“Our family booked a last minute camping trip and Alyssa was quick to respond, easy to communicate with and provided daily updates about our 2 dogs. She went above and beyond giving our dogs exercise (one who is very active) and lots of snuggles and love in the evening. I would highly recommend her to watch your pets and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”

“Really sweet and also an alpha. She kindly tells the dogs to behave. They are so happy we call her Camp Veronica. Our dogs have been on good dog trails with her as well as to the river. She always exercises our shepherd and her son sleeps with our Italian greyhound who loves him. Pals. We couldn’t be happier with a dog sitter”
“Birdie had the best time with Tracy and her family! Great daily updates on Birdie’s adventures, and many wonderful photos too. We will absolutely have Birdie back over to Tracy’s when we go out of town again.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets my whole life. I currently have 1 dog and 2 cats and 1 four year old daughter. I’m a teacher and have summer off, so I have lots of time to take care of your pet. I’m a teacher and am off for the summer so I have time to walk, play, or snuggle your fur baby. My house is pet friendly, dogs are allowed on the couch. I have a fenced yard with grass and trees and shade. I have a very mellow 12 year old dog named Yogi and 2 indoor/outdoor cats who do their own thing.
“I think I found my new go-to sitter! Sarah was incredibly flexible with timing and so generous with the amount of pics she sent of Jasper. Jasper got dog park play, walks, backyard time, and indoor cuddles. Location is prime and Sarah is wonderful!”

“We booked Leslie to watch our pug for an evening while we attended a concert at Hayden Homes Amphitheater. She's only about 10 mins away from that area. Leslie suggested we drop off earlier so that we would have plenty of time to find parking and get settled. Leslie is a great communicator and kept in touch with us to confirm needs of our dog, timing and checked in with us a couple days before the reservation to confirm we were still coming. She also sent us a couple pics while he was hanging out with her. I really appreciated having a safe home for our dog to stay for an evening. Thanks, Leslie!”

“Julie and Colin were AMAZING with my sweet puppy. They were super communicative, understood all of his needs, and gave him so much love during his stay. Would highly recommend to anyone in Bend!!!!”

“Colin and his daughters were incredibly kind and helpful watching our dogs over the holiday weekend — especially with only 30 minutes notice! They sent photo updates throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind, and we never had to worry about our pups at all. It’s clear they genuinely care about the animals they watch. We’re so grateful for their flexibility and care, and would absolutely book with them again!”

“Jamie was awesome! So thoughtful, responsive, and clearly cared so much about Wally having a great day. Wally had an absolute blast playing with her dogs. Would absolutely book again next time I’m in town!”

“Dani is great as always and helped us out with a last minute request. Right when we pulled up Archer ran in her home and was happy be back again. We got daily photos and updates and could tell Archer always feels right at home with her. Thanks again!”

“There are endless positive things to say about Chris! She went above and beyond to care for our dog. She does sniffle mats, walks, treats and sends pictures and videos during her stay! Her dog Bristol is also the sweetest pup and she is so gentle. The care and love she has for these dogs is so special. We can’t recommend Chris enough. Your pet will be in wonderful hands staying with her! Thank you again :)”

“She is so kind and great with animals! My Sargehas severe social anxiety and is very nervous and timid around new people and he warmed up so quick! The videos she sent me,he looks so happy and comfortable!! She's very communicative and I will definitely be booking though her again!! I definitely found my pup sitter 🥰”

“Scott watched our golden retriever Woody while we were away on vacation. He coordinated a meet and greet so we could meet him and also see his home. He is so kind and loving to the dogs. Woody had such a great time. They were always out running around and playing! The photos he sent us were incredible too. We will definitely have Woody stay with him again next time we are away. Highly reccomed!”

“Kailyn provided updates throughout or dog’s stay, as well as photos. Dogs in Kailyn’s care get multiple walks per day and lots of playtime with both her dogs and any other dogs she is watching at the time. Our pup came home tired and happy.”

“Archer had a great time at Elisa's! She sent over many pictures of him having fun and being part of the family. He especially loved playing with her kids! We could tell Archer felt at home with them, and we rae so grateful that Elisa helped us out with a last minute request. Thank you so much for taking care of our Archer!”

About: I’ve always had a pet as a member of my family. Cats and dogs. My current love is a super chill (yes, there is such a thing!) lab. Every walk is a mini training adventure. My lab Riley will get along with your pup, it’s just his nature. I provide enrichment during the day to keep boredom away. If I visit your cats, I know they might not visit me! I’ll just sit on the floor and wait for them to come out from under the bed! I’m fortunate to be able to adjust my retiree schedule every day. I’m flexible to your particular pet’s needs and schedule. It depends on the type of service, in my home or in yours. I have a completely fenced, (tall too) back yard. I don’t leave my pup unattended while he’s out. We leash walk mornings, afternoon and evenings. I have numerous sniffing loops I use as I live along the canal.

“We use Susan often to watch our 8 year old Goldendoodle, Jackson! Susan is so great. Super responsive and gives our pup a lot of love and activity. She always comes back happy and tired, and is always excited when we drop her off! Highly recommend.”

“Mary was amazing! My dog Archer who is usually attached happily ran straight to Mary, and Sunny greeted Archer so kindly that Archer made himself at home right away. I got cute updates and videos of Archer and Sunny playing and walking together, and I could tell that Archer was well-cared for and in good hands. I felt at ease over the holidays knowing Archer was getting premium care and exercise. I highly recommend Mary and would definitely book again!”

This is the second time that Russell has been available to take care of my dog. Russell is the BEST! He absolutely treats your dog as if it his best buddy. He even gave me some very useful dog-walking tips. I will use his services in the future and recommend him for caring for your dog, too.

Beautiful fenced in backyard with plenty of grass and even a water feature for the dogs to dip their paws in. Friendly companion dogs too. I’m sure Emmy received excellent care, and got plenty of attention from Jeanie and her family. She slept a lot when we picked her up which is a sign she had fun.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
