Hi, I’m Devon! I’ve spent the last 17 years caring for my own pup, who was reactive for most of her life. Through patience, consistency, and training, I’ve learned firsthand how to handle challenging behaviors with calmness and compassion. She’s recently turned a new leaf and is even starting to make some doggy friends—which has been such a rewarding journey to be part of. Because of this experience, I’m especially comfortable with pets who may be shy, reactive, or just need a little extra understanding. I know how important it is to meet each pet where they’re at, whether that means giving them space, keeping visits and walks calm and safe, or celebrating small wins. I love building trust and seeing pets feel comfortable and happy in their own way. Whether your pet is social and outgoing or needs a little more patience and care, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. Please see my schedule section for a little more about my availability! House sitting services: I have made my house sitting services available on weekends, however, I am unable to accommodate anything over night at this time. Looking to add this service as more of a doggy day care in your home opportunity. Unfortunately since I officially opened my sitter account in 2019 it won’t let me request any testimonials/reviews from friends and family any longer so here’s a few things they had to say: Devon is truly amazing with my dogs! She takes the time to learn their little quirks and always treats them like her own. I get regular updates and photos, which makes me feel so at ease while I'm away. Devon is the best! Shes been so sweet and patient with my rescue pup who can be a bit shy around new faces. She always sends lots of photos and updates so I know Maisie is in good hands while I’m away. Devon is so accommodating, and helped me out with a last minute booking which was a life saver. Highly recommend her :)
Devon was the perfect pet sitter for my cat Edna! Firstly, she took the time to do a meet and greet so we could meet her before going on vacation which meant a lot just to know my kitty would be in good hands. She communicated amazingly and stuck to our agreed on schedule and let me know of any changes well in advance. During her visits she sent cute videos and photos, and truly went above and beyond in caring for Edna. It was obvious that Edna adored her and I couldn’t be happier. I’m super grateful and will absolutely be booking with Devon again!

Schedule
I live and work full time downtown, so easily accessible to the downtown and west end community. I am available the odd time in the morning before work and available majority of evenings and weekends! Unfortunately at this time, I am unavailable to take on long term visits during the day from Monday to Friday due to my work schedule. However, I’ve kept that schedule open for one off visits and walks that might be a good fit and are close to home. I live at Nelson and Jervis so please reach out if you are close by and I can try to make it work!
