“Riley took very good care of my furry family and my home. On top of that, she helped me solve some forgotten items on my weekend away. I so appreciated her care and great communication! Thank you so much!”

About: What sets me apart is that I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have three of my own, so I’m very comfortable with different personalities and energy levels. I have experience walking neighbourhood dogs and can easily build trust with new dogs. I’m also confident reinforcing basic commands and good leash manners, and I always focus on keeping dogs safe, happy, and comfortable while in my care. Pet care is already a big part of my daily life since I have three dogs at home. My day naturally revolves around walks, outdoor time, and making sure they’re cared for, so adding more pet care fits in easily. With a flexible schedule, I’m able to take on walks and visits throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy being around dogs, so it’s something that blends into my routine in a really easy and positive way. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, and any special instructions. I make sure they have fresh water, attention, and a safe, comfortable environment. During walks, I focus on safety, exercise, and making sure each dog is happy and comfortable.
“Cara has become part of our family. She loves our babies and keeps them safe and happy when we travel. Cara has a wonderful connection with animals and any pet parent wishing to travel without their precious babies, would be very lucky to hire her.”

Our shy kittens were comfortable with her super quick and adapted well. She accommodated our schedule on Christmas and was great with communication. About: I have been a dog trainer for the past 26 years and I have had pets all my life. I know how important it is to find someone reliable to take care of your pet while you are at work, or away. I have had my fare share of dog walkers cancelling at the last minute so I know the frustration with finding a reliable and responsible person. I am now 50 years old and will be there for your dog or cat, as agreed and as needed. I recently lost my big Rhodesian Ridgeback. We hiked every day for his ten year life. He was a well trained (by me) but spoiled boy who slept in my bed and was allowed on the sofa. I would treat yours based on your own rules but they would be loved and completely cared for. I find myself not wanting another dog of my own just yet but wanting to take care of others while I have the time. No I don’t train monkeys or alpacas :) My schedule is entirely open starting June 15th, 2026. I can do day or evening walks, any day of the week. Boarding would consist of walking your dog everyday, max 2 dogs at a time. I have a very large home in Westwood Plateau. I have a fenced yard that we can hang out in after our walks, which would usually be in the forest where they can be on or off leash once we get to know each other.
About: What sets me apart? I am confident with large dogs, including farm and guard dogs! I discovered a love for big dogs when my mum adopted a hound mix who grew to be a 120lb wrecking ball of dopey energy. I've had a soft spot for the big ones ever since, and take particular pleasure in befriending them. I believe communication between human and dog is critical. A person's body language and tone of voice can say more to a dog than words ever could. That means I physically get down onto their level for affection, I use positive reinforcement consistently, I talk with them throughout walks, and I keep an eye on their body language as well for signs of happiness, fear, apprehension, etc. I'm confident walking on city streets, in forests/on trails, and in off-leash zones. I just need to know what your pup is most comfortable with and we'll go from there! APRIL 1 - NOV 1 availability Mon - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Tues - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Weds - unavailable Thurs - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Fri - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Sat - 12:30pm to 8:00pm Sun - 6:00am to 8:00pm I work at my job most mornings so will generally not be able to accommodate morning requests. I am keen to operate within the parameters and routines you've established inside and outside your home, in order to maintain continuity for your pet. This includes checking in with you for specific command words, encouraged and discouraged behaviours and their corresponding rewards/corrections, social situations to work on or avoid, favourite routes, etc. Personally, my pet cat receives as much attention as I can give him. He is highly affectionate, so is usually parked on my lap or somewhere nearby. I used treats/positive reinforcement to train him to shake a paw and sit down. My great fear for my little guy, and for all pets, really, is that he is bored, understimulated, or lonely. Because of this, I pay special attention to making sure that he is being physically and mentally stimulated in addition to affection. That means exercise and puzzles! I love to find simple games whether we're outside or inside - find-the-thing, makeshift tunnels to run through (if you're brave), seeking out tiny forest creatures to discover, etc. I'm always looking for new brain games for dogs, so if you have a favourite, let me know!
“I’m so thankful for Nasrin! I had an unfortunate events come up and she was able to housesit buddy at last minute notice! Over the long weekend, she kept me updated and was always quick to reply. Buddy was so happy playing with Nasrin. Super friendly, super professional. 10/10”

“Dmytro was amazing with my anxious dog. It was sweet seeing them getting closer on the photos. The house was as clean as I left it. We would definitely book him again. I highly recommend him to anyone with anxious pets. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

About: I have over 12 years of personal experience caring for my own dog, along with professional experience working as a Dog Walker and Associate at a busy dog daycare. I also worked as a Veterinary Assistant in a pet clinic, where I gained hands-on experience with dog behavior, health monitoring, feeding routines, medication support, and caring for dogs with different personalities and needs. What sets me apart is my calm, patient, and attentive approach with animals. I understand how important trust, safety, and consistency are for both pets and owners. I’m comfortable with puppies, high-energy dogs, senior dogs, and shy or anxious pets. I always make sure dogs feel safe, loved, exercised, and well cared for while in my care. I provide frequent potty breaks, engaging walks, playtime, regular updates with photos, and a clean, comfortable environment. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I truly enjoy spending time with dogs and caring for them. I currently work part-time on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so I have a flexible schedule during the rest of the week. I’m available for dog walks and potty breaks at different times throughout the day, and for boarding I’m currently available on Monday and Tuesday nights. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, active, and well cared for. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I always focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow each pet’s regular routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any special instructions. I make sure dogs get enough exercise, attention, and companionship throughout the day, while also keeping a clean, calm, and stress-free environment. I’m attentive to each dog’s personality and needs, and I always treat pets with patience and care as if they were my own.
“Avery stayed with our two dogs ( both under 2) for 8 nights. We are very thankful for her attentiveness and care for our dogs and for us. Avery kept us well updated and sent pictures regularly. She stayed in our home and all was exceptionally cared for. She made our vacation more relaxing because we didn’t have to worry. It was our first vacation away leaving them for this long with someone who wasn’t family. We will definitely use Avery again. Thank you Avery! Sage and Ember look forward to seeing you again!”

As well, my partner is a certified vet tech in-clinic so your pet(s) will be in great hands! We often arrange nail trims, for example, while we watch pets. :) Right now I'm in-between jobs so my availability is very open! Once I start working full-time again, our home is typically available for boarding drop offs weekdays after ~4:30pm (depending on my partner's availability) and weekends all day! I can also walk dogs as needed on most days. I love going for after-dinner walks to get fresh air as well as spontaneous walks throughout the day so your dog(s) will get plenty of fresh air and exercise. I also enjoy interacting with animals as I walk by and move around my home so they're sure to get lots of attention. I can also easily crate your dog if needed.

I felt my dogs were very safe and comfortable around Ellie. She came over to meet them and spent one night with them and she was on time and made sure they were well taken care of. She also kept contact by sending photos and updates throughout! I look forward to having her dog sit again in the future!

We had a great experience with Averi while she cared for Olive for three days. She was reliable, always on time, and kept consistent contact with us throughout. We really appreciate the frequent updates, including lots of photos and she kept our place super clean, which was amazing and Olive got plenty of walks and attention. It was clear she was well cared for we would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter.

Mikayla was a great sitter for our dog Lilly. It was the first time we used Rover and it was a great experience. She took great care of our home and Lilly. We will hopefully have her sit for us again in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone needing a great person to watch their fur baby.

From start to finish, Carrie-Ann was a complete professional. Asking all the important questions that were needed to get to know my little Luna. Every single day I received many photos of Luna , which made me feel at ease, knowing she was well taken care of. Absolutely 110% will be booking Carrie-Ann again in the future. Hands down, Luna had the best time with her. :)

Karina and Matt were incredible dog/house sitters. It's the first time we've used a service like Rover to book a dog sitter, and we were a tad nervous about the process, but the meet-and-greet with Karina and Matt put us at ease. They answered all our questions, were really communicative and punctual. While we were away, they sent us updates on our dog, and they took really great care of our home. As happy as our dog was to see us when we got home, I think she also misses her new friends! I would highly recommend Karina to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog.

This was the 2nd time Megan watched Finley and we were super happy with her stay and trust her watching our pup! She was timely and provided updates that we absolutely loved! Finley was so excited to see and hangout with her again. She also was able to accommodate super last minute which we are grateful for. Would love Megan to watch Finley again anytime and recommend her to others!

Gustavo was a fantastic choice for looking after our pets and home for a multi-day trip away. He is a considerate, kind and responsible person that has earned my trust. The furry creatures love to see him and also my temperamental plants survived as bonus... haha. Would definitely book again in the future. Thanks Gustavo!

Louise was very easy and cooperative to deal with and I liked her confidence and good communication skills. She left the condo very clean and tidy. Daisy my elderly dog was very well cared for and I liked getting the photos that she texted to me. I would definitely ask for Louise again.

We couldn’t be happier with the care our dogs received from Jade during our vacation. She went above and beyond in every way, truly making our time away stress-free. The dogs were clearly in great hands. Jade made sure they felt comfortable and loved, and they were well cared for throughout the entire time. She followed all our instructions carefully and even took the time to give them extra attention and playtime, which they loved. Our dogs were calm, happy, and well-adjusted when we returned, which speaks volumes about how well they were treated. On top of dog-sitting, she also cared for our garden, making sure everything stayed healthy and well-maintained. It was such a relief knowing that not only were our pets in good hands, but our home and plants were too. We highly recommend Jade and will definitely be reaching out again for future trips. She’s responsible, kind, and thoughtful, and we truly appreciate all the care and effort she put into making sure our pets and home were happy in our absence.

FAQs for House Sitting - Anmore
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Anmore on Rover is $35.52 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,198 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Anmore. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Anmore maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Anmore walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Anmore choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 91% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
