About: From growing up with an energetic, fun-loving yellow lab named Wally, to working at a veterinary clinic, and now caring for my own 7-year old Wheaten Terrier named Beans, I've spent most of my life around pets! My time at the vet allowed me to learn how to take care of so many different types of pets, big or small, playful or calm. It also taught me how to approach all types of pets, and how to make them feel comfortable with me. I'm a natural born animal lover, no matter the size or breed. I'm really looking forward to getting to know your pet! I’m currently free pretty much anytime, any day to care for your pet! I’m more than happy to come early mornings, late evenings, and weekends! I have always been a big rule-follower, and this really comes in handy when caring for other peoples animals. As someone who has used Rover for my own pup, I know letting someone into your home can be daunting, but I do everything I can to make you and your pet feel comfortable!

Sara walked our pup while we were on vacation and to take some stress off of my mom who was watching our toddler. My mom raved about how sweet and dependable Sara was for walks and our pup was very well cared for. Thank you so much, Sara! We hope to have you sit Harper again in the future!

Shelby is a reliable, professional, and all around wonderful dog person who did a great job walking our Berner, Sully. She took him on local adventures in our surrounding area, making sure he got plenty of exercise and stimulation during the full hour. Her love and care for dogs is evident in all her interactions. Emerson has been taking Bella on long walks while I am recovering for surgery. Bella is a very hyper , leash reactive dog. Emerson has been on time and takes her for an hour and a half which tires her out to the max. So greatful for Emerson, and her ability to handle my high maintainenance high energy pup! Note: Bella is not the best on leash, she tends to pull and Emerson is really handling it. She walks Bella three times a week.

About: I have had animals in and around my house all of my life. I love both cats and dogs and have experience with both and many different sizes and breeds. I love animals and consider them a part of my family. I have experience administering pills, syringes, eye drops and most other common at home care for both dogs and cats. Pet care is my main focus. I run a small business from home which allows me full focus and flexibility around your pets needs! I’m very flexible and will ensure to prioritize your pet if we have a booking together. I try to leave any space better than I left it. I’m happy to follow any directions you may have for both your pet(s) or your home. I always double check locked doors, water and food levels as needed prior to leaving. I will make sure your pets are cared for, and you are kept in the loop of any and all things that take place during my time with your pet(s).

About: I’m a caring and reliable pet sitter with a genuine love for animals of all kinds and ages. As a licensed pharmacist, I have extensive experience safely administering medications — both to pets and humans — and I’m very comfortable following detailed care instructions to make sure your furry family members get exactly the care they need. I’ve had the joy of sharing my life with a wonderful German Shepherd and two rescue cats. Though my current housing situation doesn’t allow me to have pets of my own right now, I still cherish every moment I get to spend with other people’s pets. I especially love active dogs — bonus points if yours is a frisbee enthusiast! You can trust that your pets will receive attentive, compassionate care in a calm and structured environment while you’re away. I work part-time remotely, which gives me the flexibility to provide lots of attentive, one-on-one time with your pets throughout the day. I’m very active and love going on walks, runs, or trips to the park, so I’m a great match for energetic dogs or playful cats. My availability is generally flexible, though it works best if you’re comfortable with my children (ages 9 and 11) joining me during visits if your booking falls on my parenting time (please ask if it’s an issue). I’ve been trusted by many clients — including friends and strangers alike — to care for their beloved pets and homes. I provide daily updates and photos throughout each booking so you can stay connected and feel completely at ease while you’re away.

David has been an incredible dog walker for my dog Sasha. He is outgoing, fun-loving, and genuinely loves animals. What amazed me most was how quickly Sasha bonded with him — she is usually very shy around strangers, but she connected with David immediately. Now she gets excited every time she sees him! Their walks around the neighborhood are always an adventure, and it’s clear how much David enjoys exploring nature with her. He is kind, funny, dependable, and brings such positive energy to every walk. Watching Sasha so happy and comfortable with him has been wonderful. It truly feels like the perfect match.

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 15, giving me about 15 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, personalities, and activity levels. Animals have also always been a huge part of my own life. I’ve raised and trained two dogs of my own, including my family's current 140-lb Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd, so I’m very comfortable with everything from puppies and smaller breeds to extra-large dogs who sometimes forget just how big they are! I’ve also had cats my entire life and am comfortable caring for multiple cats at once. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, and I try to keep things as familiar and consistent as possible while their humans are away. I’m comfortable maintaining established training routines and house rules, and I also have personal experience managing some behavioral challenges, including dog reactivity/aggression. I’m currently a student taking primarily online courses and do not have a separate work schedule, which gives me a lot of flexibility and allows me to spend plenty of time with the pets in my care. For housesitting in particular, I’m able to be at the home for much of the day rather than leaving pets alone for a full workday. I do have a dog of my own, but he stays at home with family who adore him and are completely comfortable caring for him while I’m housesitting. This means I’m able to stay in your home without needing to bring my own pet along. My goal when caring for pets in their own home is to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I’m happy to follow your usual feeding, walking, potty, medication, bedtime, and training routines, as well as any household rules you have in place. If your dog isn’t allowed on the couch with you, I’m not going to become the fun babysitter who teaches them otherwise! If you do allow it, you can be sure plenty of couch snuggles will happen! I’m also very respectful of the fact that I’m a guest in both your pet’s space and your home. I’ll follow your instructions closely, keep things tidy, and make sure your pets receive plenty of attention and companionship while you’re away.

About: I grew up with a Lakeland Terrier and a Yorkshire Terrier, who taught me both the fun and responsibility of pet care. While I don't currently own a dog, I do actively dog sit for clients, friends, and family. My experience allows me to provide sincere and kind pet care for your dog. I work remotely most days, so I am available to take care of your pet early in the morning, afternoons, evenings, and anytime during weekends. I’ll take care of your pet in your home based upon your guidelines—it’s your home, so I want your pet to have consistency within the practices you’ve established.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and caring for them comes very naturally to me. I’ve had pets growing up as well as currently, and have often watched dogs for friends and family over the years. I’m comfortable with different types of animals and have experience caring not only for dogs and cats, but also horses and chickens. I’m attentive, calm, and very respectful of each animal’s unique personality and needs. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and relaxed while their owners are away. I work remotely as a full-time artist and content creator, so my schedule is very flexible and allows me to give pets lots of attention throughout the day. I’m available for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day and evening. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and naturally build my routine around their needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed in their familiar environment. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions for feeding, routines, walks, and any special care needs. I aim to keep their routine consistent so they feel secure while you’re away. I’m calm, attentive, and respectful of both the home and the animal’s personality and boundaries. I’m also happy to send regular photo and text updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

Morgan was very easy to communicate with, reliable, and flexible when scheduling walks. Of note, I have two XL (90 lb) dogs that intermittently pull, and he was able to handle and control them, which was greatly appreciated. By the end of the 4 days of daily walks, he had established routine, and method of communication that both of the dogs respected. They were both so excited when he would show up for walks. I would definitely request Morgan again.

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
