My husband, Kyle, has been raising dogs his whole life, and together, we’ve shared some wonderful years with our dogs. We raised our Border Collie, Buddy, from a playful puppy to the age of 15. When Buddy passed, we were fortunate enough to adopt Ruby, a 3-year-old Labradoodle Wire-Haired Pointer, who has brought so much joy into our lives. With both Buddy and Ruby being high-energy dogs, their active nature perfectly matches our lifestyle. We’re always on the go with Ruby - whether we’re at Ambleside dog park, swimming in the river or ocean, hiking through local trails. Every day is an opportunity to explore, bond, and spoil Ruby. We live in a dog’s dream setup: quiet neighbourhood, a spacious home with a large, fully fenced backyard that backs onto a park. We have easy access to local trails and off-leash areas. We love sending photo and video updates throughout the day - so you’ll always know your pup is safe, happy, and having the best time! Alexandra and Kyle took such great care of our baby Uno! Always sending us updates and making sure he had a good balance of play and quiet time. Uno will definitely be returning! ☺️
I wish I could leave 10/5 stars! Alexandra and Kyle were incredibly responsive, sent multiple photos and videos every day and took care of Winnie as well as they take care of their own pup, Ruby. Winnie had the best stay and was sad to leave her friends. By far, the most stress-free and best stay Winnie has had!
Daisy has the time of her life everytime she stays with Alexandra and Kyle! She gets so excited when we pull up to their house.
My pup had a wonderful weekend with Ally, Kyle, and Ruby! He got lots of attention, adventures, and love. They were attentive to my dog’s individual needs. The photos and videos they took are incredible!
Cash settles in like he is at home as soon as he gets to Alexandra and Kyle's. He comes home tired after a day of playing and socializing. Really appreciate the updates during the day; the video was awesome.

Schedule
Both my husband and I are currently working full-time at a rock climbing gym office. We are very fortunate that we are able to bring our dog Ruby to work with us every single day. She spends all day, every day with us. She has a bed at work, her toys and there is even a nice trail out back to go for walks. She gets lots of attention from us and passersby!

Safety, trust & environment
Ensuring our place is safe for dogs is the most important thing to us. My partner and I are very aware and always err on the side of caution. We always monitor Ruby when she is playing with her toys. Moreover, we keep our place clean and tidy to ensure there are no hazards (small objects, plants that are dangerous for dogs, etc.). Kyle's cousin is a veterinarian and we are very fortunate to have her number in case of any emergency.

A typical day
Kyle and I both work full-time at a local rock climbing gym, and we’re incredibly fortunate that our work allows us to bring Ruby along every single day. She’s with us all day, every day - whether it’s in the office, on a walk, or just lounging around. She has her own cozy bed, a collection of toys, and even a beautiful trail out back for walks and outdoor adventures. Ruby gets tons of attention from us and from the friendly passersby who stop by to say hi! At home, we have a spacious, fenced backyard where the dogs can run and play freely. The area is surrounded by local trails and parks, offering plenty of opportunities for both on-leash walks and off-leash fun. We love staying active and enjoy trail running and mountain biking—perfect for burning off some of Ruby's energy while having a blast together. Ambleside dog park is our go-to spot for Ruby, and we’re there often, letting her socialize and enjoy some time with other dogs. With us being around all day, every day, your pup will get plenty of love, attention, and excitement. Rest assured, they’ll be well cared for and spoiled in every way! We also have a basket full of dog toys at home that we love bringing out - we have a fun brain game that we always playing with Ruby. Rest assured, your pup will be spoiled with us!
