I've always had animals in my life, starting when I was a child and my mom trained guide dog puppies. I have owned birds, large snakes, reptiles, rodents, horses, cats, big dogs, and small dogs. Some with complicated medical needs. I'm comfortable with any animal you can legally keep as a pet, and I'm happy to care for them. I recently adopted a small senior dog, but he can stay with my parents for periods of time if I’m dog sittting.

it was Brodie’s first sleepover at Hillary‘s. She is just so caring and gave me lots of feedback while he was there, which is always so reassuring .(Brodie is a Yorkie, and he has a big personality.!)Honestly, I couldn’t ask for a better person to take care of him. I felt like Brodie was in great hands the whole time !
Hillary was great with Waffles, and really easy to communicate with. Waffles was well taken care of and had a great time.
this was only our meet and greet. Hillary went out of her way to make sure that Brodie was going to be comfortable with her on future walks . He loved her immediately … which to me is the best tell when your dog trust someone so fast.

Hilary was phenomenal during our wedding trip to Whistler. She took care of Ajax during wedding events that weren’t dog friendly and made it very easy by picking him up and dropping him off for the events, even when timing changed (as things inevitably ran late etc.) She also took great care of Ajax, including taking him for walks (his favorite!) and ensuring he was happy in an unfamiliar environment. Thank you very much Hilary!
Hillary was so great! She was prompt, friendly, and communicative. She took Skippy on a beautiful trail walk while we skiied. It was so nice coming home to a happy tired pup!

Schedule
I work part time and it's very flexible, so I'm not typically gone long hours and I can always make adjustments if I need to for a pet's schedule. My dog is rarely alone more than an hour and a half.

I do have a small senior dog in my house and kids (4 & 6) who visit often. My dog and the kids can both be kept out of the house with another family member if needed.

A typical day
I live near the train tracks, the Valley Trail, a very secret swimming spot, and the big park by Myrtle Phillips. We use these things for as much energy burn as we need. I also run, so dogs who are big enough and already in shape to keep up are welcome to join me. High energy breeds are ok, before I got my terrier, I had a Doberman and he never took a mental or physical day off.
