“We cannot say enough great things about Riley!! She is a wonderful, respectful and professional pet and home sitter. This is the second time she has sat for our three pups and we are so happy with her service. She was caring with her updates and took great care of our pups and our home.....for two weeks. We would definitely welcome her services again in the future! Thank you Riley, once again!!”

“Megan was fantastic with watching our kittens for the night. She sent lots of pictures, videos and kept us updated at all times. Our shy kittens were comfortable with her super quick and adapted well. She accommodated our schedule on Christmas and was great with communication. She made time to met our kittens prior which made us feel very comfortable. Would highly recommend booking Megan for your pet sitting needs!”

About: I've had animals for my entire life and was brought up with dogs of many sizes and breeds. It brings me great joy to look after animals of any kind, even the ones considered creepy and crawly. My approach is a thoughtful and caring one that aims to observe a dog/cats boundaries and work with them respectfully. I have looked after dogs and cats of all ages and sizes and know how to build a relationship with animals through care, observation, and consistency. I am currently a biology student whose goal is to pursue animal research and nature conservation. This means I will take an extremely thorough approach to caring for your animals and do any necessary research in order to better look after them. It's my passion in this field that helps me understand and work with animals. I am an extremely enthusiastic sitter and take great delight in getting to know animals and spend time with them. Whether cat, dog, or otherwise, I am looking forward to meeting them and giving them the best care possible. My weekly schedule revolves around college, I have 3 classes a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are usually long gaps between classes where I can check in on an animal or walk/feed them and I do not need to be at school all day. From Friday-Monday I have no scheduled commitments and can commit fully to looking after a higher maintenance pet. If you invite me into your home, I will be completely respectful of you animals routine and will do what it takes to keep that up for them. Whether it be walking, cuddles, playtime, baths, or anything else, as long as I have the information then I can do it. I prefer to have a document on hand of your pets needs, either digital or physical, so that I can provide the best care possible. With new animals my first objective is always to pay attention to their needs and communication styles so I can give them whatever they require. Establishing trust always comes first for me, with you and your animal. If you have any questions, needs, or concerns about care, please don't hesitate to bring them up with me. Daily updates through text can also be provided if that is something you would like while away.
“We had the pleasure of having Cara look after our dog, Finn, and she was absolutely wonderful! She kept us updated every day with photos and messages, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. Finn looked so happy and well cared for the entire time. On top of that, we came home to a spotless house, Cara even went the extra mile and washed the linens. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and thoughtful dog sitter. She truly treats your fur baby like her own!”

“Krisztina was truly exceptional and wonderful with Minky, my kitty who is a senior. She was attentive to details left for the care of the Minky, and went above and beyond. The home was left clean and well cared, as well as the attention given to Minky was fantastic. Krisztina provided updates throughout the day including pictures and videos, and even introduced Minky to new games and playtime. I would highly recommend Krisztina to care for your loved pets as she showed true love and quality time spent with Minky Will definitely be rebooking and using her services again in the near future.”

About: I have been obsessed with pets from a young age. We have had cats, dogs, birds and reptiles. My family rottweiler, Trebor, inspired a particular love of everything four legged and since then I have had shih tzus and beagles. I love all pets like they are my own and, through experience and research, have an excellent knowledge of behavioural signs and symptoms in dogs. I understand each pet is a part of the family and will treat them as such. I am currently widely available for pet sitting, walking and drop in visits. I am very flexible and will work with you to best meet your pets needs. I have a secure balcony and plenty of rooms if your dog needs there own space. I have an off leash dog walk 5 minutes away from me. As well as secure garden area for regular toilet breaks. I also have maby comfy spot for the pets to snuggle down.
“I’m so happy that my little Rio got to stay with Sandra! She was amazing, asked all the right questions in order to properly take care of my puppy, and connected really well with him. He really liked Sandra! I Couldn’t be more happy with having her spending time with Rio! I highly recommending her for anyone looking for a great person to spend time with their furry babies!”

“Steph was fantastic with our dog Kotnim. Our dog is a very traumatized rescue dog from a Korean meat farm. She is a nervous and shy girl that requires a lot of patience and medication twice a day. We left for two weeks and were very worried, but Steph did a great job with her while house sitting. She was very attuned to Kotnims needs and very understanding of the situation. She also took lots of notes about the job and asked great questions about our expectations, which made us feel very confident that she was the right fit for our girl. Thanks Steph! You have our recommendation!!”

“I have had many pet and house sitters before. Nasrin is truly special and has a unique connection with animals. Your pets will LOVE her and she goes way beyond what you request. Truly gifted and professional.”

“Ibrahim did a fantastic job watching my two dogs while I was abroad. This included administering daily medicine to one of them. He kept the house very clean, and was communicative while I was away, updating me on how the dogs were doing. I will definitely hire him again to watch my two dogs!”

“So grateful we found Aly! Knowing she will be watching Rosie and our house while we are away means we can relax and enjoy our vacation. She sends pics and updates daily. Highly recommend her!”

“Averi was amazing. She took care of my 2l little ones while I went on my 50th bday vacation. She sent me messages, pictures and videos of my babies everyday as she knew what they mean to me and how much I would be missing them. I highly recommend Averi for watching your loved pets as she is caring, responsible and great at communication. I am very thankful that I found her on Rover.com. Thank you Averi!!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs around my whole life, my childhood dog I had for 16 years recently passed away beggining of this year, so getting to be around dogs is really important to me and brings me a lot of joy. I have taken care of family and friends fur babies for over 4 years now. I’ve just recently resigned from my job at first on site restoration after two years to pursue dog sitting full time, so I will have plenty of time to put towards your fur babies. I will make sure your pet is well loved and taken care of while you’re away. As well as always making sure to keep your home clean and tidy as well.

About: I am in school to become a certified dog trainer and instructor. I worked with wolves as a teenager. I have worked as a vet assistant. I also work and foster dogs with a rescue called snow dogs rescue society. I have done a lot of training and pet sitting over the years. I have a wealth of knowledge of behaviour and skills I’ve developed from my years of working with animals! I do behaviour analysis for snow dogs rescue society. I am currently finishing school to become a certified dog trainer. So my schedule is very flexible right now. I can move things around as needed. I also drive so that makes pet care easier. I love going for hikes and walks. I know how important play is for dogs as well so I always make sure I incorporate that into my care. It’s a great outlet for their energy and helps with the mental stimulation they need. I love animals. So their care is always my first priority! Making sure I follow whatever food diet or restrictions their owners have for them.
“Theo was wonderful with Lily. Lily needed some extra care in terms of medication and hygiene, Theo followed all our instructions diligently. She also left our house sparkling clean, which was very much appreciated.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Baran as our dog sitter. Baran stayed in our home and took excellent care of our pet baby, treating them with genuine love and attention. Communication was outstanding throughout — we received regular updates and felt completely at ease while we were away. Baran is incredibly trustworthy, respectful of our home, and clearly formed a real bond with our dog. It was obvious our pet felt safe, happy, and comfortable the entire time. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Baran again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life as well as looked after other dogs starting from a few hours to multiple days. I love learning your dogs personalities and interests. Will care for your dogs as if they were mine. I am a student and part time worker so can take care of your dogs in the evening or Tuesdays and Thursdays during the day. I have experience walking and training my own dogs. I love spending time and learning dogs personalities. I am confident I can support you and your dogs needs.
About: What sets me apart? I am confident with large dogs, including farm and guard dogs! I discovered a love for big dogs when my mum adopted a hound mix who grew to be a 120lb wrecking ball of dopey energy. I've had a soft spot for the big ones ever since, and take particular pleasure in befriending them. I believe communication between human and dog is critical. A person's body language and tone of voice can say more to a dog than words ever could. That means I physically get down onto their level for affection, I use positive reinforcement consistently, I talk with them throughout walks, and I keep an eye on their body language as well for signs of happiness, fear, apprehension, etc. I'm confident walking on city streets, in forests/on trails, and in off-leash zones. I just need to know what your pup is most comfortable with and we'll go from there! APRIL 1 - NOV 1 availability Mon - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Tues - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Weds - unavailable Thurs - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Fri - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Sat - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Sun - 6:00am to 8:00pm I work at my job most mornings so will generally not be able to accommodate morning requests. I am keen to operate within the parameters and routines you've established inside and outside your home, in order to maintain continuity for your pet. This includes checking in with you for specific command words, encouraged and discouraged behaviours and their corresponding rewards/corrections, social situations to work on or avoid, favourite routes, etc. Personally, my pet cat receives as much attention as I can give him. He is highly affectionate, so is usually parked on my lap or somewhere nearby. I used treats/positive reinforcement to train him to shake a paw and sit down. My great fear for my little guy, and for all pets, really, is that he is bored, understimulated, or lonely. Because of this, I pay special attention to making sure that he is being physically and mentally stimulated in addition to affection. That means exercise and puzzles! I love to find simple games whether we're outside or inside - find-the-thing, makeshift tunnels to run through (if you're brave), seeking out tiny forest creatures to discover, etc. I'm always looking for new brain games for dogs, so if you have a favourite, let me know!
“I was so grateful to have Jillian look after my kitty and home while I was away. She's very friendly and sweet and sent regular updates while we were away so we knew how Geronimo was doing. She even cleaned before she left so we didn't have to do a thing when we came home. I would definitely recommend her and will book with her again. Thanks so much Jillian!”

About: I used to have two boston terriers for 15+ years. When they passed away from old age it was really hard for me. They were healthy and just all around perfect dogs for me. I can’t describe with words how much I miss them. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be emotionally ready to own and lose my own dogs again. Right now I’m content with occasionally taking care of your dogs. Your dog/dogs can expect to be spoiled rotten with lots of affection, attentive care & mental stimulation. Any special needs can be catered to if informed ahead of time. All dogs must be house trained(except for puppies) and non aggressive towards other dogs and humans. Please bring all food, bed, toys etc to ensure your dog is not overwhelmed with too much change. I work from home full time typically from Monday to Friday 9-5. I have flexible schedule to take the dogs out for walks. It’s always nice to take a break from work. My place is usually very tidy and air conditioned. I make sure there aren’t any objects they can chew or swallow. Your dog will get one on one attention in a kid and other animal free environment.
Anmore pet parents share their Rover experiences
We had a great experience with Averi while she cared for Olive for three days. She was reliable, always on time, and kept consistent contact with us throughout. We really appreciate the frequent updates, including lots of photos and she kept our place super clean, which was amazing and Olive got plenty of walks and attention. It was clear she was well cared for we would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter.

Mikayla was a great sitter for our dog Lilly. It was the first time we used Rover and it was a great experience. She took great care of our home and Lilly. We will hopefully have her sit for us again in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone needing a great person to watch their fur baby.

From start to finish, Carrie-Ann was a complete professional. Asking all the important questions that were needed to get to know my little Luna. Every single day I received many photos of Luna , which made me feel at ease, knowing she was well taken care of. Absolutely 110% will be booking Carrie-Ann again in the future. Hands down, Luna had the best time with her. :)

Karina and Matt were incredible dog/house sitters. It's the first time we've used a service like Rover to book a dog sitter, and we were a tad nervous about the process, but the meet-and-greet with Karina and Matt put us at ease. They answered all our questions, were really communicative and punctual. While we were away, they sent us updates on our dog, and they took really great care of our home. As happy as our dog was to see us when we got home, I think she also misses her new friends! I would highly recommend Karina to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog.

This was the 2nd time Megan watched Finley and we were super happy with her stay and trust her watching our pup! She was timely and provided updates that we absolutely loved! Finley was so excited to see and hangout with her again. She also was able to accommodate super last minute which we are grateful for. Would love Megan to watch Finley again anytime and recommend her to others!

Gustavo was a fantastic choice for looking after our pets and home for a multi-day trip away. He is a considerate, kind and responsible person that has earned my trust. The furry creatures love to see him and also my temperamental plants survived as bonus... haha. Would definitely book again in the future. Thanks Gustavo!

Louise was very easy and cooperative to deal with and I liked her confidence and good communication skills. She left the condo very clean and tidy. Daisy my elderly dog was very well cared for and I liked getting the photos that she texted to me. I would definitely ask for Louise again.

We couldn’t be happier with the care our dogs received from Jade during our vacation. She went above and beyond in every way, truly making our time away stress-free. The dogs were clearly in great hands. Jade made sure they felt comfortable and loved, and they were well cared for throughout the entire time. She followed all our instructions carefully and even took the time to give them extra attention and playtime, which they loved. Our dogs were calm, happy, and well-adjusted when we returned, which speaks volumes about how well they were treated. On top of dog-sitting, she also cared for our garden, making sure everything stayed healthy and well-maintained. It was such a relief knowing that not only were our pets in good hands, but our home and plants were too. We highly recommend Jade and will definitely be reaching out again for future trips. She’s responsible, kind, and thoughtful, and we truly appreciate all the care and effort she put into making sure our pets and home were happy in our absence.
