“I felt really comfortable leaving my pup with Leigh after our meet-and-greet. He was happy and tuckered out from a day of playing when I picked him up. Would highly recommend Leigh, and will definitely employ her services again!”

“Viktoryia provided our XXL puppy with daycare. She took him walking which he loves and helps with his young mental and physical energies. She communicated on Rover before and during the reservation as well as sent pictures and an update on the daycare day which we appreciated. Thank you.”

“I am so grateful I found Shelley. After we did a pre-meet, Rex did a full 12 hour day with Shelley, and by the time Rex came home, he could barely keep his eyes open. She has a great space with lots of trail access behind. Seems like Rex had a great time and I will definitely be using Shelley’s service again! Thank you!”

“Toby had a wonderful experience. He was treated with so much care and patience, and I felt completely at ease while he was in their care. They were kind, attentive, and maintained great communication throughout his stay. It’s clear that they truly love dogs and genuinely care about their well-being. I would definitely trust them to take care of Toby again. Thank you so much for everything!”

About: Save $20 with this link if you’re new to Rover: https://www.rover.com/sit/reneec27232 Hi, I’m Renee 👋 I provide reliable house sitting and drop-in visits so your pet can stay comfortable in their own home. I offer calm, attentive care with photo updates every visit, giving you peace of mind while you’re away. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with two English Cocker Spaniels and a cat, and I also helped care for my grandma’s senior dog, which taught me patience and attentiveness from a young age. I ensure your furry family members receive personalized, loving care based on their routines and personalities. I’m especially comfortable with cats of all temperaments, whether they’re social or more reserved, and I always tailor my care to meet each pet’s unique needs. I’m currently not working, so I’m available for boarding or dog-walking any day at any time. Whether you need someone for a drop-in visit or extended care, I’m flexible and ready to provide the attention and care your pets deserve. I only take one pet at a time. Living in a house with a yard. Lots of trails nearby. I can walk your fur baby daily or let them play in the yard with fence. Safety is my priority!!
“Justine is absolutely amazing! You can tell right away how much she cares. I always have total peace of mind knowing my dog is happy, well supervised, and getting plenty of attention and affection. She sends adorable pictures of your dog, which is such a thoughtful and fun touch, it honestly makes my day every time. I can’t recommend her highly enough!”

“Tanya was absolutely lovely, had great quick communication and sent lots of photos and updates throughout the day. Appreciate her for getting us in last minute and for a long day 🥰”

“Such great pet sitter :))) gloria was very communicative and kind. We had a facetime call before initially meeting properly and i knew that my dog would be okay while i was gone.”

“This is my first time doing doggy day care and I'm so glad I did it with Sami and Kate! They sent pictures throughout the day and walked my 3-month old puppy 4x with the hopes of teaching him to potty while walking outside. I'm so satisfied that I just booked another 3 days of doggy day care this week. Thanks so much Sami and Kate!”

“Sunny is always great with Churro! She consistently sends updates and pictures and is very transparent and communicative. I always feel confident leaving Churro in her care.”

“This was my first time using the app and the first time leaving my fur baby with a stranger. I was skeptic but Viktoriia was very reassuring that her experience with dogs was one I could trust. She checked in with pictures which made me feel at ease. Definitely will continue using her services whenever I need it.”

About: I have been a dog trainer for the past 26 years and I have had pets all my life. I know how important it is to find someone reliable to take care of your pet while you are at work, or away. I have had my fare share of dog walkers cancelling at the last minute so I know the frustration with finding a reliable and responsible person. I am now 50 years old and will be there for your dog or cat, as agreed and as needed. I recently lost my big Rhodesian Ridgeback. We hiked every day for his ten year life. He was a well trained (by me) but spoiled boy who slept in my bed and was allowed on the sofa. I would treat yours based on your own rules but they would be loved and completely cared for. I find myself not wanting another dog of my own just yet but wanting to take care of others while I have the time. * Doggy day care max 8 hrs * House sit/boarding 24 hours * Dog walking one hour * Home visits 20-30 minutes My schedule is open but new dogs I will book solo so we get to know each other first. I can do day or evening walks, any day of the week. Boarding would consist of walking your dog everyday, max 2 dogs at a time. I have a very large home in Westwood Plateau. I have a fenced yard that we can hang out in after our walks, which would usually be in the forest where they can be on or off leash once we get to know each other.
“Priya was very nice with them. Did her best to make my dogs feel comfortable and break the ice. I was really anxious about leaving them with a dog sitter since they usually stay with friends, so I left them for few hours with Priya as a trial. It turned out great. They did so well with her. I’ll be leaving them with her for 3 nights in coming weeks.”

About: I’m new to Rover (July 2026) but not new to animal care. From hedgehogs to horses, veterinary clinics to forestry camps, I’ve loved and provided various levels of care for my own animals and the animals of others for over 25 years. I have a flexible schedule, don’t overcommit, and respect people’s time and their dog’s individual needs. I approach difficult interactions with clear communication, endless patience, and deep compassion, whether it’s an overenthusiastic puppy, an anxious but lovable giant, or a client who needs extra help while they’re juggling the demands of a busy life. I accept last minute bookings and cancellations because I know life and pets are unpredictable. I generally don’t schedule my life more than a few days (or hours) in advance, which means I’m able to take last minute bookings and help you out when an unexpected crisis leaves you scrambling for pet care. I accept last minute bookings and cancellations because I know life and pets are unpredictable. Evening bookings for walks and visits are generally limited to 8pm. My schedule is flexible, so I have the freedom to give each pet the time and attention they need. I’m available for home visits, walks, feeding, play, and companionship throughout the week.
“Jennifer and David were great with Momo!! Thank you for reporting all the walks and the potty breaks!! And thank you for all the pictures throughout the day!! They were soooo reassuring and comforting!! 🙏🏻😊🙏🏻😊 It made having her with a new sitter very reassuring and I could focus on the requirements of my new job knowing that my girl was being well cared for.”

“Paniz and Saeir were amazing with Finnigan!! I got lots of photo updates throughout the day and at our meet and greet they had such a gentle approach with him which my anxious guy definitely needed. I will definitely be asking them to watch him again!”

About: I’m a product designer working from home, so I have plenty time staying with your pup:) I have a 16month Labradoodle boy:) He is very gentle and friendly with other dogs. I know how to keep puppies entertained and help them learn, while also providing gentle care for puppies or senior dogs who might need extra attention. Lots of toys at home, dog parks and trails nearby! I love all dogs, but I think a small dog would be best suited for the size of my apartment. I treat every dog like they’re part of my family and make sure every dog feels safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away! I make sure to take my dog on walks 3-4 times a day, and I’m always happy to adapt to the specific care needs and requests of each pet owner. My husband and I live in an apartment with a private rooftop patio in Port Moody, which means lots of play area for your pups!Plenty parks and dog parks nearby!

Riley was an amazing sitter for my puppy Peaches! Peaches had so much fun playing with her dog Abby, walking, and chilling out. Riley sent lots of updates throughout the day. Peaches came home very happy and worn out, ready for a nap. Will definitely rebook! :)

Julia is friendly and flexible! She has taken care of my baby multiple times while I am at work. She sends me lots of photos and updates. My baby feels safe around her that every picture she sends me, he looks happy and comfortable. That's the best thing you want as a dog parent. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.
Kerry took great care of Indie and they really looked after her and her needs. We had plenty of updates throughout the day which we really appreciated. They were patient with her as she’s a little anxious and shy at first, but it was great for her to have lovely Mochi to play with too - hopefully they’ll soon become good friends! We will ask them to look after Indie again and recommend them to all.

First time for our Tessie to be with a sitter and she really enjoyed her stay! Jen is very pleasant, trustworthy and kind. Tessie also really enjoyed the attention from the girls. The photos were appreciated and we look forward to another stay. Thanks so much.

Tracey is an amazing dog sitter. It was Loki's first experience to stay with the new people and we were more than lucky to have Tracey to host him. I believe it was one of the best days in Loki's life. He has got so much care , attention and kindness from Tracey and her husband Matt. They have a lovely place and 2 sweet dogs of their own. Thank you so much!

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Anmore commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in BC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 80% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
