“Samira was very diligent looking after our two dogs while we were away. She came by everyday at around noon and made sure they went out for their piddle break and seemed very caring. I'm loving with them. I highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life, and most recently had several senior, special needs cats with multiple health issues. I’m comfortable administering meds and sub- fluids. I currently work from home and am flexible to stay in a client’s home either days, evenings or both to provide companionship and care as needed. I do not provide care in my home as we have pets. I am happy to provide either drop in visits, day-long or overnight depending on your pet’s needs.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, along with time spent as a former SPCA volunteer. Through my volunteer work, I assisted with daily care, feeding, cleaning, enrichment, and helping animals feel safe and comfortable in a shelter environment. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience caring for reptiles and fish, including maintaining proper habitats, feeding schedules, and monitoring health and behavior. I’m attentive to routines, patient with different personalities, and comfortable following detailed care instructions to ensure every pet receives the care they’re used to. I treat every pet like my own and prioritize safety, consistency, and clear communication. I’m always happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can have total peace of mind while you’re away. Pet care is a regular part of my daily routine, so I’m able to give pets the time and attention they deserve. I structure my day around feedings, walks, playtime, and drop-ins, making sure each pet’s normal routine is maintained. I’m flexible with scheduling and always communicate clearly so owners know their pets are being well cared for. - Safety, routine, and gentle handling are top priorities - Calm, clean, and secure environment - Former SPCA volunteer with shelter-care experience - Respectful of pets’ boundaries and owners’ homes - Regular updates and clear communication

About: I have 5–6 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, including senior dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I recently helped care for my husband’s family dog, Cooper, as he entered his senior years; adjusting to slower walks, joint issues, and a more relaxed routine. That experience taught me how important it is to meet each dog exactly where they’re at. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding, basic grooming, playtime, and reinforcing simple training and good leash manners. I’m especially mindful of dogs who may be anxious, aging, or need a calmer approach. I work in the restaurant industry, which gives me a flexible schedule. Most days I don’t start until 4–5pm, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pet during the day! Safety and trust are my top priorities. I pay close attention to behavior, environment, and routine to make sure your pet feels comfortable and secure while in my care.
About: Based in North Van, I have had pets most of life, from energetic Labs & Rottis, to demanding Pomeranians, and even more demanding cats. I look forward to spending time with your family of pets. I do not have a car. I can take transit to meet your pets, but cannot transport them anywhere. Mornings, evenings & weekends are all ideal times to meet with you & your pets, and get to both their needs and yours as well. I am unable to care for pets in my location because I am currently in a no-pet apartment, but can look after them in your home, which will be less stressful on them.
About: We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids that love being around animals. We have a young dog of our own, a 2 year old Labradoodle and will be boarding one or 2 dogs at a time depending on temperament. A must before proceeding with booking - we would like to do meet and greet every time before stay. In the past, we were parents to a Labrador Retriever for 12 years. We grew up with pets and farm animals around us and did dog walking for about a year, also volunteered for the BC SPCA in the past. Julia is working part time and Fred is self-employed so we are pretty flexible. We have a yard (unfenced) and live close to trails and parks to give your pet plenty of exercise. We are also familiar with senior animal care for pets that are slowing down. We are happy to board your pet in our home when you cannot bring them with you or take them out on daily walks. We live close to parks and trails. We spend a lot of time outdoors and are happy to play, run with your pets or take them for a swim to the beach. We go for 2-3 walks a day, either in the neighborhood, trails or dog park and give dogs plenty of pee breaks. Julia is working part-time and Fred has flexible schedule so pups are rarely alone. If your dog is okay to be left for 2-3 hours, we are happy to have them. We do a lot of pee breaks, familiar with canine body language as we worked with a trainer for our own dog in the past.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was a child. Got an English bulldog puppy in uni, trained him myself! I already help with walks and feeding a neighbour’s golden retriever and other friends pets when the need arises. I’m currently working from home ft for myself. Very flexible schedule, I have sports commitments a few evenings a week, but would only be away for a few hours. I am comfortable spending time with active or dogs that need more attention during the day. With long or short walks, and making sure they feel safe and loved.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - North Vancouver
This was our first time using a drop-in visitor for our dog. We were a bit nervous about leaving keys with a sitter, but we went ahead with it based on Lyndsey's amazing reviews -- they were not wrong! She was super communicative, great to work with, and Koda seemed to love her visits. We would definitely recommend her, and she'll be our first call for when we need visits in the future.

On our initial meeting Stephanie was calm, personable, warm and professional. She immediately hit it off with Sunny, and he felt comfortable to go out walking with her right away. I definitely would schedule Stephanie again to walk and take care of my guy Sunny. 🐾❤️

Celic was so great!! She is so caring and responsive. I had 2 days I had to be away and couldn't check on Dolly. Celic sent pictures and let me know how she was doing. Gave her a walk and told me what a sweetheart Dolly is. I felt her to be responsible and lovely. I will definitely ask Celic to care for Dolly again. Thank you so much!

We are so grateful for Susan dropping in to relieve our puppy of a bathroom break, walk, and to provide some attention! Great communication, her presence is calming and approachable. Our little doxie can be nervous but already she has made a good friend in Susan :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
