“Connie provided excellent care for our dog. She provided all of the information needed before drop-off. Once we dropped off our dog, she provided updates via texts, pictures, and videos on a very frequent basis. She was also very understanding when there was a slight delay picking up our dog due to traffic conditions. Happy to let her watch our dog again if needed.”

“Avigail is a wonderful lady! She is calm and softly spoken. Tia is a sensitive Labradoodle with some allergies. Avigail made sure she totally understood Tia’s needs and her personality. We came home to a pup who was extremely well loved and cared for! If you are looking for someone who loves your “fur baby” and does a 💯% job of making sure your instructions are followed…Avigail should be your choice! We will be requesting Avigail when we need a competent “sitter” ❤️”

“It’s always hard to leave your doggies behind when going on a trip. I appreciate the service and the drop off and pick up add-on made it very convenient for me… Happy to reunite with them. And thank you zhikun and family for taking care of them. :-)”

“Coco looked after our pup George for a night and it all went well. Coco was very flexible and easy to communicate with, and sent various photos during the night. George seemed to settle in quickly, and even though he was only there for one night he seemed very happy when we picked him up. We'll be sure to use Coco again if we need a dog sitter.”

“I cannot thank Hillary enough. She has been so so patient with my senior boy 🥹☺️. All the updates and adjustments she needs to do for him, it’s so comforting for me knowing that she cares for my fur baby. I definitely recommend her if you need someone to look after your fur baby. Thank you lots again Hillary!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of Yuzu! I received videos and pictures everyday during my trip and I could tell Yuzu was happy and comfortable at Andrea and Sergio's place. “Jessie took such wonderful care of Max, and I couldn’t have asked for a better dogsitter. She genuinely cared for him and kept me updated with lots of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while we were away. It was heartwarming to see how happy Max was and how quickly he bonded with Bubbles (her pup) and settled into her home. Knowing he was comfortable, loved, and having fun made all the difference. I would absolutely book with Jessie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring dogsitter.”

“i left my cat bug with her for two months when i left the country, and im truly so happy to have picked her to watch him. she was extremely accommodating, kept me informed, and sent me updates and lots of pics and videos (bug and her cat also became best friends which made me so incredibly happy!). i’m normally anxious when leaving bug with anyone, but my heart was at ease knowing he was in such good hands. i highly recommend her and definitely will be coming back to her so bug and pumpkin get to hang out again. thank you so much again!”

“Narjis did such a wonderful job caring for our kitties and other creatures (fish and frogs in various tanks) while we were away. She communicated clearly, asked questions when needed and was extremely reliable and caring. She went out of her way to ensure our very sneaky cat was safe and did not escape- which is a feat in itself. We would definitely recommend her and will be looking to have her care for them again in the future.”

“Lily-Mae is very kind and polite. Our cats took to her immediately and when we came home, they were all calm, groomed and in good spirits. Our home was tidy, cat litter, food and water were all clean and tidy. Lily-Mae’s daily photos and check-ins were reassuring and most appreciated! Knowing Lily-Mae was keeping an eye on our pets was a huge relief! Absolutely would recommend her and our pets would too! Thanks so much!”

About: Cats aren’t just part of my work, they’re part of my life. I share my home with two wonderful senior cats, so I understand the unique needs, quirks, and personalities our feline friends bring. I’m patient with shy or anxious cats, gentle with seniors, and tuned in to the small signs that tell me how they’re feeling. Whether it’s giving medication, keeping routines consistent, or offering calm companionship, I make sure every cat gets the VIPaws treatment care that’s as individual as they are.

About: With experience both professionally and personally, I am the ideal pet sitter and dog walker. I have over 5 years of experience working in two different pet stores. Not only did I interact with a variety of cats and dogs everyday day, I also gained an extensive amount of knowledge about pet foods, diet, care, etc. I have also grown up with cats and dogs my entire life. Currently I have two cats (one of them is a senior) and a 110lb Black Lab (not my only large dog experience!) I have also sat for many dogs and families, and have lots of experience with walking as well. I currently work Monday-Friday, however, am flexible so can be available for dog walks @ most times (with enough notice). I am available weekends, and weekdays for sure before 11am and after 5pm - but I can be available for 30mins/1hour in between those hours if needed. In my home, we have a full fences in back yard where we let my dog run free. We also go on at least 2 bigger walks everyday, allowing for more exercise and sniffs. He is also kennel trained. I could do the same in your home and with your furry companion, or do whatever it is that works for you and your dog.

“Good communication and prompt responses throughout. I really appreciated the regular photos and updates showing what Taco was getting up to. It was clear from the photos that he was comfortable, happy, and making himself right at home. He needed no transition time when he returned home and was immediately his usual happy self. Would definitely use this sitter again. :)”

“Samia did such an amazing job looking after my cat whilst I was away for a few days. Knowing she has cats herself, Samia understands how to look after them, knows how to care for them, and gets their little behaviours and personalities. Samia herself is a warm and lovely person, and communication was always so great - especially receiving photos and updates each day…on top of this, also reminding me my fish needed feeding (safe to say thanks to Samia, the fish went without hunger). I will definitely be reaching out to Samia again, thank you so much for being so great 😊”

“Nairoby was the best. She looked after our fur baby as if Cricket was her very own pussycat. My wife and I really appreciated the pictures of Cricket from each visit. You could not pick a better Drop-in sitter for your own fur baby. We highly recommend Nairoby.”

“Moose was very happy with Lin, picked him up and wasn’t overly shy, which he’s always shy with new people. Not sure how much interaction Moose had with Lin’s dog, but he clearly felt safe enough to not bolt off the moment he got to their house! Would strongly recommend 😊”
“I felt nervous at first as it was my first time using a sitter from this app and leaving my fur baby with a stranger, but Chris seemed calm and confident. I was receiving pictures/videos and updates throughout the week which made me happy and more comfortable. My cat seems to have enjoyed her stay, there is no sign of distress and Chris was able to accommodate her temporary need of probiotics as well. Overall i’m very pleased with the service and would not hesitate to rebook the sitter.”

“Farren did an outstanding job. We have a high anxiety cat that we have never left along before. She sent photos with updates and kept my mind at ease while we were away. She is kind, patient, professional and went above and beyond for our 2 cats. When we returned home, our condo was neat and tidy. The cats were very calm and relaxed. Would highly recommened Farren to anyone looking for a wonderful pet sitter. We will most definitely be using her services again !! Thanks so much Farren !!!!!🥰😊😻”

About: I offer a unique blend of animal expertise and caregiving experience. Having raised two cats from the kitten stage over the past three years, I completely understand high-energy behavior, feline routines, and the patience required for young animals. I also spent a summer walking a neighbor’s dog, so I am confident managing dogs on a leash and giving them great outdoor exercise. Beyond pet care, I regularly babysit children, which has made me incredibly responsible, highly adaptable, and excellent at following strict safety guidelines and schedules. Additionally, my background caring for turtles and goldfish means I am very detail-oriented with specialized habitats and feeding routines. As a student, my schedule is flexible, allowing me to easily weave dedicated pet care into my week. Because I already manage a daily routine caring for my own two cats, keeping track of strict feeding times, refreshing water, and providing plenty of love is second nature to me. Balancing school, babysitting, and pet care has made me an expert at time management, so I always have dedicated, predictable blocks of time to focus entirely on your pet's needs, whether that means an energetic mid-day walk or a cozy evening check-in. In your home: My priority is keeping your pet's environment safe, calm, and clean. Just as I do when babysitting, I follow your exact instructions for feeding, routines, and any specific habitat maintenance (like litter boxes or tanks). I treat your home with total respect, and I love sending daily photo and text updates so you have complete peace of mind while you're away. On walks & outdoor play: Safety is my number one focus. I ensure all collars, harnesses, and leashes are perfectly secure before heading out. I stay completely alert to our surroundings, keep dogs on a firm leash, and make sure they get a fun, refreshing walk tailored to their energy level so they return home tired, happy, and well-hydrated.
About: I grew up with my grandmother’s female cat, who I considered my big sister, and my parents have three dogs at home. I currently care for my own rescue cat, Maulie, who I adopted off the street. Over the years I’ve also looked after pets for family and friends, handling feeding, walking, and overnight care. My philosophy is simple: I treat cats like guests, not pets to be managed. I respect their independence fully — there’s nowhere off-limits in my home. Countertops, beds, top of the fridge — wherever they feel like being, that’s where they can be. I don’t change their behaviors or train them. You’ll pick up the same cat you dropped off. I feed manually — wet food, dry food, or whatever you prefer — because I believe in watching how they eat and adjusting accordingly. No auto-feeders. I want them to feel attended to, not processed. I use a Litter-Robot so they always have a clean bed of litter. And they sleep wherever they like, including on beds if that’s their thing. I understand how it feels to be away and not able to care for your pet — everywhere you go reminds you of your babies. I don’t have fancy facilities made for professional cat care, just a second home for your meow meow babies. I work from home, which means I’m home most days and able to give cats plenty of attention, playtime, and consistent routines, so your pet is never left without care. I live in a calm, family home with my daughter and our rescue cat, Maulie, so your cat will be joining a household that’s used to gentle routines and lots of attention. I believe in indoor-only cats — they stay inside, always safe. I use a Litter-Robot to make sure litter is clean every single time, and I manually feed every meal to make sure nutrition is on point. The apartment is bright and fully windowed. I won’t let your cat onto the balcony unless you prefer it — and even then, they’ll only be out there when I’m physically present with them. The space is quiet, safe, and pet-friendly — just a calm second home while you’re away. Maulie is a friendly, socialized cat who spends most of her time sleeping. She gets along with almost every cat, and if she’s not in the mood to play, she has her own secret hideaway spot where she goes to be left undisturbed — so your cat always has space to decompress too.

“Christine is a great walker. She is very considerate of my dog's needs and knows how to handle his reactivity. Enzo doesn't just go with anyone and he likes going for walks with Christine. Thank you Christine!”

About: I actually can’t remember a time where I have not actively been involved in the care and welfare of animals. From my family’s farm in the Cariboo to our family animal rescue on Vancouver Island. It has become a way of life for me. From bottle feeding motherless newborn kittens, hiking down a snow bank to patiently catch a dog escaped from a car accident, to nursing a blind hen abandoned by her flock - and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Life these days is a bit quieter, it includes my animal loving 5 year old daughter, and our two cats: 16 year old Snow Pea and 8 year old Blossom. In 2021 we lost our beloved senior rescue dog Keena. Caring for your dog or cat would be my absolute pleasure! My schedule is flexible to care for your pets as I work from home. My only appointments outside the home during the week would be school drop off and pick up at 9am and 3pm. I am a responsible parent to a pet savvy 5 year old daughter and two cats; a senior named Snow Pea and a rescued Persian named Blossom. I grew up surrounded by animals and over the last 20 years been involved in many facets of animal rescue. I am available for pet sitting and care in your home and I would care for your animals as I would my own.

About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. From fostering dogs in need, raising and training my own puppies to rescuing and adopting companions while providing patience, calming reassurance and dependable care in a peaceful and loving home. I am currently working part time, and pet care is already part of my lifestyle. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure they receive the care, exercise and companionship they deserve. I strongly believe that all animals should be cared for both physically and emotionally at home. What I do to meet their needs in my home: * Providing fresh water at all times and making sure they are fed healthy meals that coincide with weight, age, and food intolerances. * Encourage 15 minute training sessions (involves delicious treats) 1-2x a day for mental stimulation and consistency. * Puppy proofed. I have created a safe space where dogs are free to roam. No access to toxic plants, sniffing out cleaning products, chewing on electrical cords, and/or small objects they could swallow. * Big, comfy beds and/or couches for a place to rest, where they can feel secure. * Maintaining a routine for meals, playtime, walks, potty breaks, and bedtime. Dogs thrive on routine! * Toys, toys toys! Puzzle feeders, sniffing games, and interactive play. * Groom regularly by brushing their coat, trimming nails, cleaning ears when needed, and brushing their teeth. * Using positive reinforcement when redirecting and correcting. I reward good behaviour with yummy treats, praise, belly rubs and/or play time instead of punishing mistakes. * Socialize appropriately with people, other dogs, and new environments to build confidence and good manners. * Monitor their health for changes in appetite, energy, drinking, bathroom habits, and/or behaviour. * Give them attention and affection. Dogs are social animals and need companionship, interaction, and love to thrive. * Respect their individual needs. Every dog has a unique personality, energy level, and comfort zone. I have a fenced yard and a dog park across from my house. Your dog will always have a furry friend to play with or if they prefer alone time, that’s fine too :) I also make my own dog and bake homemade dogs treats as well. So, if your pup is on a strict diet or is on medication- I’m no stranger to feeding them healthy and nutritious meals and/or administering their medications.
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes for over 3 years. Friends, neighbors, and family regularly trust me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets with love and care. I’m currently working part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pups! I’m available for boarding on weekends and for visits or walks on weekdays. I’ll make sure your dog feels loved, exercised, and happy during our time together. While I don’t have a yard, I live in a pet-friendly community with plenty of great spots for walks and outdoor play. Your dog will enjoy regular walks in a safe, welcoming environment.
About: I’ve been fostering dogs & puppies for over 8 years now. I have one awesome Aussiedoodle who loves long walks, trail walking and runs so your dog will come along for all of that! I love taking care of and enjoying the company of other dogs and would be happy to give yours the love, attention and care it deserves when you need some extra help. I recently moved to Vancouver and would love to make some doggy friends for Bosco which is why my prices are so low! I work partially remote with 1-2 days a week in the office. The other days I am just home with my dog as I would be with yours. My dog and I love walks! We do a morning 1 hour jog, an afternoon walk for about 45 minutes and then an evening walk where I let him sniff go his hearts content.

“Michael was amazing! Axel immediately took to him! He is very reliable and made sure to update us on how the walks went. Axel was happy and calm when we came home. Perfect experience! I would highly recommend Michael and will book with him again next time we need a dog walker!”

“My dachshund, Poppy, had a great week with Julia and her family. The children shower Poppy with affection and lots of love. I always feel good about leaving Poppy with these lovely people. ❤️”

“Sandra truly loves dogs. She is a very capable dog sitter; administering meds to our senior dog and giving her lots of her time to feel comfortable and welcome. We received lots of great photos during our dogs 3 day stay and Sandra was very accommodating for the pickup and drop off times.”

“We felt completely comfortable leaving our anxious dog with Iris, she took great care of him. We feel lucky to have such a good option if we need it again in the future.”

“Allison was great. She was able to accommodate us with a last-minute booking. She sent multiple updates and photos about how things were going. Definitely recommend!”

“It was my first time leaving my dog Irie with a sitter through Rover. Our dog, Irie has stayed with a friend's older dog and cat before whenever we went out of town so I knew she's the submissive type and she knows she's a guest so she matches the resident animals' demeanour. Sara sent me photo and video updates and I could see how much fun Irie was having with Iris and the other dog under her care. Also, I think because Irie was with dogs closer to her age, she was more playful and I love that she was able to exert that energy. Many thanks again to Sara for taking care of Irie during our vacation. We'll definitely book again for boarding and doggy daycare when there's a need.”

“Nairoby took wonderful care of our dog, Leo, while we were away for a few days. She was flexible with timing, clearly loves dogs, and sent frequent updates that gave us peace of mind. Leo was a happy boy. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

“The person who was supposed to look after Alfred cancelled last minute. I message Yoni and Lonni and got a really quick response saying they could take Alfred and accommodate his needs as he doesn’t get along with all dogs. They were very responsive every time I had a question and made me feel comfortable even if I hadn’t met them. We were flying early in the morning and they took Alfred at 5:30am. We messaged throughout Alfred’s stay and they sent me pictures of him playing with a lot of different dogs which I was surprised about as he can be picky. They seemed to be very knowledgeable when it came to introducing Alfred to the right type of dogs. I’m very grateful that Alfred got to stay with them. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby!”

“My dog Kaila stayed with them for five nights, and the experience was great. I received regular updates, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. Kaila was well cared for and comfortable throughout her stay. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and attentive dog sitters!”

“Angela was the best pet sitter i could hope for for my senior dog. I felt so lucky that she was available and I knew my dog would be cared for really well. Super thankful for Angela and her kiddos.”

“As always, Lesley and family are so great with Finnigan. We call them his second family. It makes it so easy for us to leave him having full trust in them. Always highly recommended!”

“I only chose Anita from seeing other peoples reviews, and they weren’t kidding. Anita took great care of my cat, made sure it had a good time, and made sure it came back clean. If your pets needs a caretaker who is considerate, enthusiastic, and professional, choose Anita.”

“Millie was so well taken care of. She had lots of walks and cuddles. Plus her hair and teeth were brushed more than at her own house, lol Will be booking again soon!”

“James was wonderful. My little Koko had a great time with the other dogs. She was well taken care of and loved. I would definitely recommend James. Koko will definitely be back.”

“Antolene, was outstanding in caring for our elderly dog. She was accommodating to our drop off and pick up needs, she kept us updated and treated her like a member of the family. We would highly recommend her services and will continue using her in the future.”

“Yumiko watched my dog for a few days while I was out of town, and I couldn’t have been happier with her care! She was very friendly, responsive, and attentive from the start. She took my dog on lots of walks and sent me daily updates and photos, which I really appreciated. My dog always looked so happy and comfortable in the photos! My dog can sometimes be nervous around other dogs, and Yumiko took the time to introduce them slowly, which went really well. It was clear she genuinely cares about dogs. I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in her care, and I would absolutely book with her again!”
