🐾 A Loving Home Away From Home
After a lifetime of having dogs, I know how much they become part of your family. I have several friends and family that I regularly board when they are out of town. I recently lost my own dog, so I’m excited to open my home to more new four-legged friends. I’ve had experience with a wide range of breeds, sizes and personalities, including but not limited to Golden Retrievers, Doodles, German Shorthaired Pointers, Springer Spaniels, Bernese Mountain Dogs and Alaskan Malamutes, as well as rescue dogs. I’ve been around everything from smaller to very large dogs as well as dogs with easygoing to strong willed personalities, and I understand that every dog has their own needs and temperament. When your dog stays with me, they’ll be cared for like one of my own, with plenty of attention, love and companionship. My goal is for you to feel confident that your dog is happy, safe and well cared for while you’re away.

Your pet is in good hands with Selah. I am selective about who I leave my pets with but theyre on holiday with her. She cares for them as I would my own. She matches her style to the pet - mine need walks, lots of human interaction, and snuggles. They always leave happy and well cared for. Selah also has experience with giving pills/light medical aid and is responsible enough to care for your pet if something goes awry (God forbid!). Tldr: Selah loves pets and will care for yours as her own. They are in loving hands and I trust her fully.
Selah is the BEST substitute dog-mom there is!! She loves my golden like her own and makes sure his stay is filled with walks, snuggles and treats. My favorite go-to pet sitter!
I use Selah for every vacation we go on that we cannot bring Vida. Vida loves her and her family and is always happy to see her. She is the only person that I trust to watch Vida while we are gone. Her backyard is fenced which is fabulous and she walks her daily and loves her like I do. Can’t do better when you can’t have your best buddy with you.
Selah is a loving, thoughtful and responsible adult who loves all the furry creatures! I would trust her with my BFF (my dog, of course) any day. She goes above and beyond the bare necessities, making sure your pet feels loved and gets the care they need and deserve. She’s also just a really great person. I’m a fan.
Selah has been caring for our greyhound Leo for almost 4 years. Sometimes it's just a quick weekend getaway and other times it's for a 2-3 week vacation. Leo is always spoiled with lots of walks and abundant love, and I have complete peace of mind when I am away that he is well cared for. Any pet would be lucky to spend time with Selah as she has a genuine love for animals, and I feel so fortunate to have her to depend on. I recommend her without reservation!!

Schedule
I work full time, but I have a flexible schedule and am able to be in and out throughout the day. Dogs staying with me will generally not be left alone for more than about 4 hours at a time. I’m able to provide regular potty breaks, attention and companionship throughout the day, along with plenty of time at home in the evenings and on weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced yard and the Larkspur Trail right in my “backyard,” which gives me plenty of opportunities for leashed walks and exploring. There’s also a dog park nearby if that’s something your dog enjoys. During the day, dogs are welcome to hang out with me in the house and be part of the household. If your dog is more comfortable being crated, I am happy to accommodate that too. I really believe in meeting each dog where they’re at and making their stay feel as comfortable, safe and familiar as possible. Every dog is different, and I’m happy to work with their personality, routine and individual needs.
A typical day
Depending on what your dog needs I can walk am and pm. I have a dog park and many trails in my backyard. The activities largely depend an what you pup needs.
