About: Hey :) I've lived in Whistler for just over 3 years, after moving from Cambridge (UK) and work for the mountain. I enjoy hiking, skiing and going to the gym on my weekend! Growing up, I have had all the pets, including a dog. I also grew up with chickens, ducks, quail and rhea (a bit like an ostrich). I am currently a Team Lead for Whistler Blackcomb so am used to responsibility :). I can be flexible with durations if needed 🐶 I am available most days after 6pm for walks and drop in visits, to look after your pet whilst you enjoy Whistler. I am available all day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday😊. I work Sunday - Wednesday during the daytime :) I treat all clients homes with respect and will treat your pet like its my own, I may also have to take a few cute photos along the way!

About: Hi! I’m an experienced animal caregiver who’s always loved being around pets of all kinds. I grew up with cats, dogs, and rabbits, and started pet sitting at 15, so caring for animals has always been part of my life. I have a Horse Specialist degree and have spent years working and living on farms and ranches, so I’m comfortable with everything from household pets to larger animals and different temperaments. I’ve also assisted vets with all kinds of treatments—from surgeries to smaller care like bandaging and injections—so I’m confident handling pets who need a bit of extra care. I truly treat every pet like my own and aim to make them feel safe, happy, and loved. I’d love to meet you and your pet! 😊 I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to adjust to your schedule and your pet’s needs. I have lots of time to play, care for, and give attention to your pet so they feel happy and comfortable. I’m based in Whistler and have my own car, making me reliable and able to travel easily. I’ll care for your pet either in your home or mine during the day, making sure they get lots of attention, play, and downtime. I’m a very active person and love being outside as much as possible, so walks and fresh air are always part of the routine. I live just a short walk from Alta Lake and have the Valley Trail right outside my door, which makes it easy to give pets plenty of fun, safe outdoor time.

About: I have looked after dogs and cats for many years. While I don’t have a dog at home currently (my last dog, Iggy, an Australian Kelpie passed away in March at 15 years old) I would like to welcome fur babies from time to time. I work part time from home so I have plenty of time to look after doggies. It’s just my 9 year old daughter and myself and we both adore 4 legged companions. I live on a quiet cul-de-suc with plenty of greenery and snow in winter with a dog park near by (walking distance). I offer plenty of short outdoor breaks or long walks (whatever the preference is). I can provide regular updates and plenty of pictures/videos. I am happy to look after senior dogs or puppies as I have experienced with both.

Sophie was awesome…! We brought 2 dogs up to Whistler - both above 80 lbs (doodle mix and Great Dane). She took them out together and they had a ball. What I appreciated most was that Sophie communicated consistently, was flexible when we asked for a longer day (hrs with both dogs), and they explored and adventures…! Our pets are family, and when we go away we want them to have fun, as well. Sophie asked great ?s in advance (not too many, tho) and was delightful. We would recommend Sophie!! ❤️

About: Everybody wonders why I don’t have a dog. In my free time I walk dogs. They bring me so much joy. And they get me out and about. For the majority of my life I have had a dog. At this point in my life it’s not ideal as I use to and hopefully will travel again for work. I was a canine massage practitioner so your pet will get lots of good pets! I am very active and love discovering all the trails the Sea to Sky has to offer. I have lived in Whistler for 20 years and I am very familiar with the area. If would like to know more please let me know. Looking forward to meeting your furry family member(s). I work for myself so I have a very flexible schedule. I like morning adventures in the woods and maybe one in the afternoon as week! Depends on what the dogs needs! I like to meet the owner and the pets a few times to make sure the pets have time to adjust and the owners feel comfortable with me in their home taking care of their pets.

About: Hi, I'm Ingrid, a passionate pet sitter and dog walker with over 10 years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds. I’ve served many dog owners, offering personalized care that caters to each pet's unique personality and needs. Whether it’s helping anxious pups feel at ease or ensuring pets with special diets are happy and healthy, I go the extra mile to ensure your furry family members feel safe and loved while you're away. While traveling, I've had the opportunity to petsit and care for pets and homes across Canada, the U.S., and Australia, building trust with pet owners who value my reliability and genuine love for animals. Now based in beautiful Squamish, I live in a pet-friendly townhouse with plenty of space for playtime and relaxation. There’s also a peaceful park and a forest nearby where dogs can run and explore freely. I’m here to provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment to your pet. I’d love the opportunity to meet your furry companions and give them the same love and attention they deserve! I'm quite active and enjoy regular walks throughout the day, which is even more enjoyable with a dog by my side! As a professional dog walker, I often take groups of up to six dogs on adventures in the mountains and forests. If there’s space available, your pup can join in on the fun! I also offer individual walks for dogs who prefer a quieter experience, so rest assured, I can accommodate their needs. I provide personalized pet care in both my home and my clients' homes, ensuring a safe and loving environment for every pet. In my home, I have a pet-friendly townhouse with ample space for play and relaxation, along with access to nearby parks and trails where we can explore together. When caring for pets, I prioritize their individual needs, whether that means adhering to specific dietary requirements, providing extra attention for anxious pets, or maintaining their usual routines. I also ensure that each pet feels secure and loved, whether they’re enjoying group walks on the trails or receiving one-on-one attention at home. Communication is key, so I keep pet owners updated with photos and messages to reassure them that their furry family members are happy and well cared for. My goal is to create a positive and nurturing experience for both pets and their owners.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in Whistler. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighbourhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

Tip: Keep in mind that many cities in Canada require your dog walker to have a permit or licence for group walks.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance travelled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Whistler.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits, dog walking, and doggy day care. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find walkers in Whistler with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Whistler choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
