Information Lisa & David H. would like to know about your pet

To ensure a peaceful stay for everyone, please share if your dog has specific medical needs, medication schedules, or mobility issues. We also need to know about any fears, separation anxiety, or resource guarding to maintain a calm environment for our mellow Cavaliers. Since we prioritize a low-energy household, we specifically look for small-to-medium, gentle dogs who enjoy a relaxed pace and get along well with other pets. We require a pre-visit meet and greet. Before we meet, we will email you our pet information form so we can review your details together in person and iron out any specifics before your dog's stay.

A typical day

Our day is built around your pet's needs and comfort. We start with an early morning or nighttime potty break, followed by a refreshing neighborhood walk before breakfast. Throughout the day, we stay active with a second meal before noon, midday and evening walks, and occasional field trips to the river or local parks. Back at home, your pet will enjoy a huge selection of toys and plenty of couch cuddles on soft blankets. To ensure a peaceful night, we take a couple final backyard potty breaks before everyone piles into the big bed to sleep together. I love capturing these moments, so expect regular photo updates of our adventures and snuggle sessions!

Retired MD | 24/7 Concierge Care

Pet care experience

Your dog deserves more than a sitter—they deserve expert, constant care in a calm, loving home. My husband and I are both retired professionals and are home full-time, allowing us to provide true 24/7 Constant Care. I am a retired MD and surgeon and bring decades of clinical observation, calm decision-making, and precision to the care of dogs, particularly seniors and those with medical or special needs. We host only one family at a time, in a quiet, non-smoking home designed to be low-stress, safe, and deeply attentive. ________________________________________ Medical & Senior Dog Expertise I specialize in caring for dogs who require more than routine boarding. I have personally cared for dogs with: • Seizure disorders requiring IM rescue medication • Complex daily medication schedules • Chronic kidney disease (CKD) • Cardiac disease, including mitral valve disease and congestive heart failure • Post-operative recovery (incisions, cone-wearing, restricted movement) I am comfortable with: • Precise medication administration • Monitoring respiratory rate and subtle clinical changes • Recognizing early warning signs of decompensation • Calm decision-making in urgent situations We are located less than 5 minutes from a veterinary clinic, providing additional peace of mind. ________________________________________ Our Dogs & Compatibility We share our home with two male King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, ages 5 and 2. They are sweet, gentle, social, and low-energy—happy nappers who enjoy calm companionship. Because their well-being matters deeply to us, we are selective and require a mandatory meet & greet to ensure compatibility. We prefer dogs with a docile temperament who match their gentle energy. ________________________________________ What Makes Our Service Premium • True 24/7 supervision (we are home full-time) • Only one family at a time • Medical-grade observation and structured care • Ideal for senior dogs, medically complex dogs, or dogs who do poorly in kennels • Quiet, predictable, low-stress environment • Daily photo and/or video updates for owners

Dexter always has such a great time with Lisa and Dave. I’m so grateful we found them. They are communicative with me while I’m away and are attentive to Dexter’s needs and robust feeding schedule. I have full faith in them to take care of my senior little guy. Thank you!

Dexter had a wonderful time with Lisa, Dave, Fezzi and Scout. This was Dexter’s first longer overnight and he did very well under their attentive care. Looking forward to the next one!

Dexter’s first overnight with Lisa and Dave was fabulous. I knew he was in a safe and attentive environment from their frequent and detailed updates. Lisa and Dave adjusted to Dexters regimented feeding schedule with ease and made sure he was comfortable. Plus, Dexter has two new friends in Fezzi and Scout, their Cavaliers. I will be booking with them again!

Dexter had a wonderful first visit with Lisa and Dave. He was well cared for and the environment was calm and relaxed, which is just what Dexter likes! Dexter is 13 needs a fair amount of care and I was worried about leaving him in a new space. Lisa and Dave did an amazing job of keeping me updated on how Dexter was doing throughout the day, letting me know what Dexter was up to and following the guidelines I had shared with them. This gave me the confidence of know that Dexter was in safe hands. Lisa and Dave are not only attentive but also respectful of Dexter’s needs. They took the time to get to know him and his communication style, kept their own dogs on leashes while we did a meet and greet and asked smart questions if anything was unclear. Their dogs, Fezzi and Scout are a delight. Like Lisa and Dave, they are kind, respectful and easy to get along with. Dexter doesn’t always like other dogs and he got along with theirs. I am so grateful to have found Lisa and Dave and will definitely be bringing Dexter there again!
