“Bernard stayed with Angela and Walter for 3 days. It was our first time using Rover for care of our elder dog. They were open to a quick meet and greet too. Their space (indoor and outdoor) is perfect! I was so nervous because Bernard is getting older and has some back end tenderness, loss of balance, and has a specific raw diet. Walter and Angela were super responsive in communication. They followed his raw diet plan and B's walking and bathroom times. Forested walking trails are nearby and it is helpful for him to use his nose. They adhered to his feedings, sent pics and had this wonderful enthusiasm for Bernard. This was a good sign because at one point in his life Bernard was so shy and reactive with strangers. The 2nd time we asked Walter and Angela was just for a single day/night while fire alarm testing happened in our apt complex. It was a last minute thing. They were available and excited to see him. When we came over, Bernard immediately ran to them both, sidled up to them, and went into the house. It was so cool. So endearing. I knew he was in the right hands.”

About: Hello! My name is Laura and I am a stay at home mother looking to get back into working. I've had a lifetime of experience with cat and dog guardianship and find joy in spending time caring for other people's pets. I have experience with cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. We had super senior 20 pound Maine Coon mix who was anti-social and anxious. We also had a 14 year old 8 pound DSH who was super friendly, cuddly, and vocal. They were both special in their own ways. I provided life long care and end of life care to both our cats; one who had arthritis, hyper thyroid, and a heart murmur, and the other who had arthritis, advanced kidney disease, and chronic UTIs. Caring for them included administering subcutaneous fluids, various medications, and specialized foods. I am not a vet or a veterinary assistant but I believe the experience I gained from caring for my own pets shows my level of dedication to their health and wellbeing. I also have a certificate for animal first aid through Red Cross.

About: Both Becky & Dylan grew up with pets. Becky had 2 large dogs, and Dylan had 2 dogs and multiple cats. We have always had a love for animals, big and small. About: Hi there, we are Brenna and Alex and we are a small family of animal lovers ❤️ We live in beautiful Port Coquitlam with our toddler, our friendly small fox terrier mix named Hunter, and our little girl cat Murphy, and we have several years of experience with animals and pet care. Walks and outdoor play time fit into our daily schedule with ease, and with built-in socialization with our sweet fox terrier Hunter. Cat check-ins are flexible for anytime after 4pm Tues/Wed/Thu, and all day Monday, Friday, and weekends! To put it simply, my family treats your pet like our own. We always make sure to ask pet parents how they choose to do things at home so that the care we are providing to your pet helps them to feel as comfortable and at ease as possible, in their own space for drop-ins/walks, and offering loads of love at our own home. We are happy to help keep up your basic training commands with your pup or take them to their favourite spots if this is something that helps you or your pup to feel more comfortable. We also allow animals the freedom to snuggle on furniture as they wish, so if this is something that’s important in your home, rest assured your pet can comfortably make themselves at home with us!
About: I have worked at a rescue, as well as in ER/ICU. Those jobs have given me hands on experience for giving oral/injectable medicine, as well as what to do in emergencies. I am very interested in dog training and behaviour, and firmly believe in fear free approaches. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs, and know how to handle any temperament or size. I have also worked with guinea pigs, rabbits, birds (large and small), mice, and reptiles. Rover is my full time work, so I am available for whenever needed, barring overlapping visits. I am able to go between houses during the day. I will adhere to instructions left by owner(s), as well as respect that I am in your home. About: I used to have two boston terriers for 15+ years. When they passed away from old age it was really hard for me. They were healthy and just all around perfect dogs for me. I can’t describe with words how much I miss them. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be emotionally ready to own and lose my own dogs again. Right now I’m content with occasionally taking care of your dogs. Your dog/dogs can expect to be spoiled rotten with lots of affection, attentive care & mental stimulation. Any special needs can be catered to if informed ahead of time. All dogs must be house trained(except for puppies) and non aggressive towards other dogs and humans. Please bring all food, bed, toys etc to ensure your dog is not overwhelmed with too much change. I work from home full time typically from Monday to Friday 9-5. I have flexible schedule to take the dogs out for walks. It’s always nice to take a break from work. My place is usually very tidy and air conditioned. I make sure there aren’t any objects they can chew or swallow. Your dog will get one on one attention in a kid and other animal free environment.

“Bernard stayed with Angela and Walter for 3 days. It was our first time using Rover for care of our elder dog. They were open to a quick meet and greet too. Their space (indoor and outdoor) is perfect! I was so nervous because Bernard is getting older and has some back end tenderness, loss of balance, and has a specific raw diet. Walter and Angela were super responsive in communication. They followed his raw diet plan and B's walking and bathroom times. Forested walking trails are nearby and it is helpful for him to use his nose. They adhered to his feedings, sent pics and had this wonderful enthusiasm for Bernard. This was a good sign because at one point in his life Bernard was so shy and reactive with strangers. The 2nd time we asked Walter and Angela was just for a single day/night while fire alarm testing happened in our apt complex. It was a last minute thing. They were available and excited to see him. When we came over, Bernard immediately ran to them both, sidled up to them, and went into the house. It was so cool. So endearing. I knew he was in the right hands.”
