“Anne (and Macy) were great ! We had a meet and greet visit and left feeling confident that Deuce would be in good hands. We may need a couple of more trial sessions before both the dogs are comfortable. Definitely recommend Anne - you can see her genuine care and love for animals.”

“I felt really comfortable leaving my pup with Leigh after our meet-and-greet. He was happy and tuckered out from a day of playing when I picked him up. Would highly recommend Leigh, and will definitely employ her services again!”

“Viktoryia provided our XXL puppy with daycare. She took him walking which he loves and helps with his young mental and physical energies. She communicated on Rover before and during the reservation as well as sent pictures and an update on the daycare day which we appreciated. Thank you.”

“I am so grateful I found Shelley. After we did a pre-meet, Rex did a full 12 hour day with Shelley, and by the time Rex came home, he could barely keep his eyes open. She has a great space with lots of trail access behind. Seems like Rex had a great time and I will definitely be using Shelley’s service again! Thank you!”

I offer calm, attentive care with photo updates every visit, giving you peace of mind while you’re away. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with two English Cocker Spaniels and a cat, and I also helped care for my grandma’s senior dog, which taught me patience and attentiveness from a young age. I ensure your furry family members receive personalized, loving care based on their routines and personalities. I’m especially comfortable with cats of all temperaments, whether they’re social or more reserved, and I always tailor my care to meet each pet’s unique needs. I’m available for boarding or dog-walking any day at any time. Whether you need someone for a drop-in visit or extended care, I’m flexible and ready to provide the attention and care your pets deserve. I only take one pet at a time. Living in a house with a yard. Lots of trails nearby. I can walk your fur baby daily or let them play in the yard with fence. Safety is my priority!!
“Justine had our pup for daycare and did fantastic with him, being sure to meet his needs while having fun! We had regular updates and a lovely report card of Max. The environment was great and Justine has a loving, caring personality making sure Max was comfortable and happy all day. I would definitely recommend her for daycare.”

“Gloria has been so patient with my little senior dog. It’s super awesome to see how excited and happy he is to arrive at her place. Can’t be more grateful for how attentive, kind and compassionate she is!”

“Paniz and Saeir were amazing with Finnigan!! I got lots of photo updates throughout the day and at our meet and greet they had such a gentle approach with him which my anxious guy definitely needed. I will definitely be asking them to watch him again!”

“Rena and her pup, cookie, took great care of my puppy. She is a wonderful dog sitter and it’s so nice to have her experienced pup teach mine who is learning. She takes him out for many walks and plays with him too. I feel very lucky to have found Rena who is a very convenient drop off and pick up for me on the days I need to go into the office.”

“Sunny was great with Dolce. I appreciate the regular photo updates and is attentive to her wellbeing. So much so, that when we went to pick her up, she wanted to go back into Sunny's home. A great sign if you ask me! I would defo book again! Thank you for allowing me to be at ease when I am away.”

“This was my first time using the app and the first time leaving my fur baby with a stranger. I was skeptic but Viktoriia was very reassuring that her experience with dogs was one I could trust. She checked in with pictures which made me feel at ease. Definitely will continue using her services whenever I need it.”

About: I have been a dog trainer for the past 26 years and I have had pets all my life. I know how important it is to find someone reliable to take care of your pet while you are at work, or away. I have had my fare share of dog walkers cancelling at the last minute so I know the frustration with finding a reliable and responsible person. I am now 50 years old and will be there for your dog or cat, as agreed and as needed. I recently lost my big Rhodesian Ridgeback. We hiked every day for his ten year life. He was a well trained (by me) but spoiled boy who slept in my bed and was allowed on the sofa. I would treat yours based on your own rules but they would be loved and completely cared for. I find myself not wanting another dog of my own just yet but wanting to take care of others while I have the time. * Doggy day care max 8 hrs * House sit at your home two dogs max * Boarding in my home 1 dog max at a time except in special circumstances * Dog walking one hour up to 3 dogs max * Home visits 20-30 minutes My schedule is open but new dogs I will book solo so we get to know each other first. I can do day or evening walks, any day of the week. Boarding at my home would consist of walking your dog twice daily everyday, right now I am only booking boarding for one dog at a time except in special circumstances. Can do stays or sits in your home for two dogs max. I have a very large home in Westwood Plateau. I have a fenced yard that we can hang out in after our walks, which would usually be in the forest where they can be on or off leash once we get to know each other.
“Mochi had a great time, he’s been content and sleeping since coming home! Loved that he got outside time even with the possibility of rain. Appreciated the updates and photos. Will come back again :)”

“Tanya is really friendly, good at communicating, and took excellent care of my Ollie boy! She provided me with updates and photos throughout the stay and I always felt like Ollie was in good hands. Won't hesitate to book again!”

“This is my first time doing doggy day care and I'm so glad I did it with Sami and Kate! They sent pictures throughout the day and walked my 3-month old puppy 4x with the hopes of teaching him to potty while walking outside. I'm so satisfied that I just booked another 3 days of doggy day care this week. Thanks so much Sami and Kate!”

“Binks (and I) absolutely adore Jennifer and David. They even have a Binks doppelgänger who seems to run their household, so I knew right away he was in the right place. When I first found them, I was rushing to make a deadline, and they kindly stepped in to take care of Binks without hesitation. He bonded with them immediately — he recognizes the familiar smells of a loving home, and they truly understand what it means to care for a high‑energy doodle. Their knowledge of dog behavior gave me complete confidence in leaving my four‑legged kid with them. Binks normally hates my phone, yet somehow they still managed to send me the most amazing photos. And whatever magic they worked… he came home exhausted — in the best way. I wholeheartedly recommend Jennifer and David as dog sitters. Thank you, Jen and Dave, for taking such wonderful care of my boy. ❤️”

“My dog Leo recently had a doggy daycare session with Kevin and Lana. They were attentive to his needs and took him on walks for exercise. They provided regular updates and responded to questions/concerns right away. I would recommend Kevin and Lana!”

I currently work part-time, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pups! I’m available for boarding on weekends and weekdays after 2 p.m. Pet care is a key part of my daily routine, as I ensure your pets receive plenty of playtime, attention, and care. My schedule is flexible enough to accommodate your dog’s needs while also ensuring their safety, trust, and a comfortable environment. Riley was an amazing sitter for my puppy Peaches! Peaches had so much fun playing with her dog Abby, walking, and chilling out. Riley sent lots of updates throughout the day. Peaches came home very happy and worn out, ready for a nap. Will definitely rebook! :)

Julia is friendly and flexible! She has taken care of my baby multiple times while I am at work. She sends me lots of photos and updates. My baby feels safe around her that every picture she sends me, he looks happy and comfortable. That's the best thing you want as a dog parent. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.
Kerry took great care of Indie and they really looked after her and her needs. We had plenty of updates throughout the day which we really appreciated. They were patient with her as she’s a little anxious and shy at first, but it was great for her to have lovely Mochi to play with too - hopefully they’ll soon become good friends! We will ask them to look after Indie again and recommend them to all.

First time for our Tessie to be with a sitter and she really enjoyed her stay! Jen is very pleasant, trustworthy and kind. Tessie also really enjoyed the attention from the girls. The photos were appreciated and we look forward to another stay. Thanks so much.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Anmore commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in BC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 81% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
