I have lots of experience caring for dogs and cats and have worked in animal care for several years. I have spent my life caring for my family's dogs, Bear and Olive, ensuring they were always happy and well looked after. Beyond my family’s pets, I am the go to dog sitter and walker for my friends and neighbours when they need the extra support or away on vacation. I’ve always loved animals and hold an undergraduate degree in Zoology. I have over ten years of experience in animal care, including working as a Veterinary Tech Assistant in clinics, to working in animal shelters, to several placements in wildlife care. I fully understand the trust involved in inviting someone into your home and caring for your pets. I am always responsive, will follow all requests, happy to share regular updates and photos, and will always make communication easy and reassuring throughout each stay or visit.

I am comfortable working with more complex cases such as pets with medications and nervous behaviours. I am comfortable managing feeding, walking, and medication routines, and always committed to treating every pet as if they were my own. I understand the importance of listening closely to pet parents and following any guidance and care requests to ensure each pet receives the best possible care. I will always prioritise your pets welfare.
Ratings and reviews
We were nervous about leaving our pups with Danica (and her partner Jim) as they had never been without us before, and one of our dogs can be challenging to manage (can be reactive, high energy, not keen on having strangers pet her). Danica and Jim patiently won her over and did a great job ensuring both dogs were safe and happy. They kept us updated, and it was wonderful to see the dogs having a good time. Highly recommend!
Danica & her partner Jim are the loveliest people and took such great care of my little Lola! They’re clearly experienced with animals and their needs. My dog has a really strict diet for medical reasons and they adapted accordingly and with great care. Lola came home so happy, rested and had clearly had the loveliest time. I’d highly recommend these guys to take care of your pets ☺️

Schedule
I am very flexible as I often only work early mornings in a local cafe and have a few days off in the week. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and getting out and about in the outdoors. I would love to build a network of pet parents I can support.
