Vanessa was a bit of a life saver for us last minute. Our dog is slightly reactive and needs a calm environment with long walks and one on one time which is exactly what he got. We received thoughtful updates, and when he came back to us he was very calm. Would 100% recommend Vanessa to take good care of your pet!

Schedule
I work from home (downtown Squamish) Monday to Friday, and seldom have back-to-back meetings so my day can be easily organized and balanced for you pet care needs! My day usually starts at 6am and I can accommodate earlier starts :)

Safety, trust & environment
I have a semi-fenced deck that leads to a common yard area with bushes and shrubs at my home, and I live on the ground level of an apartment complex so it's easy to get in and out without getting into an elevator. I am also steps away from the dog park, grassy field and trails. I live with my partner (male) who loves having dogs and cats around. Your furry companion will be in great company with the both of us. I make sure to be communicative with the owner at all times, and ask any questions in advance so that I am prepared. I often take pictures to send back in case you miss them, or they're doing something funny that I just want to share!
A typical day
It will depend on the pet but typically we start we a potty break and a lap around the complex, completed with a treat. Then some home time with toys or naps. I love walking down the local trails, or gentle hikes or even a swim depending on the dog! I also like to visit dog parks where they can be social if they want to. If they have weak joints, sensitive paws, or have reactive tendencies, I will tailor their time with me. I stay attentive to how they are and their environment to make sure they have a safe and happy time with me. And of course they get a tick check and towel dry after our walks!
