About: Growing up with dogs in the home and a pet lover at heart, I am currently just finishing up my law degree and am looking to spend some time with your little one's while I spend a couple months living at home in Delta. If you might be in need of a dog walker, I'm a former varsity rugby player and am also always happy to be getting in some exercise! I've dog sat for neighbours and family friends many times and currently live with my best friends Sadie and Sophie (goldendoodle and bernadoodle) as well. About: I actually can’t remember a time where I have not actively been involved in the care and welfare of animals. From my family’s farm in the Cariboo to our family animal rescue on Vancouver Island. It has become a way of life for me. From bottle feeding motherless newborn kittens, hiking down a snow bank to patiently catch a dog escaped from a car accident, to nursing a blind hen abandoned by her flock - and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Life these days is a bit quieter, it includes my animal loving 5 year old daughter, and our two cats: 16 year old Snow Pea and 8 year old Blossom. In 2021 we lost our beloved senior rescue dog Keena. About: We both grew up in homes full of pets, including dogs and cats, (with Jeannalla growing up with 11 dogs!), so caring for them has always been a natural part of our lives. Over the years, we’ve looked after different breeds and sizes, which has helped us understand their unique personalities and needs. Our inspiration comes from our own dogs back home, whom we have not brought here yet, so we fill that space by caring for dogs here and treating each one as if they were our own. On weekends, we are both home, and on weekdays we can still be flexible given the nature of my work. For dog walking and drop-ins, we make it a priority to be on time and fully present with your dog. We do not rush walks and let them move at their own pace, while staying alert to keep everyone safe. We always clean up after them and make sure they are comfortable. We also pay close attention to their behavior and will report anything unusual that could signal health or other concerns.
