“Highly recommend this high energy household for all your doggy needs. My boy had the best time and is looking forward to his next weekend with who he claims is now his second family!”

“Robin was lovely to deal with. She's very responsive and seems to genuinely care for dogs. Lola seemed comfy with her right away and seemed well taken care of for the two nights she stayed with Robin.”

“This was Archie's third stay with Leigh and her lovely family and as always he absolutely loved it there! Our pup was there for a week and it was wonderful having the peace of mind to enjoy our trip knowing that he was in good hands.”

“Our Shiba Yuki boarded with Sunny for 8 days, and we are so happy with the experience. It was our first time being away for so many days and leaving her with a dogsitter. Sunny is really patient. Her quiet home and calm personality is well suited for our anxious dog. Yuki bonded with Sunny immediately, which made us very comfortable and able to enjoy our vacation with no worries. She has a nice enclosed backyard for fun times, and Yuki loves it. We trust Sunny very much.”

“Virginie and Samuel were so great with our 8-month old pup Tango. They sent us regular updates and kept Tango active and happy. It was the puppy’s first time away from us and Virginie and Samuel gave him lots of love and reassurance. The minute we walked in, Tango already found a toy of theirs to play with. Thank you for taking such good care of our dog!”

“This is our second time having Tony stay with Lisa, and she truly goes above and beyond! Tony is very well taken care of and loves spending time with Lisa’s dog, Elsa. We love all the updates Lisa provides. Thank you, Lisa!”

“Here’s an updated version: We couldn’t be more grateful to Lisa and Lonny for taking such wonderful care of Qubit for 8 days! She’s a handful—hyperactive and a bit reactive—but they handled her with patience, skill, and lots of love. It was clear from the updates and photos they shared that she was happy, well-exercised, and comfortable in their care. Knowing she was in such good hands gave us real peace of mind during our trip. Thank you both so much—we’ll definitely reach out again next time we need a sitter!”

“My dog Roxy is always happy to go one the great walks and enjoys the family’s company. We just had our second visit and nice to see my dog so happy! Shelley, you know we will be seeing you again! 😊 thanks for your time with Roxy!”

“Elizabeth is great, our dog has stayed with her 3 times now. I was impressed at how when we arrived at her place this time Bella excitedly followed her right in without looking back. She must really be enjoying her stays.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Jen&Steve!! They took our 15 month old yellow lab, Lenny in to their home for nine nights while we were on vacation and treated them just like their own boy, Red. We received updates every day with photos that eased our minds as it was the first time using Rover and first time leaving our pup. Lenny had so so much fun playing and snuggling with Red and going on lots of adventures. We couldn't have found anyone better to take care of our pup while we were gone. We would 100000% rebook with them when we need care for Lenny again. We picked him up today and he's already missing his new buddy. If you're looking for anyone to care for your dog book with Jen and Steve! You and your pupper will not regret it!”

“Justine took such great care of my dog Bo! She was super friendly, communicative, and easy to coordinate with! She sent lots of photos and kept me in the loop while I was away for the weekend, it gave me such peace of mind. I would 100% recommend her and book with her again ☺️”

“Kat, Darrell and family - we can’t thank you enough for taking care of our little dog. Such good communication with lots of pictures made us know she was well looked after. We would highly recommend this family and are very grateful to have found them on Rover.com”

About: I’m new to Rover (July 2026) but not new to animal care. From hedgehogs to horses, veterinary clinics to forestry camps, I’ve loved and provided various levels of care for my own and the animals of others for over 25 years. I approach difficult interactions with clear communication, endless patience, and deep compassion, whether it’s an overenthusiastic puppy, an anxious but lovable giant, or a client who needs extra help while they’re juggling the demands of a busy life. I know that finding pet care that balances cost and convenience isn’t easy, and it’s incredibly difficult to trust someone else to give your dog the same level of care and attention that you do. Nobody can do it as well as you, but I like to think I’m a pretty good stand-in when needed. Before accepting bookings, I always book a meet and greet in the location the care will take place to make sure that everyone feels confident in the fit. I have a flexible schedule, don’t overcommit, and respect people’s time and their dog’s individual needs. I work from home and plan errands/outings accordingly, so your dog will not be left alone when in my care unless previously discussed with you. *Service area for walking/drop ins limited to the general neighbourhoods of Suter Brook, Newport, and Klahanie. *Current prices are introductory for the summer *Daycare that lasts more than 8 hours or extends into the evening *may* be charged at a higher rate. *Bookings for walks and drop in visits are generally limited to the hours of 9am-7pm. While small, our apartment is as dog friendly as you could hope for. Surrounded by trails starting at our back door and a dog bakery downstairs, we never run out of places to explore or shady forest areas to relax in. Safety-first for us means baby gates that close off unsupervised areas and options for individual calm spaces. I’m available for daycare, home visits, walks, feeding, play, and companionship throughout the week. Overnight boarding is an option open to repeat daycare clients once we’ve determined the dog is comfortable in the environment. I try to maintain as much continuity as possible when caring for your pets, following routines and rules as closely as possible in order to reduce confusion and disruption to their lives. If you don’t let them up on the couch, neither will I. If they sleep on your bed, they can sleep on mine—as long as they don’t snore too loudly. *for daycare and boarding, my partner helps out with extra walks or supervision when needed and accompanies me to drop in visits with new clients.
“So great! My boy didn’t even want to leave their place when I came to pick him up. Isabelle and Dean are very wonderful. They were very attentive to my doggos needs and they had great energy!”

“Our dog was happy to stay with Priya for four days. We receive daily updates with photos and videos, so we never felt disconnected from our puppy. Priya is professional: she organised a meet and greet before the stay to ensure that the dog is comfortable, answered all of our questions and showed a sincere interest in the habits and behaviour of our golden. While being away we knew that our dog was in great hands.”

“Jennifer and David were excellent sitters for our much-loved dog, Seymour. They shared daily updates of how he was doing with lots of photos, which we were thrilled to receive. He clearly was very well loved; lots of walks, cuddles, fetch, and even got to sleep on their son's bed. I would highly recommend Jennifer and David and we'll definitely use their service again in the future.”

“Jo-Ann and Lance took such great care of our pup Otis and sent us plenty of pictures and updates, which was greatly appreciated! Otis looked to be having the time of his life getting so much attention and belly rubs🥰 will definitely be booking again!😊”

“I’m so happy that Sara took care of my dog, Cotton! She kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me peace of mind knowing Cotton was doing great. I could tell he was well cared for and comfortable. I’ll definitely be booking with Sara again next time!”

“Karina took really good care of Simba. Simba is just a puppy and becomes anxious at times. Simba felt secured and he had fun.karina shared regular updates and also video. I am definitely going to book Karina again.”

Amit was so wonderful with Buddy She was flexible and let me drop him off early so I could make my travel plans. She sent me pictures and updates of Buddy each day so I could be reassured that he was doing ok (he was having a great time 😁). She treated him like her own dog 🥰 I would recommend Amit to anyone looking for a great dog sitter 🙌

Misook is s really good dog-sitter. She and her family were very attentive to my dog (which is a pretty active Jack Rassel). They followed all my tasks regarding dog-care, and even more. They walked with the dog 2 times, as well as long games with toys in their fenced garden. I am really glaf6 to find such as dog-sitter and would recommend her.

Piper came back from a week with Paige happy and calm. I enjoyed receiving daily updates and pictures and when there was a concern I appreciated that Paige asked for my recommendation and then followed up with the result of that action. I would definitely book Piper with Paige again!

We highly recommend Angela and her family to watch your dog. Right from the get go, Angela was very communicative with arranging the time and date for Aria to be dropped off and picked up. We also received regular updates during her stay, including messages and pictures about the different adventures they went on. Aria enjoyed the hikes and time she got to play with the family. We will definitely ask Angela to watch Aria again.

Olive had such a great experience with Barb! Olive was very well cared for, happy, and clearly comfortable during her stay. It gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. Communication was great, and I really appreciated the updates. You can tell she genuinely cares about dogs and their wellbeing. I would definitely trust her with Olive again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.

Stephanie is an amazing dog sitter! She’s kind, considerate, and joyful, and her family is just as wonderful—helpful, fun, and great with dogs. Her home is clean, welcoming, and close to trails, which was perfect for walks. She sent lots of updates with photos and videos, which gave me total peace of mind. My two Frenchies got great walks, tons of playtime, and zero stress. Her laid-back Frenchie, Chewy, got along perfectly with Callaway and Titleist — a total fur-friend win! I came home to happy pups and couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend! 🐶✨

Our dog Mabel loved staying with Amitis! Mabel is fairly high-energy and can be reactive on leash, so she's not the easiest dog to look after, but Amitis took that in her stride. We had the opportunity to meet Amitis a couple of times before the booking, which definitely helped Mabel settle in quickly. She sent us lots of updates, and we could tell our dog was relaxed and happy staying with her. We'll definitely use her again!

Within very short notice after previous sitter suddenly became not available, Tyler offered for taking care of our Ellie, which was really appreciated. However, since we've never met / talked him, and we didn't know him, although we liked to trust Rover's choice, we were still unsure how Ellie was doing with him and new environment. So that more frequent report with pictures/video could be nicer.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
