👋 I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, temperaments, and needs. If you’re in the Hastings-Sunrise area, you may have seen me out and about with my lil’ rescue pup from Korea, Billie. Through caring for my own dogs, pet sitting for friends and family, fostering and volunteering with rescues and shelters both locally and overseas, I’ve met many different personalities and gained valuable experience with dogs that require extra patience and understanding, including fearful, anxious, and reactive dogs. I have a strong interest in animal behaviour, body language, and positive reinforcement (R+)/fear-free care. I believe in meeting each dog where they’re at and helping them feel safe and understood. I’m attentive, detail-oriented, and happy to follow as many instructions as you’d like because I know how important peace of mind is when someone else is caring for your pet. I really love getting to know each dog’s unique personality and quirks, and I tend to go above and beyond to make sure they’re comfortable, enriched, and well cared for. I've completed the Walks 'N' Wags pet first aid course and am comfortable caring for senior dogs, puppies, and pets with medical needs. Safety, trust & environment
-WALK INFO- I offer private walks (up to 2 dogs from same household) and tailor each walk to your dog's needs. I don't do group walks at this time, as I prefer giving each dog individualized attention. I may occasionally walk your dog with my own dog, but only if appropriate for their temperament and comfort level, and with your permission. If your dog is working on fear or dog reactivity, I'm happy to follow your existing positive-reinforcement approach. While I'm not a trainer, I have personal experience with both reactive and fearful dogs, including my own rescue dog, Billie, who was extremely fearful of people when I first adopted her. I have a particular interest in dog behaviour and helping shy and fearful rescue dogs build confidence and feel safe in the world. I'm comfortable with management, redirection, and counter-conditioning as part of an existing plan. Please reach out before booking so we can chat about your dog's needs and make sure we're a good fit ❤️. I do not walk dogs using prong collars or e-collars, and prefer flat leashes and harnesses for walks. Depending on the situation, I may also use my own leashes to help ensure comfort and safety, but this will always be done with permission.

Mijung was absolutely phenomenal and took great care of our cat while we were out camping. She was super communicative and followed instructions perfectly, and the cat loved her. We hope to have her watch her again in the future.
Mijung’s care for my corgi was superb as usual. It’s such a relief to be able to leave him in her care and feel totally confident he’s in good hands. And I can tell Jimmy had a great day with lots of exercise, enrichment, treats, and cuddles.
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience with MiJung. From the very beginning, she completely exceeded our expectations, and we felt incredibly comfortable knowing that our little guys, Quatro and Napoleon, were in such caring and capable hands. MiJung is an excellent communicator, very attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. She kept us updated throughout the entire time, sent us plenty of photos, told us about their walks and routes, played with them, and always made sure we knew how they were doing. Being away from them is never easy, so having that level of communication and seeing them happy and well cared for gave us so much peace of mind. What impressed us the most was how proactive she was. She didn’t simply follow instructions; she paid attention to what Quattro and Napoleon needed and was always thinking one step ahead. She even offered things she already had available, such as harnesses, and consistently went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable, safe, and happy. You can really tell when someone genuinely enjoys spending time with animals, and that was absolutely the case with MiJung. We came back to two very happy little guys, and that says everything. We are extremely grateful for the care, attention, communication, and love she gave Cuatro and Napoleon. We would recommend MiJung without hesitation, and she will definitely be the first person we reach out to the next time we need someone to take care of them. Mijung provided exceptional care for our cat/son Soup while we were away for the weekend. She sent us frequent updates and lots of photos with each visit; it was evident he got tons of love and attention. Soup has some strong boundaries around being pet and is easily overstimulated, which always makes us a bit nervous when he’s with a sitter, but Mijung navigated this with no issues whatsoever. He usually takes a bit of time to show new people his affectionate side but by day 2 was already snuggled up with Mijung on the couch - a testament to her attentiveness and respect for his boundaries! She will absolutely be our go-to cat sitter going forward.

Schedule
-AVAILABILITY- I'm currently offering drop-ins and walks focused in the Grandview-Woodland and Hastings-Sunrise areas, but can travel to neighbouring areas as well. I work from home and am generally able to confirm availability about a week in advance, though my schedule can occasionally shift due to caregiving responsibilities for medical appointments. This is also why I am not currently offering daycare or boarding, but may be open to exceptions for existing clients.
