“Angela was so attentive and thoughtful about caring for Ollie and we feel lucky to have found her and her family for future care. It’s always a bit nerve-wrecking to leave your dog with new people. Angela made the process feel seamlessly easy.”

“They helped me out at the last minute, I wrote to them and in 30 minutes they were ready to take my Rarity. Very pleasant to talk to. They sent photos and videos, talked about her condition and quickly responded to messages. My dog is very social, so it's very good that they have other dogs and she was not bored. I can't say anything bad, only positive emotions. Thank you”

“I was very happy to trust Anna with taking care of Ginny. She communicated well, was flexible and understood what made my dog feel safe and comfortable. We will be coming back!”

“Andrew was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. His professionalism up front really inspired trust, and once we made a solid connection at the meet and greet, I knew Luna was going to be in good hands. She absolutely was treated like gold. The communication was reliable and flexible. All the photos he shared showed a very happy dog! I would 100% choose to board Luna with Andrew and his lovely partner again any time.”

“Thanks so much to Joanne, Glen and their daughter for taking such great care of Saint! I felt at ease knowing my fur baby was in good hands. Lucky to have found them and would recommend to anyone.”

“As usual, Gabriel was awesome with regular updates with pictures and notes. They were very communicative and helpful. Teddy came back clean and happy.”

“Braden was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Furfur. Furfur was so relaxed and comfortable with Braden. Braden was also great at communication throughout, always responsive. Highly recommended!”

“Watson had a fantastic time with Maaya while we were away. She was able to look after him while he was recovering from an injury and sent us lots of photos, we would definetly rebook with her again and highly recommend her as a sitter!”

“As usual, Madison did an amazing job of taking care of Kimi. She was proactively responsive and understanding of my pet’s needs. She even administered Kimi’s medication without fail. Will recommend her any day!”

“So, so lucky to have found Heather! I was in a bit of a stuck spot and needed a dog sitter for the weekend while I was in class. My pup is a bit of an anxious boy and I was nervous about leaving him with new people but he settled in pretty quickly and loved being around the kids. Heather is an excellent communicator and I have cute pictures of my dog's weekend ? Will definitely rebook with Heather!”

“I have used Rover a few times BUT this experience has been the best so far. Pics and updates throughout the day with plenty of communication. Always responded in a timely manner.”

“Maple and Otter had a great time. Connie gave me lots of updates and it sounds like they were comfortable with her family from the very start. Her dog Alpha was a great playmate and welcomed them graciously. I will definitely book with Connie again.”

“Brenlee was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! She went wayyyyy above and beyond our expectations! She was looking after our pup while we were out of town and he ended up falling ill. He had to go out every couple of hours (including throughout the night). Brenlee took care of the situation and even took him to the vet, got him checked up, and gave him the required medication. We could not have asked for a better sitter and can not recommend her highly enough!!”

“Like others, also highly recommend Hector! He took care of Sophie well and we fully trusted him. It was nice to see the daily pics of walks and other updates. It was great that we did a meet n greet beforehand so he was already used to Sophie and also the drop off and pick up went smoothly. Will definitely reach out again!”

“This was the first time I’ve left my Havanese dog with a pet sitter. He is a bit of a challenge as he suffers from anxiety and has to have medication for a heart murmur. The first time I met Sheryl all my worry about leaving him was gone. Beemer took to her right away. Sheryl sent updates every day about how Beemer was doing which helped me completely relax and enjoy my holiday. It is so wonderful to know I can go away again and I won’t have to worry about finding someone to look after him. I highly recommend Sheryl if you want a kind and loving sitter for your dog.”

“Thank you for taking such great care of Mickey! I couldn’t imagine a better place for her while we were away. As an older dog, Mickey needs some extra attention, and Tracy went above and beyond to keep her happy. She sent photos and updates every day, and gave Mickey her caring, loving, proficient attention. For me this meant piece of mind. Couldn’t be more grateful - and thrilled with Tracy’s professionalism and kindness - 5 stars!”

“Zaid was absolutely wonderful taking care of my dog for a week. He made drop off and pick up a breeze for me. And I got lovely updates and photos the entire time I was away. He took wonderful care of her. Would 100% recommend Zaid, and would re-book with him again. Thanks so much!”

“Daniela was super sweet to my cat Rigby when I left for a week on vacation. She was very accommodating when I had some flight issues on my way back and didn't mind watching her longer than initially expected and sent the cutest photos of her while I was away. Rigby seemed very comfortable in her presence and I could tell she was looked after and safe. Highly recommend. Thanks Daniela!”

“This was our second time having Nicole sit one of our dogs and we all had a great experience just like the last time. Our pup is an anxious guy and his trust is hard to earn. From the photos and videos Nicole sent us, he was cuddling up and looked so comfortable with her! He also tends to go on a food strike whenever we leave him with a sitter but he ate all of his meals which was so relieving and a testament of how relaxed and at home he felt with Nicole! Us and our little guy say thank you for taking such great care of him :)”

“Milo had an amazing stay with Menghan! She sent me so much photos/videos during my trip of him making new friends, eating and playing. I cannot recommend Menghan enough, she’s the best dog sitter!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Vancouver
Brenlee was absolutely amazing! Right before our trip, our dog had a last-minute medical emergency and required medication twice a day. Brenlee didn't blink an eye! She immediately accommodated the new routine, and made sure our pup got her meds perfectly on schedule. Having that kind of peace of mind during a stressful time is priceless. We can't recommend her enough!

Katherine is super kind and was easy to communicate with in scheduling Taro for boarding. She sent updates with pictures and asked great questions, easy to tell she's a dog person. Definitely top of the list for day care or boarding in vancouver when I need it next.

This was our first time using Rover and we were pretty nervous at first. Sean made our first experience extremely great! He made sure to send us photos of Lucy throughout her stay and provided us with updates as well. Lucy enjoyed her stay with Sean and was a very happy girl when we came to pick her up!

Meghan is amazing! Our dog tore off his dew claw a week before we left for a trip, and was put on rest with strict rules to keep the bandage dry and clean. Despite my offering to pay a special rate, Menghan declined and was more than happy to follow the specific rules without anything additional. She offered to take him to the vet for a bandage change if it got wet, and helped send him off with a friend for a scheduled appointment. The vet was super happy with his progress so she obviously did a great job. She went above and beyond giving him breaks from his cone while being closely monitored. I felt awful leaving him while he was injured and needed maintenance but she did an amazing job erasing my worries. After the first day I felt like I didn’t need to check in and could properly disconnect. Thanks for everything you do Menghan!

This was my first time using Rover, and Kim made it such a fantastic experience. She was quick to respond, provided plenty of updates throughout Dash’s stay, and gave me complete peace of mind. She took Dash on lots of walks and was always happy to share photos of their adventures, which I really appreciated. As the owner of a larger dog, it was also clear that Kim has plenty of experience with big breeds and handled Dash with total confidence. It was great seeing him having such a good time. The biggest thing for me was seeing how comfortable Dash was. He’s usually a little nervous in new environments, but he seemed right at home from the moment I dropped him off. It was clear he was well cared for and treated like one of the family. I would highly recommend Kim to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!

We couldn’t be happier with the care Ursula gives to our dog. She is capable, kind and flexible . She took the time to help him settle in, kept us updated throughout his stay, and treated him like one of her own. Our dog came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for, which says everything about the wonderful environment she provides. It’s such a relief to know there’s someone we can trust when we’re away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
