I have my own fuzzy pal, a cat called Oz and have to leave him in the care of others from time to time, so I know exactly how it feels to leave that member of your family in someone else's care. Not only can I give your pet the essential care it needs, I will make sure they are happy and feeling loved. I currently work two days per week & can be flexible with times etc. I can incorporate dog walks into my daily routine as I head out for walks/run everyday rain or shine. About: Hi! I’m a teacher with the summer off and I’m hoping to spend some of that time with dogs. I love being outside, going for walks, exploring trails, and spending time with animals. I grew up with a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, so I understand that dogs need lots of care, attention, and exercise. I’ll likely get a dog of my own in the future, but for now I’d love to help care for yours. Animals bring me a lot of joy, and I’m excited to meet some new dogs this summer. I have plenty of time during the day to check in on your dogs, take them for walks, and give them the care and attention they need. About: Hi! My name is Eric, I'm a dog-lover with over 10 years of experience caring for our canine friends. I recently lost my 5 y/o rescue dog named Neve (pictured) to a sudden unexpected illness, so I am looking to continue to have canine companions in my life and look forward to treating your dog like they were my own. I have a wide range of experiences with dogs, ranging from growing up and training working dogs (German Shepherds) to working as a dogsled guide. I am skilled in dog training (both balanced and positive training), as well as mental stimulation. I understand each dog's unique needs and quirks, including their routines, medications, and favorite activities. I love to go on dog walks, runs, and play a mean game of fetch – and look forward to building a relationship with your canine companion. I am available for dogwalks / runs and pet-sitting. I currently work remotely and have quite a lot of flexibility to conduct dog-walks and dog-sitting. If time and interest allows, I can bring a dog with me to a pet-friendly office (guaranteed they will get a ton of pets and treats), or take them 30-90 minute walks during the day, or longer after work hours in the late afternoon or evening. I have a reliable car and extensive knowledge of the wonderful trails here! I am unable to host dogs but more than able to dog sit in a clients house. I thrive with open communication and clear instructions, and with any client and canine will build rapport and trust before dog sitting to learn their unique quirks, routines, and get to know one another.

About: Dogs have been a constant love of my life but a career built around travel meant I couldn't have one of my own. So I found the next best thing: caring for other people's dogs when they can’t. That's taken me from simultaneously managing eight dogs for a couple in Hungary, to looking after a hostel's resident dog during a year living in Sri Lanka — and many happy dogs in between. Back home in Squamish, I've sat for dogs ranging from 3-month-old puppies to an 18-year-old tripod senior, and I currently do enriched walks and sitting with a local pet care company. Whether it's a bouncy pup or a gentle old soul, I bring the same patience and genuine enthusiasm. I also have experience with reactive dogs and understand that they need extra patience, awareness, and a calm handler. Your dog won't just be looked after, they'll be loved. Working from home on a flexible schedule makes me able to take breaks at any time. I can go for walks or breaks throughout the day. While getting to know eachother, I prefer to keep the dog on leash or in a fenced area. I follow the owners guidelines for what works for their dog an what is within their comfort zone.

Thanks to this, I’ve developed a strong understanding of dog behavior and feel confident handling dogs of various temperaments. I’m passionate about making sure every dog feels safe, happy, and loved during their walks. Whether it’s a high-energy adventure or a calm stroll, I’ll tailor the experience to meet your dog’s unique needs. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend! I am working full time as a substitute teacher in both the Squamish and West Vancouver School districts which is why I'm able to offer assistance in the afternoon and evenings M-F. I am available all day Saturday and Sunday. As I have my own dog, I cannot do home care but I am happy to take your dog out for a proper walk, and I can do drop in visits as well if needed. I'm comfortable with leashed and off leash walks once I’m familiar with you and your pup.

About: I am a mom to a very special 11 year old medium sized pup who I have raised since she was a puppy. Through her, I've gained deep experience caring for dogs with sensitivities, anxiety, and reactivity, and I approach every animal with patience, empathy, and respect for their individual needs. I understand that not all dogs fit the “easygoing” mold, and I genuinely enjoy building trust with pups who need a little extra care and understanding. I also have extensive experience with cats - I grew up with them and have lived in shared spaces with them over the past 8 years. I’m comfortable meeting them where they’re at, whether they’re social, shy, or independent. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and emotional well-being are always my top priority. Please note: My dog, Rylee, is very neutral and impartial with other dogs. If you book boarding, she will be in the home - she is happy to share her space, beds and toys. When booking a walk, please let me know your preference if you'd like your dog to have a 1 on 1 walk or if they wouldn’t mind Rylee joining - I am happy to accommodate either way. I currently work remotely full-time but with a very flexible schedule. I am available for day-time company, lunch time pop ins and/or afternoon or evening walks. I live in an apartment but am in very close proximity to all of the Smoke Bluff trails. I also have a large terrace that is perfect for soaking up the sun.
