“Our family booked a last minute camping trip and Alyssa was quick to respond, easy to communicate with and provided daily updates about our 2 dogs. She went above and beyond giving our dogs exercise (one who is very active) and lots of snuggles and love in the evening. I would highly recommend her to watch your pets and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again.”

“Colin and his daughters were incredibly kind and helpful watching our dogs over the holiday weekend — especially with only 30 minutes notice! They sent photo updates throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind, and we never had to worry about our pups at all. It’s clear they genuinely care about the animals they watch. We’re so grateful for their flexibility and care, and would absolutely book with them again!”

“I wish there was a way to leave more than five stars for Tori! We reached out to Tori last minute and she found the space for our three year old Frechie, Remi. We got daily photos and videos from Tori of Remi’s daily activities and could tell she was having a BLAST! She went above and beyond to make sure we were kept up to date with how Remi was doing, and to make sure Remi felt safe and at home while we were away. We felt immediately comfortable with Tori and confident that her home was going to be a safe, and incredibly loving environment for our fur baby, but were blown away by how far above our expectations she went. We feel so incredibly lucky to have found Tori!”

“I felt SO confident that my doggos were well loved, exercised, and cared for while we were gone for nearly two weeks. They’re happy to be home but they seem like they had their own vacation and are now ready to catch up on sleep and laundry. Ok, sleep. I’ve found my go-to anytime we travel.”

About: I love animals! I am very active and my pups are getting old and not able to "keep up". If your dog loves to play ball, swim, or just walk I would love to help them out! I have had dogs my entire life. I have over 32 years of experience taking care of all different types of animals. I will love your pet as if it were my own! I believe an exercised dog can help reduce problem behaviors while at home too. A little more playtime can help your dog out while you are at work. And take off some of the stress on you! I am also doing this to help teach my son (age 5) the importance of taking care of animals and helping others. I look forward to playing and exercising with your furbaby! I am a stay at home mom with 2 kids. We spend lots of time outside and love dogs! We love going on hikes and I run regularly so your dog will get lots of exercise while they visit. I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly dogs that will keep your pup company while they are here. We take plenty of walk throughout the day as well.
“Leslie was fantastic with my anxious dog. He’s a rescue who experiences separation anxiety and this was my first time leaving him with a dog sitter. Leslie treated him like one of her own dogs and communicated frequently with updates and pictures. When he had a small health issue, she contacted me right away and was so good about keeping me informed. He quickly became part of her family and he felt secure, confident, and well cared for. I brought an anxious dog and left with a happy one!”

“Emily clearly took very good care of our dog and even updated us with pics while we were gone. She’s very responsive and communicative. Would definitely recommend Emily and we look forward to using her again! Thank you!”

“Stacey was great for Karb! He loves walks and hanging out outside and she has a great yard and took him on lots of good walks. She was nice, very responsive, and sent plenty of cute pictures! 10/10!”

“Kailyn + Scottie are absolutely incredible! From the kind and compassionate energy during our first meet and greet, to the thoughtful photo updates, and prompt communication -- there was no doubt that my pup Winston was in great hands from the beginning. This was my first Rover experience, and I was admittedly a bit nervous dropping off my sensitive Australian Shepherd for the first time with someone new, but seeing how happy/relaxed he was after picking him up from a week away, there was no doubt in my mind that they showered him with love, cuddles, and time frolicking on the trails of Central Oregon. I will absolutely be reaching out to them again for future dog care!”

“Julie and Colin were great with Archie! They were very communicative and flexible. They have a very dog friendly home and Archie clearly was happy and relaxed being there. I highly recommend Julie and Colin.”

“Christina was a wonderful host. She communicated clearly and consistently, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our slightly anxious Cavalier felt completely at home with her—she took such loving care of him. By the end of the week, he and her dog were even snuggling. We’re so grateful to have found a caring, active home where he was truly comfortable and happy.”

“Birdie had the best time with Tracy and her family! Great daily updates on Birdie’s adventures, and many wonderful photos too. We will absolutely have Birdie back over to Tracy’s when we go out of town again.”

“Scott is fantastic. Our dog Millie immediately took to him at the meet-and-greet and was very happy to see him again when we brought her to his place for the actual stay. His property is wonderful for dogs, with comfortable and safe areas in the house and a large outside area for playing and sniffing. Scott is amazing with dogs. He is loving and playful and patient and clearly understands them well. We would use him again in a heartbeat.”

“Cheri was an excellent communicator and dog sitter! It looks l Rajah was treated as a member of their family and enjoyed plenty of walks and outings together. Her cat is good with dogs and it was sweet to see the relationship they were forming! I wish we were not moving so that I could continue to use her services.”

My dog mabel, always has a wonderful time at Michelle’s. She sees them consistently and seems very comfortable whenever I drop her off! Michelle’s kids are kind and I can tell they love spending time with Mabel. I never have to worry about her while I’m at work and am grateful for their care!

We couldn’t have picked a better dog sitter for our Charlie boy! She sent a ton of updates, kept him busy on walks and playing with his ball, and even let him snuggle with her in bed. I think he was sad to leave 😂 would absolutely book Jill again if we are back in the area!

My pup was happy and calm when I picked her up after a 3 day stay with Leslie. As others have noted, Leslie is a great communicator, with lots of updates and photos or videos. It's reassuring to see your darling dog having a good time while you're away! Leslie's very organized and careful. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter! She took excellent care of our older pup and was attentive to his needs throughout his stay. Communication was fantastic—we received regular updates and always felt informed and reassured. We would happily book with her again and highly recommend her to others!

Our yellow lab stayed with Jessica for over a week while we were on vacation and had the best time! We are convinced that he had more fun during his week than we did. We got pictures of his swimming and hiking adventures which was so great. And he got to spend time with her two beautiful, well-behaved dogs and cat. He was a bit sad and super tired when we picked him up. Thank you so much for the wonderful care of Ollie, Jessica and Steve!

Amy was a WONDERFUL sitter for our Benson! We were confident he was being loved on and well taken care of. Amy communicated with us to set up the event Months before the actual date and then confirmed closer to the date. She sent pictures through the weekend that calmed and warmed our hearts. She was an excellent sitter, wish she wasn't do far from us, so we could rely on her more!
Julie did a great job of caring for my senior pup during my recent 9-day trip! She dealt with his food pickiness, administered his many eye drops, and kept me updated during the entire trip. Julie‘s dog uncle Jesse is a friendly old man who’s happy to have other pups over. Highly recommend Julie’s place!

Tracy was amazing! She was so kind and communicative, and I felt completely comfortable leaving my dog with her and her family. I really appreciated how thoughtful and professional she was in making sure the stay would be a great fit for everyone. She sent plenty of wonderful updates and gave my pup an active and engaging staycation. I’d absolutely book with her again or recommend her to anyone.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
