“Thank you so much, Andrea and Sergio! They have watched our dog, Mochi, overnight on multiple occasions. By the third time, when Sergio arrived to pick her up, Mochi was pulling the leash to run to him, tail wagging with excitement. They sent us regular updates throughout our trip showing Mochi and explaining how she was handling the changes and adapting to her new environment. They even went so far as to help train her to walk properly while leashed! This gave us great comfort and allowed us to enjoy our vacation since we knew Mochi was safe and loved.”

“Angela was the best pet sitter i could hope for for my senior dog. I felt so lucky that she was available and I knew my dog would be cared for really well. Super thankful for Angela and her kiddos.”

“Andrew was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. His professionalism up front really inspired trust, and once we made a solid connection at the meet and greet, I knew Luna was going to be in good hands. She absolutely was treated like gold. The communication was reliable and flexible. All the photos he shared showed a very happy dog! I would 100% choose to board Luna with Andrew and his lovely partner again any time.”

“It was our first time leaving our dog for 3 days, and we honestly couldn’t be more grateful to have left her with Connie. Her schedule was followed and she got so much attention, treats, and love, especially during playtime with her dogs, cats, and family! We felt very at ease the whole time we were away knowing she was in such good hands.”

“Zaid was fabulous with Simon! My big boy can have some separation anxiety, so finding somewhere he can stay and enjoy his time without me is so helpful. Zaid was super flexible on timing, shared lots of great feedback and photos, and was just an overall great experience. Speaking for Simon, I know he’ll be back to hang out with Zaid.”

“Rocko was in great hands with Madison over the month of July!! I was so worried he would be sad being away from us for so long but it seemed quite the opposite!! He definitely had a blast. Madison was so kind. 100% recommend if you’re looking for a sitter in Vancouver. She’s the first we’ll be reaching out to when we head out of town next!”

“Kayla was a pleasure to deal with and took great care of our kitty while we were away. She was patient with our nervous cat and quickly won here over. We got updates and pictures, which we really appreciated. I would recommend Kayla for cat boarding.”

“Tori went above and beyond with my cat Mango! She was beyond reassuring with any concerns and provided daily updates. She was attentive and I came back to a very relaxed cat who didn’t even want to leave! She also gave me some suggestions which I thought was so beyond her responsibilities and you can tell she really loves cats. Mango was also very fond of her cat and I really enjoyed getting pictures of them together.”

Mattéa took great care of our 1.5 years old toy poodle puppy. She kept us updated throughout the stay, sending photos and texting updates constantly. We did a meet and greet before the day, and our puppy flocked really comfortably in Mattéa’s Household. We will definitely recommend her services and use them again!

I booked Connie last minute for a surprise trip with my husband, and she was so accommodating with our flight schedules! We had actually already booked her for an upcoming two-week stay and wanted Katsu to get familiar with Connie, her husband Troy, and the surrounding area beforehand, so this last-minute stay ended up being the perfect little trial run. From our first meet & greet, Connie immediately gave us such peace of mind. It was clear that we were aligned on how we care for Katsu and our approach to dogs in general. She was also so welcoming and attentive to all the little details about Katsu, especially since he was recently diagnosed with IVDD. Although he has made a full recovery, we wanted to be extra cautious with things like how he’s picked up, avoiding stairs, no jumping, and generally being mindful of his movements. Connie was incredibly understanding and careful with all of it. She sent us regular updates and photos throughout the day, and honestly, we were able to enjoy our trip without constantly worrying about how Katsu was doing. That meant so much to us as dog parents! We’re so glad we found Connie and Troy! Katsu clearly felt comfortable and happy with them, which made us feel even more at ease. We’ll definitely continue booking with Connie for Katsu’s future staycations.

My Bernese has separation anxiety, so a new environment (especially one without me) can be a lot. Natasha was extremely calm and ready to help earn trust so my dog could ease into the change of scenery. I got regular updates which gave me so much peace of mind. Will be booking with Natasha regularly to keep making progress!

As always, Melissa does an amazing job taking care of our little doodle pup! She provides updates during the dog sitting time frame including cute photos and videos. Lucas always gets excited to go stay with her and she has a really good handle on what he needs. She follows all of our care instructions and ensures he gets lots of fresh air and walks! Thanks again Melissa for making our pup feel right at home!

Yoonjoo was so incredible. She was so sweet, kind and very adaptable to my dog. My dog has quite a lot of anxiety, especially with people and he felt really comfortable with her and she knew how to handle him. She gives regular updates with photos and videos, which gave us a lot of reassurance. I am super happy I used her services and will definitely be back.

Brittany and Daniel took such great care of our girl while we were away! They took her on so many adventures and gave her all the love and attention she needed! We were so happy with all the photos and videos they sent us as well! We’ll absolutely be sending our baby girl to theirs next time we’re away!💛

Nassim (and Pepper!) were excellent, kind, and amazing with our 13 year old pup. It was the first time we have ever left our dog with a sitter that wasn’t family, and Nassim was very reassuring and went the extra mile to make sure we and our dog were comfortable with the whole experience. Thank you again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
