Eryn was amazing!! It was my first time leaving my baby for so long on his own and I was super anxious. He is a pretty needy cat but also very territorial so my best option was to do drop in visits. Eryn was consistent, communicative and so beyond attentive to my cat. She gave me daily updates with pictures which I appreciated so much. I will 1000% contact Eryn again in the future. Thanks so much!!

About: Hi! I’m a 26 year old university student studying a Masters in Occupational Therapy at the University of British Columbia. I have loved animals my entire life having had 4 cats, two dogs and a hamster. I truly believe pets make life complete and are cherished family members/friends. I am an extremely active and health conscious person with a love for the outdoors and natural world. Putting together my two passions: animals and being active, has inspired me to pursue pet walking and sitting! I have regularly watched and walked friend’s animals so I have experience watching other people’s pets. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to chat :) I am currently finishing school at UBC, where most days I am completing online school. Depending on where you are located I will have to account for commute time. I would love to build trust with you and your pet by having a couple meetings prior to watching or walking them on my own. I love to play with animals and discover their unique interests play-wise whether this is indoors or outdoors. Regardless I think it’s important to meet you and your animal so we can chat about their unique personality and needs.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was a child. Got an English bulldog puppy in uni, trained him myself! I already help with walks and feeding a neighbour’s golden retriever and other friends pets when the need arises. I’m currently working from home ft for myself. Very flexible schedule, I have sports commitments a few evenings a week, but would only be away for a few hours. I am comfortable spending time with active or dogs that need more attention during the day. With long or short walks, and making sure they feel safe and loved.

About: I have 5–6 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, including senior dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. I recently helped care for my husband’s family dog, Cooper, as he entered his senior years; adjusting to slower walks, joint issues, and a more relaxed routine. That experience taught me how important it is to meet each dog exactly where they’re at. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding, basic grooming, playtime, and reinforcing simple training and good leash manners. I’m especially mindful of dogs who may be anxious, aging, or need a calmer approach. I work in the restaurant industry, which gives me a flexible schedule. Most days I don’t start until 4–5pm, so I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pet during the day! Safety and trust are my top priorities. I pay close attention to behavior, environment, and routine to make sure your pet feels comfortable and secure while in my care.

About: I’ve grown up with and taken care of cats and dogs since I was 5. I have had my own dog for the past 6 years and have helped many friends with pet sitting and pet care. I work from home so have a decent amount of flexibility and free time to walk, or take care of a dog. I take my own dog out for walks and adventures 3+ times a day as our regular schedule. I live in a condo, but we have a large fenced yard as part of our building. I have my own dog who can keep yours company and will want to play as well. We spend a lot of time out in the woods or by the water adventuring and playing

About: I recently lost my beautiful 16 year old pup who I was the sole caretaker for. I am missing having a dog in my life so thought rover would be a good fit! My pup was reactive so I’m very comfortable walking reactive dogs (i know the best routes to avoid other pups and have mastered the quick turn around and attention diversion)! I’ve also cared for small dogs, bully breeds, etc and would love to help you care for your pup. I’m also comfortable with medication administration and any other care taking needs you may have! I look forward to hearing from you and am happy to answer any questions! I’m in medical school and am on a break applying for residency so would love a distraction :) My schedule is flexible at the moment with lots of week day availability. I’m familiar with rover as a previous pet owner and know how important it is to trust the person coming into your home! I will care for you pup like my own and treat your home with respect.

About: We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids that love being around animals. We have a young dog of our own, a 2 year old Labradoodle and will be boarding one or 2 dogs at a time depending on temperament. A must before proceeding with booking - we would like to do meet and greet every time before stay. In the past, we were parents to a Labrador Retriever for 12 years. We grew up with pets and farm animals around us and did dog walking for about a year, also volunteered for the BC SPCA in the past. Julia is working part time and Fred is self-employed so we are pretty flexible. We have a yard (unfenced) and live close to trails and parks to give your pet plenty of exercise. We are also familiar with senior animal care for pets that are slowing down. We are happy to board your pet in our home when you cannot bring them with you or take them out on daily walks. We live close to parks and trails. We spend a lot of time outdoors and are happy to play, run with your pets or take them for a swim to the beach. We go for 2-3 walks a day, either in the neighborhood, trails or dog park and give dogs plenty of pee breaks. Julia is working part-time and Fred has flexible schedule so pups are rarely alone. If your dog is okay to be left for 2-3 hours, we are happy to have them. We do a lot of pee breaks, familiar with canine body language as we worked with a trainer for our own dog in the past.

About: You can tell you really care about your dog—it shows in the way you handle him so naturally, even at 100 pounds. You’ve got that balance of keeping him in check while still letting him enjoy himself, and that’s not easy. He looks comfortable, happy, and totally at ease by your side, which says a lot about the bond you’ve built. It feels less like you’re just walking a dog and more like you’re out there together, just enjoying the moment. I currently work from 7am-3pm from home so I am flexible! It works great in the afternoon and evenings. I am available 99% of the time! I take my dog out at least four times a day and we do long walks of at least 2km. I can do group walks or separate walks!

About: I’ve had pets my entire life, and most recently had several senior, special needs cats with multiple health issues. I’m comfortable administering meds and sub- fluids. I currently work from home and am flexible to stay in a client’s home either days, evenings or both to provide companionship and care as needed. I do not provide care in my home as we have pets. About: I have a lot of experience caring for animals, my own, friends/family, and through Rover; adding to over 15 years. I would consider myself both a dog and cat person. I currently have one cat, although would love more pets if I had the space! I grew up with a dog and two cats in my family, and since then I’ve had experience both owning my own dog as well as looking after a lot of my friend’s and families pets. I raised my own German Shepard from a puppy, working through many different things with him like basic obedience, separation anxiety, agility, and reactivity. I have also fostered dogs with have special needs ie. recovering from surgeries, behavioral issues, etc, and puppies! I am available for casual walks and drop ins. Depending on the day and location, I can come multiple times a day. My schedule is somewhat inconsistent so regular dog walks are difficult to book but please feel free to reach out and see! I live a very active lifestyle, so dog walking fits right in with my normal life. I also love to take dogs hiking and running.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and now share my life with Molly, our 4-year-old Golden Retriever. She’s calm and relaxed at home, but playful and full of energy on hikes. Molly is friendly and always happy to have dog buddies around. I’m a confident, calm, and compassionate caregiver who truly enjoys spending time with animals. I’m mostly available on evenings and weekends, but depending on the schedule and location, I’m happy to try to accommodate. Your dog will be treated like family here. My kids are gentle and experienced with dogs, and we live close to many great parks for walks, playtime, and ball-chasing fun. We’re also experienced with senior pet care and are happy to accommodate dogs who need a slower pace. Please note: Since we live in a condo, we need to ensure dogs don’t struggle with excessive barking or separation anxiety, out of respect for our neighbors. We require all dogs to be fully house-trained and to do their business outside—pee pads are not permitted. Looking forward to meeting you and your pup—Molly can’t wait to make a new friend! 🐾 We are happy to host longer stays, but during weekdays, dogs must be able to stay home alone for up to 6 hours (typically 9am–3pm). We live in a cozy 2-bedroom condo with a secure fenced balcony (2nd floor), where dogs are welcome throughout the home. We go for 2–3 walks a day—around the neighborhood, on trails, or at the dog park—and always make sure dogs have regular pee breaks.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
