Dogs have been part of my life for as long as I can remember so I know how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your four-legged family member. I currently offer dog walking and drop-in visits. Whether your dog needs a good outdoor adventure, a leisurely sniff-and-stroll, a potty break, or simply some companionship and affection while you’re away, I can help. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to seniors who need a little more patience and a gentler pace. I’m also comfortable caring for dogs with health conditions and have experience administering medications and injections, as well as supporting dogs who experience significant anxiety. I believe every dog is an individual, so I take the time to get to know their personality, routines and comfort level. Some dogs are ready to head straight out on an adventure, while others need a slower approach and time to build trust. I’m happy to meet them where they are. My schedule is currently quite flexible, and I spend much of my time outdoors and volunteering with horses at a local rescue. I love being outside, so dog walking is something I genuinely enjoy- whether we’re stretching those doggy legs, exploring a favourite trail or simply taking time to stop and sniff along the way. I’d love to learn more about your dog and how I can help you feel confident that they’re receiving attentive, dependable and loving care while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment
I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your dog and respecting your home. During drop-in visits, I’ll follow your dog’s regular routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, medications if required, potty breaks, playtime and, of course, plenty of attention and affection. I’m also happy to send you updates and photos so you know how your dog is doing.

Desiree was wonderful! She sent me updates on Xena’s stay and made sure I knew she was happy and content. Xena came home tired from all the walks and her play time with her new dog friend Ryder, which is exactly what she needed! :) Will definitely be contacting Desiree the next time Xena needs a place to go during the day!
Desiree, Maya and Ryder made my holiday stress free, as I knew my furry baby was in the best hands! Yogi was so well looked after that I will now book more holidays so she can go back to visit her “other” family! Such a caring and comfortable home ... I would recommend highly!
I’ve know Desiree and her little guy Ryder for about 6 years now. We were Neighbours first & then doggy coparents & now we are very good friends. Every time my dog (Karma) & I would come in the build from outside the first stop was Desiree’s door. She hasn’t lived in my building now for 2 years & the regular routine is to still stop by Desiree’s old apt. Anytime I’m away or in a pinch Desirée has been there for both of us. She is one of the most companionate, reliable and warmest ppl I know. I highly recommend if you need a dog sitter to use Des as your dog won’t want to leave her place due to of the amount of love, exercise and cuddles they will receive. Eli & Karma Xx❤️
I am thrilled to write a testimonial. Our golden retriever Lola loved going to Desiree’s house for visits! She always made Lola’s time super fun with adventures (hikes, beach swims, trail walks, dog parks, playing ball) and treats (should I mention the DQ cones?). I always knew when I dropped Lola off, that she was in amazing hands and would have a blast. Desiree has such a beautiful way of being with all animals, but especially dogs. She’s one of those rare people that dogs gravitate to- they know she is an animal person and it’s really touching to watch. My own golden would get so excited every time we pulled up in front of Desiree’s house and would literally charge to the door- my biggest worry was that she wouldn’t want to come home! Watching Desiree with her own dogs is so sweet. They are gorgeous animals- personable, good around children and adults, and full of character which I think is a product of good pet upbringing. I highly recommend Desiree as a trusted, caring person to watch over anyone’s beloved dog.

Schedule
My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to offer dog walks and drop-in visits throughout the week. I spend a lot of my time outdoors and also volunteer with horses at a local rescue, so caring for animals and being outside are already a natural part of my daily life.
