About: Over the passed 16 years, I (Tyra) dedicated myself to providing unwavering care and love for my beloved dog toby. As a responsible and attentive pet owner, I ensured his well-being through regular veterinary check-ups, proper nutrition, exercise, and a nurturing environment. Whenever he faced health challenges in his senior years, I diligently administered prescribed medications to him and always making sure he had whatever he needed to feel the most comfortable. Over time, I gained invaluable experience in giving him medication, mastering techniques to make the process as comfortable and stress-free as possible for my spoiled son. Since his passing life has been very hard and mundane for my boyfriend (Jack) and I. We noticed how empty and unfulfilled our lives are without a furry companion around. We love animals and want to help with dog or cat sitting until we are ready to get a dog again. We love the outdoors, hiking, exploring new places and being active. Jack and i both have very flexible and open schedules. We both love being active, going on hikes and exploring new places in the neighborhood. I dont work Saturday Sunday Mondays. I work Tuesday to Friday with my work being so close I am able to go home on lunch breaks since I'm a 6 min drive away and get an hour lunch to come home and be there for walks or feeding. They will not be alone for more than 4 hours. I live in an apartment. I'm usually very attentive and can always tell what dogs usually want or need. I usually like going for walks to tire them out so they are calm and tired when they come home

About: I've had animals for my entire life and was brought up with dogs of many sizes and breeds. It brings me great joy to look after animals of any kind, even the ones considered creepy and crawly. My approach is a thoughtful and caring one that aims to observe a dog/cats boundaries and work with them respectfully. I have looked after dogs and cats of all ages and sizes and know how to build a relationship with animals through care, observation, and consistency. I am currently a biology student whose goal is to pursue animal research and nature conservation. This means I will take an extremely thorough approach to caring for your animals and do any necessary research in order to better look after them. It's my passion in this field that helps me understand and work with animals. I am an extremely enthusiastic sitter and take great delight in getting to know animals and spend time with them. Whether cat, dog, or otherwise, I am looking forward to meeting them and giving them the best care possible. My weekly schedule revolves around college, I have 3 classes a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are usually long gaps between classes where I can check in on an animal or walk/feed them and I do not need to be at school all day. From Friday-Monday I have no scheduled commitments and can commit fully to looking after a higher maintenance pet. If you invite me into your home, I will be completely respectful of you animals routine and will do what it takes to keep that up for them. Whether it be walking, cuddles, playtime, baths, or anything else, as long as I have the information then I can do it. I prefer to have a document on hand of your pets needs, either digital or physical, so that I can provide the best care possible. With new animals my first objective is always to pay attention to their needs and communication styles so I can give them whatever they require. Establishing trust always comes first for me, with you and your animal. If you have any questions, needs, or concerns about care, please don't hesitate to bring them up with me. Daily updates through text can also be provided if that is something you would like while away.

About: Both my parents grew up with with dogs in Korea, and I had my dog for 14 years in Canada. We've always had a dog in our lives, from newborn to senior. I am working part-time and working from home, and my dad is working at home full-time. There will always be at least one person in the house at all times, 24/7. Safety is our top priority. Because my dad works from home, your pet will have constant supervision and will rarely be left alone. We live in a very safe neighborhood within walking distance of a local veterinary clinic. About: What sets us apart is that this is truly a family effort grounded in lifelong experience with animals. I’ve owned cats and dogs all my life and currently share our home with a gentle Bernese Mountain Dog who is nearly six, as well as our senior cat who is almost sixteen. That means I’m very comfortable caring for both energetic dogs and older pets who need a slower, more thoughtful approach. My daughter London loves animals and wanted to start this together, so she joins me on walks. It’s something we take seriously, and I’m always present to ensure safety, consistency, and reliability. Clients can expect clear communication, punctuality, and updates with photos after each visit. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your furry family members. Whether your dog needs an active walk, gentle companionship, feeding, or a drop-in check, I aim to provide the same level of care, patience, and attention that I give my own pets. Pet care fits naturally into our weekly routine. I work a hybrid schedule and my wife works from home, which gives us strong flexibility during both weekdays and weekends. This allows me to reliably accommodate morning, midday, and evening visits depending on your pet’s needs. My daughter London will often join me for walks and visits before and after school. She loves animals and enjoys being involved, and I’m always present to ensure safe, consistent care. Because of our flexible schedules, we’re able to offer dependable timing, quick communication, and consistency — whether you need regular weekly walks or occasional drop-in visits. I tailor my care to each pet’s needs and the specific service requested. In your home, I can provide walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, and reinforcement of any routines or basic training you’re working on. I understand how important consistency is, so I aim to keep your pet comfortable by following their normal schedule. I’m also happy to help with transportation if needed, such as bringing your pet to the dog park, a grooming appointment, or a treatment visit, with your permission. While most of my services focus on care in your home, we also have a fully fenced yard if outdoor time is part of the plan. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, engaged, and well cared for whether we’re out for a walk, playing, or simply keeping them company.

I focus on creating a safe, positive environment and will always follow your instructions closely so your pet’s routine stays consistent. I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for animals, having grown up on a farm with multiple dogs, cats, and other animals. I’m available throughout the week and can provide flexible scheduling based on your pet’s routine. I make sure all pets are cared for on time, including feeding, walks (for dogs), playtime, and companionship. I understand that both cats and dogs can be curious in different ways, so I make sure they are supervised and kept in safe areas when needed. I’m also comfortable following any specific instructions, including keeping pets separated, managing introductions, or restricting access to certain rooms. You can trust that I will respect your home, follow your guidelines closely, and ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.

About: Hi there, my name is Kat :) I’ve been caring for animals since I was a young teen, not just dogs and cats, but horses and various farm animals as well! Through these diverse experiences I have developed a deep understanding of different breeds and their individual needs as well as passion for rescues! I’m also passionate about the care, attention, love, physical exercise, and mental stimulation that animals need to thrive. And have experience with puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, supporting with medical needs, and dogs with specialized training. I care deeply about the importance of providing consistent and gentle training for animals and am happy to follow your training preferences as requested! I grew up with 2 rescues, a beagle and a husky mix and was heavily involved in their training. I was also involved recently in the training of a puppy to be a therapy dog and have previously been certified as a handler for a service dog. I have been doing pet sitting and dog walking for friends and family for over a decade now and look forward to expanding out to meeting and caring for your furry best friends as well! 😊 I’m currently a part time student and otherwise am doing some low commitment volunteer work so I have lots of free time during my week to play with, walk, and visit your pups! I am very calm and patient with animals as they learn, and am happy to take the time to reinforce the good behaviours. I value consistency in training, care routines and play. I am quick to ask owners questions for any clarifications needed so I know I’m always actively supporting the animals success and individual needs.

About: I used to have two boston terriers for 15+ years. When they passed away from old age it was really hard for me. They were healthy and just all around perfect dogs for me. I can’t describe with words how much I miss them. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be emotionally ready to own and lose my own dogs again. Right now I’m content with occasionally taking care of your dogs. Your dog/dogs can expect to be spoiled rotten with lots of affection, attentive care & mental stimulation. Any special needs can be catered to if informed ahead of time. All dogs must be house trained(except for puppies) and non aggressive towards other dogs and humans. Please bring all food, bed, toys etc to ensure your dog is not overwhelmed with too much change. I work from home full time typically from Monday to Friday 9-5. I have flexible schedule to take the dogs out for walks. It’s always nice to take a break from work. My place is usually very tidy and air conditioned. I make sure there aren’t any objects they can chew or swallow. Your dog will get one on one attention in a kid and other animal free environment.

About: My partner and I have spent the past three years training and raising our mini poodle, Leo. He has grown into a well-socialized, friendly dog who loves meeting and spending time with other dogs. During this period, we took a break from Rover, but we are excited to return and welcome new pups into our home. He’ll be just as excited to welcome your dog into our home as we will be. Prior to Leo, we each had over 10 years of experience caring for friends’ and coworkers’ dogs. We’re attentive, patient, and comfortable reading canine body language, including signs of stress, discomfort, or aggression. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always our top priorities. Your pet will become part of our family while in our care. We integrate dogs into our daily routine so they feel safe, included, and loved. We work Monday to Friday from 9 to 5. From Monday to Thursday, we work from home, providing supervision, companionship, and regular breaks. On Fridays, I go into a pet-friendly office, and your dog is welcome to join me in a safe environment with space to play. We take Leo on three walks each day, and your dog would follow the same routine. Mornings include an hour-long walk with a visit to the dog park to run and burn energy, followed by breakfast, fresh water, and playtime with favourite toys. We respect each dog’s individual needs and adjust walks or activities for less active dogs or those with mobility considerations. With two of us, one can stay home while the other goes on a longer walk. On weekends, we enjoy trail walks or riverside strolls for enrichment and fresh air. Weather permitting, we spend as much time outdoors as possible. On rainy days, we focus on indoor engagement, enrichment toys, and mental stimulation to keep dogs happy and active. Our routine ensures structure, attention, and consistency so dogs in our care always feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for. Your pet will naturally become part of our family while they are with us. We integrate the dogs in our care into our daily life so they feel safe, included, and genuinely at home. We follow a structured routine that includes three walks per day, consistent feeding times, fresh water, and interactive play. After morning exercise, dogs are fed breakfast and given time to relax with their favourite toys. We are attentive to canine body language and monitor closely for any signs of stress or discomfort to ensure a positive environment. We always respect each dog’s individual needs. If your dog is less active or has mobility limitations, we adjust their walks and activity level accordingly. Since there are two of us, one can take Leo on a longer outing while the other provides your dog with a calmer pace and one on one attention. When caring for pets in a client’s home, we closely follow the owner’s established routines to maintain consistency and reduce stress.

About: I run a dog-walking/care business in Port Moody, The Pupper Club. I generally offer subscription based, custom care, however I am also eager to build relationships for occasional care. I have volunteered in dog rescue for over a decade, and have dogs of my own that mean the world to me. I am reliable, communicative and borderline obsessed with making sure the pups around me are living their best lives. I am also respectful of guidelines you may have for your dog and will make sure I keep them in line! I run a professional and organized dog care business. This is my whole life! I am a master-scheduling, but never rush. Every dog deserves time and calmness. I live in a condo and do have two (friendly) dogs. For any boarding or petsitting, your pup must be friendly with other dogs. I live with a vet tech (such a bonus!). I use a Tractive collar with my clients, and have first-aid trained. I value comfort and safety for your dog, and comfort for you as their adoring parent.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
