About: Hi! I’m an experienced, reliable pet caregiver based in Squamish who genuinely loves spending time with animals. I provide dog daycare and boarding in a safe, caring environment where your pet will receive plenty of attention, exercise and companionship. I’ve cared for dogs with a wide range of personalities and needs, from energetic pups who love outdoor adventures to senior dogs who benefit from a slower pace, medication routines or a little extra reassurance. Because I work flexibly, I’m able to spend much of the day with the dogs in my care rather than leaving them alone. I work flexibly as a freelance consultant, which means I can usually structure my day around the pets I’m caring for rather than the other way around. I’m usually home during the day for company, walks, feeding routines and playtime, and I’m happy to stick closely to your pet’s normal schedule. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have frequently cared for other people’s dogs as well, ranging from very large breeds to small ones. I’m comfortable with all types of personalities, from energetic and playful to shy or more anxious dogs. I can go for a long walk, hike or run with your pet or when I come home or just rest and cuddle depending on their needs. I am also happy to take them for a nice walk in the morning before I leave. When caring for pets I always adapt to their unique needs. I’m happy to provide plenty of exercise and stimulation for active dogs or create a calm, quiet atmosphere for those who need it. I will follow your instructions carefully to maintain your pet’s usual schedule, including feeding, exercise, and any special care needs. Eric and Michaela were absolutely fantastic with Koa! He got plenty of exercise and attention, and we loved receiving daily updates and pictures while we were away. We especially appreciated that they have a dog of their own, so Koa always had a friend to play with, and that the whole family was involved in his care. They were also happy to use the specific training tools and routines that Koa is used to, which gave us so much peace of mind. We felt completely at ease knowing Koa was in such good hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Eric and Michaela! 😊🐾
I am so lucky I found Alexis (and her sweet dog Ranger!). Hatley was so well cared for and came home clearly having been comfortable and loved. I would recommend Alexis to anyone needing their lil pups looked after. She is the best, and all the pictures she sent put my mind at ease.
Amanda and Drew took wonderful care of my Aussie Shepherd, Autumn, while I had four back-to-back days of photography work in Squamish. Autumn, like many herding breeds, can be a little anxious especially with changes in routine, but from the photos and texts I was getting, she looked happy and relaxed the whole time and it was such a comfort to know she was being so well looked after. We’ll definitely be booking with Amanda and Drew again when we come back to Squamish next year!
Stephen and Emily were wonderful, they provided updates, made drop off and pick up easy and communicated very well. They were so great with Beau, taking him along on dog park adventures and their dog Finn is so well behaved, a great friend for any dog that gets along with others. I would highly recommend!
Ollie loved spending the weekend with Linley! Linley sent updates and pictures out on walks and hanging in the big fenced in yard. She was also super accommodating of our shifting drop off and pick up times- super easy going and a wonderful dog sitter! We’d def use Linley’s services again!
Vanessa was a bit of a life saver for us last minute. Our dog is slightly reactive and needs a calm environment with long walks and one on one time which is exactly what he got. We received thoughtful updates, and when he came back to us he was very calm. Would 100% recommend Vanessa to take good care of your pet!
Tessy was lovely, calm and very welcoming to our senior dog. She was mindful of the right amount of exercise, temperature and pain-reducing practices such as too many stairs. Molly came home happy and sleepy from her active, happy time at Tessy’s home. Do not hesitate to book Tessy if you have the chance. I felt very safe leaving Molly with her.
Huge, thank you to Candace for being so easy-going and supportive of Benny’s first time ever being baby sat outside of his house. She took him on adventures and her dog was very easy-going about that Benny is not so friendly sometimes with other dogs. Penny loved getting to sleep on her lap while she worked!
Sharla took such good care of Stella! She was in constant communication with us, asked questions to clarify, and sent us images of Stella’s experience. Stella loved sharing time with Sharla and her family - including her pooch Molly. This was Stella’s first sleepover and Sharla did everything to make her feel safe & comfortable. Stella can’t wait to stay with Sharla again. Highly recommend.
