“I cannot speak highly enough of Shiva! My sweet little pup is a rescue and gets very nervous around new people. She was so patient and calm with him, he felt completely comfortable immediately (I was shocked). My pup has daily walks with her and gets so excited in the mornings now to see his new bestie. Shiva is easy to communicate with and really has a love and understanding for dogs. I trust her completely with my pup and am so happy we found her!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Port Moody
"We are so incredibly grateful for Fari! Since Chawan has three legs, we are always careful about who walks her, but Fari was so patient, gentle, and kind. She treated Chawan like a member of her own family, and it was comforting to receive sweet photo updates during their walks. We could tell Chawan felt completely safe and loved. If you are looking for a dog walker who genuinely cares, look no further. We will absolutely be booking with Fari again!"

Antonia was an incredible sitter. Our two puppies (Benny and Paisley) loved her company. She was excellent, on time and had great knowledge of dogs with different needs. She walked and fed our dogs daily during our four week vacation. She was flexible and always put our dogs needs first. Highly recommend Antonia if you want a sitter that genuinely cares.

Vlada walked our 100lb Rottweiler for us and did an amazing job. She came back thoroughly exhausted (the dog - not Vlada) and very happy. When she sees Vlada coming she gets very excited. She tends to her needs very well and is very detail oriented. Will definitely be using her again in the future and would highly recommend her to others! :)

Erin is a lifesaver! She came and visited Beans twice today even with our last minute notice which was so appreciated! She did such an amazing rover card for her with details and photo updates! She is very great at handling dogs and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

We were so happy to work with Taylor and get some help with walking our 10-year-old Mexican street rescue, Antonio. She was an instant favourite of Antonio's and he was excited to go with her for each outing and sad to see her go when it was over. Taylor was a great communicator providing updates on the day to confirm arrival/pick-up and also flexible to our needs when needs changed. We look forward to working again with Taylor once Antonio's knee is healed up.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Port Moody choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
