“Emily was great, very warm and welcoming to Boojum. I really appreciated her one dog at a time policy for overnight stays, I knew Booj would get the attention he needed. Thanks Emily!!”

“Madeline did an absolutely stellar job taking care of our heeler during his stay with her. She was communicative about how he was doing and did a great job asking questions when she needed, and we’re excited to have her watch him again.”

“Thanks so much for taking care of our dog, Hazelnut! Daniella was super nice and accommodating. Hazelnut had a great time going out on outdoor walks and hanging out with Stella and Winston. Daniella gave us daily updates and photos of our dog while we were away on our trip. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a dog sitter.”

“This was our first time using Rover and John was awesome! Our 12 year old dog Toby seemed totally comfortable from first meeting and had great fun during his stay. We were able to enjoy our vacation with no worries knowing Toby was in good hands. Thanks John, Toby misses you! ( :”

“Lisa and Max provided exceptional care for my gentle giant, Zay, for a week. They kept him happy, entertained, and trained, making me feel confident while I was away. He was even more trained when I picked him up! Zay was genuinely overjoyed and didn’t want to leave when it was time to go. They sent numerous photos of his fun time, which reassured me that he was in loving hands. I highly recommend Lisa and Max to anyone looking for outstanding pet care! Their dedication, kindness, and attention to detail are unparalleled. We will be using them again!”

“Adina was wonderful taking care of Arts for her first overnight stay. She also watched her first soccer game! Arts came home a happy, tired dog. Thank you Adina, Olivia, Duke and Cuzco❣️”

“Sonja was the best!! This was the first time we left our little dog Charlie (16lb Shnoodle) with someone. He usually travels everywhere with us and it was hard to leave him behind. We decided to try Rover and found Sonja lived nearby us and had really good reviews. Charlie and Cooper had a pre meeting and got along great. Sonja sent us pictures every day of Charlie relaxing in their lovely home and Charlie and Cooper playing together having a great time! She was super flexible about pickup and drop off as well. When we picked Charlie up he gave Sonja a farewell that he only reserves for family.. I can’t say enough about what a great experience this was for us and if we have to leave Charlie again it will only be with Sonja and her husband and Cooper. Thanks so much!”

“Cheri was an excellent communicator and dog sitter! It looks l Rajah was treated as a member of their family and enjoyed plenty of walks and outings together. Her cat is good with dogs and it was sweet to see the relationship they were forming! I wish we were not moving so that I could continue to use her services.”

“Otis had such a blast with Lisa and was so well cared for. We had some instructions for Lisa to provide minor medical care for Otis during his stay with her. She was so kind and supportive and handling this as well as providing a lot of comfort and companionship for him while we were away. She also trimmed Otis’ nails and cleaned up some paw fur that was irritating him. She built a lot of trust with him and he felt so at home in her care. Couldn’t ask for more.”

“Christina was a wonderful host. She communicated clearly and consistently, which gave us so much peace of mind. Our slightly anxious Cavalier felt completely at home with her—she took such loving care of him. By the end of the week, he and her dog were even snuggling. We’re so grateful to have found a caring, active home where he was truly comfortable and happy.”

“Sarah took great care of my lovable Bernedoodle Rusty. She makes sure he gets exercise and pup love and he looked quite "comfortable" and happy in the pics she sent me. This was my second booking with Sarah and I already have another stay lined up in a couple weeks! I highly recommend her!!”

“I can’t say enough nice things about Tiffany. Our communication was great. I had a change in travel plans and she was very accommodating. She sent me pictures of them home and on walks so I knew he was having a blast. Her pup Barb is a doll and very friendly :)”

About: I’ve cared for dogs since elementary school taking care of two family dogs with very high energy! Now a work from home dog dad, I can provide plenty of attention to your furry friends. Including morning, lunch time, and evening walks to get the zoomies out, play tug of war, or some simple fetch. I work from home and tend to have very limited scheduled meetings. This allows me to be flexible with my week day schedule as I’m available 8am and on to take care and play with your dogs. Weekends I am typically busy with an outdoors adventure, but am always open to adding a furry friend to join my pup on outings. I have a completely fenced in back yard with plenty of room to run around and get the zoomies out. I live in a safe and quiet neighborhood with a great 20-30 minute walking loop and quick access to the Deschutes river if your dog loves the water.

Sarah was awesome! She helped Jasper settle in the first night when he was feeling anxious. She took him for walks and to the park, sent updates and pics. He quickly relaxed and enjoyed his staycation. I will definitely use Sarah and again and would recommend her to friends.

Dave was very attentive to Dexter‘s needs over Dexter‘s weekend stay. Dexter tends to wake up very early and Dave got up with him to take him outside which I was very appreciative of. I received frequent updates and quick responses to messages I sent to check in. I am very grateful for Dave and Lisa!

She was great with Maya! Maya is a cuddle bug and needs couch snuggles, particularly when she's anxious from being left alone, and Sage delivered. She kept me apprised of how Maya was doing, including after Maya made herself sick from something she ate (she's a roadside trash goblin).

Our dog loves staying with Aubin so much he doesn’t want to leave! Aubin treats the animals she’s watching like her own. Giving them lots of love, attention, and sending updates. I always feel better when I can leave Bonzo with Aubin because I know he is happy, loved, and safe!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
