“Erika is the sweetest angel.. She radiates kindness, compassion and warmth. She took the most excellent care of my sweet Penny Lane. Updating me with pictures and videos. I can't express how happy your pets will be with her”

“Aditya and Alpana are amazing sitters! They are so warm and friendly, they took very good care of my dog, and they keep sending updates during my trip. It's great to see my dog having a great time with them and bounding so quickly! She had so much fun and loved them at the end of her stay. I'll definitely recommend them, and will come back again.”

“Maple and Otter had a great time. Connie gave me lots of updates and it sounds like they were comfortable with her family from the very start. Her dog Alpha was a great playmate and welcomed them graciously. I will definitely book with Connie again.”

“Joscelyn was absolutely wonderful and we were so grateful that she was able to look after our dog Reggie. We had total peace of mind with Reggie in her care and were worried that Reggie wouldn't want to come back home with us after staying with her, haha. We highly recommend Joscelyn to anyone looking for a diligent and loving sitter for their dog. We look forward to using her again in the future. Thank you Joscelyn!”

“This is the second time that Max stayed at camp Dean and he came back in very high spirits having reconnected with his pack! Max is very excited when he arrives at camp Dean and probably a little sad to be leaving when I need to take him home :-) Highly recommend Dean… He has a great love for doggos”

“Paula and her family were wonderful and so attentive with my dog. She would frequently send photos and Luna looked so pampered and happy! I highly recommend them as pet sitters! It was a relief to travel knowing our pet was well loved.”

“Andrea and Sergio did a wonderful job looking after Snowy during our 10 day vacation. They were prompt in their replies, sent lots of photos and videos and treated our dog with so much love and care. We will definitely be booking them again for future travel. Highly recommend!”

“Highly recommend Jesse! He took such great care of our dog and treated her like his own. It gave us peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. She came back happy and well cared for. Thank you again for everything!”

“Brittaney and Tommy are a wonderful couple I had to babysit my baby Mocha. They kept her entertained and tired her out for me. They provided me with updates, eased my mind and were very accommodating to my drop off and pickup times. Mocha is an energetic pup who loves to play and never seems tired. Would have had them dogsit again for me for my upcoming trip, unfortunately they were already booked. I was too slow in making arrangements. I definitely trust them and would not hesitate to rebook.”

“Angela and her family were wonderful taking care of Manolo. He was clearly well looked after and comfortable during his stay. Communication was great, and we felt very confident leaving him with them. We would absolutely consider Angela and her family again for any future needs and highly recommend them. Thank you Angela, you guys are great! :)”

“Minh was an amazing sitter! He is super responsive and my Mini poodle Levi loved being with him. Minh always sent me updates and photos everyday that made me feel worry free while being on vacation. I would definitely book again with Minh in the future.”

“Megan was one of the nicest and most caring Sitter for our doggy Mario. Mario was so happy to be with Megan and had an amazing time. I highly recommend Megan and will definitely seek her out again in the future. Thanks for everything.”

“Such an amazing experience. My first meeting with Sunny was at the park and my Milo seemed very drawn to her. He was so comfortable in her home. I recd pics and notes daily over his 2 week stay in her home. I know he was sad to leave!! I would highly recommend Sunny for a stress free experience. Your pup will be in great hands in a beautiful home and very loved and cared for.”

“Karolinne and Eric are amazing! They asked good questions to know details about Bambi to make sure she feels comfortable with the stay. And they share updates/photos/videos frequently. I highly recommend them.”

“I just completed my second booking with Samira for my cat, Nono, and I honestly couldn't be happier. Finding someone you can trust with your pet is always a challenge, but Samira has officially become my go-to sitter. What I appreciate most is her consistency. Just like the first time, she was incredibly professional, followed all of Nono's specific feeding and play instructions perfectly, and kept me updated throughout the entire stay. She sends the best photo updates, which always makes me feel like I’m right there with him. It’s clear that Nono has grown comfortable with her, which gives me so much peace of mind while I’m away. He’s usually a bit particular, but he warmed up to her quickly, and seeing him relaxed in her care is the best endorsement I could ask for. If you are looking for someone who is responsible, communicative, and truly an animal lover, Samira is the one. I will definitely be booking her for a third time and beyond!”

“Dafne and her family are everything we could ask for and more in pet sitters. We didn't worry for one moment about Murphy while we were away knowing she was in excellent hands and having a great time.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Vancouver
This was my first experience leaving my dog, Sakona, with a dog sitter. Guy was excellent at making the process run smoothly. We had a brief meeting before the big day so that Sakona could get to know him. I thought drop off would be very hard for me and that Sakona would stare after me wondering why I was leaving without her, but nope. Sakona was happy to see Guy again and everything went smoothly. I received regular pictures and updates to know that Sakona was doing well and having an adventure of her own. I was able to go on my short trip with peace of mind. Guy is clearly knowledgeable about dogs and provides excellent care. I didn’t get a chance to meet Zol this time, but I will definitely connect with Guy and Zol for any future dog sitting needs.

Laura and Aaron were great with watching my english bulldog Franny! They were flexible for pickup and drop-off times, as I was later than anticipated getting home from my trip also. I was appreciative that they wanted to do a meet and greet as well beforehand and offered for me to see their apartment, which made me feel at ease with someone new watching Franny. My dog is also reactive to other dogs, but Laura and Aaron didn’t have any issues navigating that while walking her. I would recommend them for watching your pets 😊

We’ve used Andrea and Sergio twice for dog sitting in preparation for an upcoming vacation. Prior to our vacation, we just did a two-night trial stay, and we’re so glad we did. Our baby boy Prince, a teacup Maltipoo puppy, had an amazing time with them. Prince is quite shy and needs a little extra attention and care, and Andrea and Sergio were attentive and understanding of his needs. They kept us updated and provided some really helpful feedback about his stay. We’re very happy we chose Andrea and Sergio again.

Pippa stayed with Toorjo and his partner for two weeks while my husband and I were travelling. This was a repeat stay, and we were happy to leave her in their care again. We appreciated the regular updates and photos while we were away, which gave us peace of mind. Pippa seemed comfortable and well looked after, and we wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

Sofia and Vladislav were so sweet and took great care of Remi. They were so responsive to his needs, and I could tell they kept him busy because he came home so happy and tired. He slept the whole next day away. They were so flexible and professional. I'd recommend them to anyone!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
