Availability
Right now I have a pretty open and flexible schedule, so I'm able to work around most pet care needs. Some mornings and around midday I'm busy babysitting my baby brother, but outside of that I have lots of availability for walks, drop ins, day visits, and overnight stays. I like planning ahead and making sure I have enough time to give each pet the attention they deserve instead of trying to rush from one booking to the next!

Safety, trust & environment
I'll mostly be caring for pets in their own home because that's where they're usually the happiest and most comfortable. My goal is to keep their routine as normal as possible by following your instructions closely, respecting your home, and making sure your pet feels safe while you're away. In some cases I may be able to care for pets in my home, but it will depend on the pet. I live in a small one bedroom basement suite with my two senior cats, who are very sweet but also very timid. Because of that, I'd only consider pets that are calm, cat friendly, and comfortable in a quieter environment. No matter where I'm caring for your pet, I'll pay close attention to their behaviour, body language, and routine. I know every animal is different, and I think noticing the little things can make a big difference in helping them feel comfortable.

Information Brianne C. would like to know about your pet
The more I know about your pet beforehand, the better I can care for them! Please let me know about their personality, daily routine, medical needs, medications, allergies, fears, favourite activities, and any behaviours I should be aware of. I'd also love to know what commands or training cues you use so I can be as consistent as possible. Please let me know if your pet has any dietary restrictions and whether you're comfortable with me giving them treats, or if you'd prefer I only use treats that you provide. I don't have a preference for any particular breed. I just want to make sure we're a good fit for each other. If there's something I haven't experienced before, I'll be honest about it, ask questions, and do my research. I'd much rather learn how your pet likes things done than assume every animal is the same!
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I don't believe there's a one size fits all approach. Some dogs want to play nonstop, some would rather take their time sniffing every tree on a walk, and some just want someone to hang out with. I'll always try to match their energy and personality while sticking to the routine you've set for them. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a visit, spending the day with them, or staying overnight, they'll have fresh water, meals on schedule, bathroom breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection if they enjoy it. My goal is for them to feel relaxed, cared for, and excited to see me each time I visit!

Pet care experience
Although I've never owned a dog myself, that's because I've always understood the level of time, commitment, and responsibility they deserve. I grew up around dogs, have lived with dogs for much of my life, and regularly care for my parents' two Toy Australian Shepherds whenever they're away. They're a mother and daughter duo with very different personalities and needs. The mother is a senior with hip issues who benefits from extra patience and mobility support, while her daughter has anxiety and does best with a calm, reassuring approach and a consistent routine. Being Toy Australian Shepherds, they're also incredibly intelligent and active, so I'm used to dogs that thrive on structure, engagement, and paying close attention to their individual needs. While I don't have experience with every unique medical or behavioural situation, I've been around a wide variety of dog personalities, energy levels, and temperaments. I pay close attention to canine body language, respect each dog's boundaries, and believe that building trust is far more important than forcing interactions. Whether I'm taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a drop-in visit, spending the day with them, or caring for them overnight, I'll treat them with the same patience, attention, and respect I give the dogs in my own life. If your dog has a routine or needs I'm unfamiliar with, I'm always happy to do my research beforehand and carefully follow your instructions. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away!

Reviews
We have used Brianne to care for our elderly disabled dog while we were out of town on vacation. I was worried about leaving our girl with someone new, but Brianne was quick to make everyone feel comfortable. She went above and beyond to keep our pup calm, occupied and well loved while we were away. I appreciated regular photos and updates. Brianne was excellent to work with and we will be sure to use her again in the future.
Bri has always gone above and beyond, if my dogs have accidents in my home when she picks her up, she cleans up the accident for me. She always checks and makes sure that everything is the same each time she walks Paige, she always greats Paige with such love. Wouldn't choose another rover walker!
