“Amanda and Drew are such a dynamic duo and took excellent care of our energetic and curious German Shepherd Husky mixed rescue pup! Their athletic and health conscious lifestyle was great for draining his energizer bunny-dog battery and appreciating his outdoor behaviour which is where he shines!”

“Amanda and Thomas are so fantastic with my mischievous boy, he clearly has the best time with them and is very well taken care of. Thankful to be able to go away and know he's on the safest of hands! Thanks so much again:)”

“Eric, his son Edward and Micheala were very friendly and accommodating for our dog. It was very difficult to find a Rover family during our short stay in Squamish but they came through for us. Charlie was well looked after and I was happy with their care in looking after our elderly dog. I didn’t get a chance to see their place where our dog would be staying as they live in an apartment, something they might consider in the future.”

She was fantastic at communicating the booking details / requests and kept me updated with photos throughout the time away. “When I was looking to book a sitter for our girl, I couldn’t have imagined her having as amazing of an experience as she did with Stephen. She was relaxed and comfy in their home, and they made our trip so much less stressful by being so accommodating and communicative while we were away. Ika was returned to us happy and we couldn’t be more pleased with her experience. Thanks Stephen and Emma, Ika looks forward to seeing you again soon!”

Thank you very much! We will definitely look for William again the next time we need someone to take care of Tapioca.”

About: I am 30 years old and live in Squamish full time. With 6 years of experience pet/house sitting in the Sea to Sky, I have developed strong relationships with many dog & cat parents. I miss having a dog of my own, so caring for local pets brings me so much joy. I grew up caring for neighbourhood dogs, volunteering at the SPCA and assisting at vet clinics. This experience in animal care exposed me to dogs with challenging behaviours and taught me what’s needed to keep your dog happy and healthy. I am also very active, and would love to take your dog on runs and trail walks. I am willing to adapt to different pet routines and keep your animal company with house sitting services. I love incorporating training techniques and mental stimulation into your dogs care. I am open to caring for all breeds and sizes as well. I am very organized and responsible as a service provider. Walking, playing with and spending time with your dog are my top priorities! I work from home which allows for flexible time to care for your pet(s) and go for mid-day walks. I am happy to provide 2+ walks a day for active dogs. I will not be able to provide care in my own home, but would be happy to do home visits or housesit while you are away, in addition to daily walks.

Our goal is to make dogs feel relaxed, loved, and at home by maintaining their usual routines and providing plenty of attention, exercise, and care in a clean and comfortable environment.

“We were visiting the area and had a few non-dog-friendly activities planned for the day, so we had to board our 9.5 year old pup for a few hours. Vanessa took great care of Frisko. He warmed up instantly to her when we met and looked calm and relaxed when we picked him up. She was also really flexible with schedule.”

“Eskel had a fantastic time with the family! Pick ups and drop offs were easy, and I got mini updates thought the day or at the end of the day. Esk would love to visit again!”

“Sierra was so lovely! Our dog doesn’t always take to people immediately but sierra was so calm and wonderful with her! She listened to Indi’s cues to make her feel safe and comfortable. Sierra was on time and had great communication! Thanks so much!”

About: I've been taking care of animals since I was a kid, walking dogs, pet sitting, feeding cats and peoples birds. I have also had my own pets since I was 5, including dogs, cats, hamsters, and birds. I take great pride in my genuine love and care for animals, and have been called the "animal whisperer" by many people. I have a knack for attracting animals to me because I believe they can understand how deeply I love them all. Whether they are young or seniors, I will take special care depending on their needs or limitations. “Olivia is a great communicator and Stanley had a great time with her! Very prepared and responsive. She took him on a lovely walk and he was all tuckered out from the fun. Stan is looking forward to seeing her again!”

“Stephen & Emma were very lovely! We arranged a Meet & Greet a few days ahead of time to go over all Dosa logistics, which I really appreciated. Drop-off was smooth; both humans were very punctual and communicative. Dosa clearly had a fun time - he didn’t even notice when I showed up! Would definitely book with Stephen and Emma again (probably very soon).”

“Amanda has been an absolute joy to coordinate with and my Lady Nala was in very good hands. My pup often experiences anxiety with certain noise and strangers, but Amanda’s calm and bright energy was able to keep Nala calm and happy for the whole day! Very much looking forward to doing this again - thanks!”

About: 🐶 What Sets Me Apart & My Experience: Hi there! If you're looking for care that goes above and beyond standard sitting, with less stress and more structure than a commercial doggie daycare - I combine structured daily routines and walks, individualized brain games and enrichment, and experienced, skill-based handling for every type of personality - to give your dog an individualized, fulfilling and professional daycare experience in the comfort of a home setting. 🌟 Why Choose Me? * Flexible, On-Site Presence: Working from home means that I can give your pup constant supervision, attention, and companionship throughout the day. * Structured Daily Enrichment: Every daycare guest receives a minimum 1-hour walk/hike and 30 minutes of daily brain games and enrichment activities—plus a summary report and pictures/videos of the day’s activities! * Hands-On Sport & Skills Training: I personally own two small-medium rescue dogs from Mexico who I actively train in several dog sports, as well as to be everyday solid citizens. I bring that same enthusiasm and deep understanding of canine learning to provide individualized care to every daycare guest. * Active Dog Sports & Continuing Education: I regularly take dog sports classes under instructors across the Lower Mainland and dedicate personal time to studying canine behaviour, reinforcement-based training modalities, canine nutrition, and species-specific enrichment. * Tractive GPS Tracked for Peace of Mind: Safety is my top priority. All daycare guests are fitted with an active Tractive GPS tracker during outings, giving you complete peace of mind that extra precautions are always in place. * Add-On Training Services: Looking to brush up on manners or address specific behaviours? This is something we can tackle together for an additional fee! Example behaviours I can strengthen during daycare hours include: recall training, crate/settle training, loose leash walking, confidence building, impulse control, moderate separation anxiety, environmental desensitization, cooperative care, muzzle conditioning, dog sports foundations and more. 🐕 Animal Care Background & Specialized Experience I have 5 recent years of dedicated experience in canine care, supplemented by a 15-year background in the equine industry—including experience as a farmhand, handling performance horses, and farm sitting. Handling large, high-drive animals built my strong foundation in animal body language, safety, and calm, confident handling. My hands-on canine experience covers a wide range of care settings: * Reactive & Quirky Dogs: Experienced in reactivity, trigger management, defensive handling for reactive or fearful dogs, and navigating unique behavioural quirks. I offer safe, low-stress environments tailored to your dog’s comfort level and individual needs. * Group & Private Walks: Skilled in leash handling, walking multiple dogs on leash, off leash group walks of up to 10 dogs, skills-focused training walks, and solo decompression walks. * Multi-Dog Households & Daycare: Experienced in managing multi-dog dynamics, ensuring respectful social etiquette, safe mutual play, and proper rest. * Confidence-Building: Having successfully rehabilitated my own two cautious, fearful, and reactive rescue dogs, I have hands-on experience building agency, problem-solving skills, and optimism in dogs who may feel overwhelmed by the world around them. * Overnight Boarding: I am currently closed to general overnight boarding, but I am open to accommodating occasional boarding requests for regular, recurring daycare clients—schedule permitting. I am currently completing my MBA with plans to pursue professional dog training after graduating—so caring for, understanding, and enriching animals is truly my passion and craft! 📅 Daily & Weekly Schedule Caring for dogs is fully integrated into my daily routine. My schedule is built around a predictable rhythm of exercise, mental stimulation, and dedicated downtime to keep dogs calm, fulfilled, and well-rested. 🕒 Sample Daily Flow 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM | Start Work Day My dogs sleep in while I start my work day. 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM | Daycare Pick Up and/or Morning Potty Break A calm start to the day with a stretch and potty break in the yard. Where applicable, daycare guests and I may go out for a 15 to 30-minute leashed walk in the neighbourhood. 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM | Morning Enrichment & Skill Training I feed my dogs and daycare guests their breakfast through a structured training session and/or food puzzles. Training activities typically include canine conditioning, tricks/skills training and problem-solving games. 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Potty Break & Structured Morning Rest Back out to the yard for a quick break, followed by dedicated quiet downtime so dogs can settle and recharge after morning activities. 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM | Mid-Day Enrichment & Potty Break A quick brain-game session during lunch breaks can feature any combination of scent work, targeted skills training, playtime, and/or nutritional enrichment (puzzle toys, Toppls, LickiMats, or chews). 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM | Afternoon Down Time All dogs settle in for an afternoon snooze while I lock in to finish my work day. 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM | Main Exercise (Walk or Hike) The primary outdoor adventure of the day! Every daycare guest gets a minimum 1-hour trail hike or walk, on or off leash, to explore and burn energy. This can take place with, or without, my personal dogs - depending on your dog's individual walking needs. 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM | Daycare Drop-off and/or Post-Hike Decompression & Rest Relaxation time to unwind after physical exercise before heading home or wrapping up the evening. 💡 Why Owners Love This Routine: * Balanced Energy & Recovery: Alternating physical activity and mental exercises with forced rest prevents over-arousal and keeps dogs in a calm, confident state of mind. * Continuous Supervision: Working from home allows for constant safety monitoring, custom potty routines, and smooth transition management throughout the day. 🛡️ Safety, Trust & Environment Safety and clear management are the absolute top priorities in my home. I approach environment management with proactive structure, safe handling, and strict safety measures. 🏡 Environment & Setup in My Home * Dedicated Management & Containment: My home is set up to safely manage multi-dog dynamics. We use baby gates, crates and room separations to ensure safe, supervised interactions, peaceful meal times, and stress-free rest periods. * Secure Outdoor Space: Outdoor time in the yard is always supervised to prevent escape attempts, over-arousal, or fence-line frustration. 🔒 Safety Protocols & Handling * Proactive Trigger Management: When out on walks or hikes, I maintain strict situational awareness. I give reactive or sensitive dogs plenty of distance from potential triggers (other dogs, bikes, wildlife) and can manage stressful moments using positive reinforcement and defensive handling skills. * Separated Feeding & High-Value Items: Food, high-value toys, and chews are always given separately to prevent resource guarding and ensure every dog feels completely relaxed while enjoying their treat. * Emergency Preparedness: I keep a comprehensive pet first-aid kit on hand (I was previously certified in Pet First Aid in June 2022), maintain quick access to local emergency veterinary clinics, and always keep owner and vet emergency contacts readily available.

I will cater the experience to the individual pet and their needs. I can handle pets that need to be crated at night, or not. I can handle pets that need strict med schedules, particular feeding needs etc. I have a fenced in backyard, so you can be worry free about your dogs. I am happy to pamper them at your house or mine, so I can accommodate many specific needs and their quirky personalities.
“Jesse and Charlotte have been great! My dog loves going on his weekly walks with Jesse and is always sad when he leaves. They have great communication and are great to work with.”

“I felt very comfortable having Cindy look after my dog Jayda. From start to finish, communication with Julie was easy. She was accommodating and made the whole process easy. She took good care of Jayda and Jayda seemed quite content and happy. I would not hesitate to put Jayda in her care again.”

“Thank you so much! We truly appreciated everything. You were punctual, quick to respond, and the photos you sent were amazing. Most importantly, our dog Clermont had such a wonderful time with you! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thanks again!”

About: Raised on a farm, I’ve always been surrounded by animals and have a deep love for caring for them. As a self-taught positive trainer, I’ve helped many friends better understand dog behaviour. I’ve trained puppies and cared for senior dogs. I'm an outdoor enthusiast eager to meet more furry friends! I have a flexible part-time online job, so I have plenty of time to care for your pups. I’m available weekdays, weekends, days, and nights, and I’ll happily adapt to your schedule. Your pet's safety and happiness are my priority. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks, always on leash. If you'd like, I also have a friendly, well‑trained dog who would love to play with your pups!
About: Hello, my name is Hope. I currently live in downtown Squamish and I would love to help you out with your dog or cat. I love making genuine connections with people in the community and look forward to more! I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule to fit in a good long walk, a run or play time with your doggo. if there is anything you need me to be aware of I can try my best to accommodate. My place is ready to welcome your dog.
About: Dogs have been a constant love of my life but a career built around travel meant I couldn't have one of my own. So I found the next best thing: caring for other people's dogs when they can’t. That's taken me from simultaneously managing eight dogs for a couple in Hungary, to looking after a hostel's resident dog during a year living in Sri Lanka — and many happy dogs in between. Back home in Squamish, I've sat for dogs ranging from 3-month-old puppies to an 18-year-old tripod senior, and I currently do enriched walks and sitting with a local pet care company. Whether it's a bouncy pup or a gentle old soul, I bring the same patience and genuine enthusiasm. I also have experience with reactive dogs and understand that they need extra patience, awareness, and a calm handler. Your dog won't just be looked after, they'll be loved. Working from home on a flexible schedule makes me able to take breaks at any time. I can go for walks or breaks throughout the day. While getting to know eachother, I prefer to keep the dog on leash or in a fenced area. I follow the owners guidelines for what works for their dog an what is within their comfort zone.
About: I am a mom to a very special 11 year old medium sized pup who I have raised since she was a puppy. Through her, I've gained deep experience caring for dogs with sensitivities, anxiety, and reactivity, and I approach every animal with patience, empathy, and respect for their individual needs. I understand that not all dogs fit the “easygoing” mold, and I genuinely enjoy building trust with pups who need a little extra care and understanding. I also have extensive experience with cats - I grew up with them and have lived in shared spaces with them over the past 8 years. I’m comfortable meeting them where they’re at, whether they’re social, shy, or independent. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and emotional well-being are always my top priority. Please note: My dog, Rylee, is very neutral and impartial with other dogs. If you book boarding, she will be in the home - she is happy to share her space, beds and toys. When booking a walk, please let me know your preference if you'd like your dog to have a 1 on 1 walk or if they wouldn’t mind Rylee joining - I am happy to accommodate either way. I currently work remotely full-time but with a very flexible schedule. I am available for day-time company, lunch time pop ins and/or afternoon or evening walks. I live in an apartment but am in very close proximity to all of the Smoke Bluff trails. I also have a large terrace that is perfect for soaking up the sun.
About: I had a successful positive reinforcement dog training business in Vancouver for several years and now I live in Squamish. I held a CPDT-KA certification which I opted not to renew last year because I no longer teach classes. My own dog is 15 years old and can no longer enjoy a long trail walk with me, so I would like to help other dog owners meet their dogs’ needs. I am also certified in Pet First Aid. I work part time as an EA during the school year and am studying at Capilano University in Squamish to become a teacher. I have a very flexible schedule and the means to travel to do drop ins. I have many years of experience caring for dogs and I love to make them feel calm and happy. I really care about safety and stress management, so I prefer to walk dogs on leash (or a long line) and I usually bring a clicker and a treats so we can build up some positive behaviour.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of who I am. I don’t have formal training or certifications, but I have years of hands on experience and genuinely love animals. I’m attentive to their individual personalities and needs, and I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and at home. For me, it’s less about simply looking after a pet and more about treating them like family. Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I enjoy getting outside for walks and spending time at home with animals, so I’m happy to make time for regular walks, playtime, cuddles, and plenty of downtime. My schedule can vary from week to week, but I’m hoping to care for pets every now and then when it works well with my schedule. I’m also happy to follow each pet’s usual routine and give them the attention and care they’re used to. I treat every pet as an individual and do my best to keep them comfortable and close to their normal routine. I’ll follow their usual feeding, walking, medication, and sleep routines, while giving them lots of attention, playtime, cuddles, and downtime depending on what they enjoy. In my home, I provide a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and at home. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and make sure their pet’s routine stays as consistent as possible. I’ll always communicate with the owner and make sure I understand their pet’s needs and preferences before they’re in my care.

“Raffie had a great stay with Olivier and Marie! Raffie is an older pup, and requires a little more care but Olivier was on top of it. They were quick to respond, sent lots of pictures and flexible when it came to all of Raffie's needs. Highly recommend and looking forward to booking again!”

“Our dog Gus loved this stay with Tessy. He was socialized with other dogs, had plenty of activity and she was so flexible with his drop off and pick up times changing. I actually think this was Gus' favorite dog sitter to date.”

“Linley took such incredible care of my female Samoyed. I needed care for 4 days and felt completely at ease the moment I connected with her. She was fantastic at communicating the booking details / requests and kept me updated with photos throughout the time away. She look my pup on many walks and even treated her to a puppy doughnut at Fox & Oak. It was a great experience and I highly recommend her services! I will definitely be rebooking her for future boarding needs.”

I have owned my own dogs and cats and have worked with them professionally too, as a dog aquafit specialist in Vancouver. Now, i work from home in Squamish a few days a week, which means I can offer plenty of company, playtime, walks and snuggles. I also have a toddler who is very respectful of animals and loves being around them. Your pet will always feel safe and comfortable in our home. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, or just a calm presence, I’ll treat your furry family member like my own. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I’ve always had animals in my life. I’m used to feeding, walking, playtime, and giving lots of affection throughout the day. Since I work from home a few days a week, I have the flexibility to provide companionship and regular check-ins. On the days I’m not home full time, I still structure my mornings and evenings around pet care, whether that’s longer walks, cuddle time, or keeping up with their routines. In my home, pets are treated like family. I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved by keeping to their normal routines—whether that’s walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or quiet cuddle time. I’m attentive to their needs and always provide plenty of supervision, affection, and stimulation. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your instructions closely to make sure your pet feels secure in their own environment. I maintain their regular schedule, give them lots of attention, and provide updates so you know how they’re doing while you’re away.

“Choose Kelly for her regular updates, adorable photos, and the frequent hikes in beautiful forested areas. My dog had the best time, and I had peace of mind knowing they were in great hands!”

“Vanessa is truly the best. She went above and beyond when Gryphon stayed with her for 10 days. She was quick with updates and responses to questions, and very loving towards Gryphon. He trusted her immediately! Thanks Vanessa for taking such good care of Gryph!”

About: Hi! I’m an experienced, reliable pet caregiver based in Squamish who genuinely loves spending time with animals. I provide dog daycare and boarding in a safe, caring environment where your pet will receive plenty of attention, exercise and companionship. I’ve cared for dogs with a wide range of personalities and needs, from energetic pups who love outdoor adventures to senior dogs who benefit from a slower pace, medication routines or a little extra reassurance. I live in an apartment but ensure frequent potty breaks and provide a calm, supervised environment.
“Jessica was incredibly caring, patient, and understanding with our shy dog, Sawyer. She knew exactly how to help him feel comfortable and at home during his overnight stay. Sawyer got lots of exercise, had a great time playing, and came home happy and relaxed. Jessica also sent us photos and updates throughout his stay, which we really appreciated and made us feel at ease. I would highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their furry family member!”
