About: My family has owned dogs my entire life. Part of my chores around the house has always been taking my dog out on a walk around the neighborhood and I have the skill necessary to keep my dog safe from other dogs that might not be so friendly while also allowing him to go about his business. We have owned dogs in the past that weren’t so friendly and I had learned how to keep them under control. I currently work 1 day a week at a golf course and am available any day of the week to walk your dog! Any time of day works for me. If I am ever at a clients house dog sitting, I will always be sure to keep the dog/s in a safe area while also allowing them to have their allowed freedom and ensure they don’t do anywhere they are not supposed to

“David has been an incredible dog walker for my dog Sasha. He is outgoing, fun-loving, and genuinely loves animals. What amazed me most was how quickly Sasha bonded with him — she is usually very shy around strangers, but she connected with David immediately. Now she gets excited every time she sees him! Their walks around the neighborhood are always an adventure, and it’s clear how much David enjoys exploring nature with her. He is kind, funny, dependable, and brings such positive energy to every walk. Watching Sasha so happy and comfortable with him has been wonderful. It truly feels like the perfect match.”

“Emerson has been taking Bella on long walks while I am recovering for surgery. Bella is a very hyper , leash reactive dog. Emerson has been on time and takes her for an hour and a half which tires her out to the max. So greatful for Emerson, and her ability to handle my high maintainenance high energy pup! Note: Bella is not the best on leash, she tends to pull and Emerson is really handling it. She walks Bella three times a week.”

About: Hi! I'm Naomi, a lifelong animal lover based in Bend, Oregon. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pets as if they were family. I share my home with two dogs and a cat, so I'm comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. Whether your dog loves long walks and adventures or prefers a slower pace and plenty of cuddles, I'm happy to tailor my care to what makes them feel safe and comfortable. I offer dependable, attentive care with regular photo updates, so you'll always know how your pets are doing while you're away. I'm experienced with feeding schedules, administering oral medications, reinforcing routines, and giving pets the patience and affection they deserve. My goal is simple: to make your time away as stress-free as possible—for both you and your pets. I treat every animal in my care like one of my own, providing plenty of love, exercise, playtime, and companionship. * Experienced caring for both dogs and cats * Comfortable with puppies, senior pets, and multiple-pet households * Reliable, responsible, and communicative * Flexible scheduling * Daily walks, playtime, and enrichment * Regular photo and message updates * Calm, patient approach that helps pets feel at home I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pets. Let's schedule a meet-and-greet so we can make sure it's the perfect fit! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. Whether your pet is staying overnight, stopping by for a visit, or joining me for a walk, they'll receive consistent care, exercise, and lots of affection. I plan my day around the pets in my care, making sure they have regular potty breaks, meals on their normal schedule, playtime, walks, and time to relax. I believe keeping pets on their usual routine helps them feel comfortable and reduces stress while you're away. When your pet stays with me, they'll be treated like part of the family. I strive to create a calm, safe, and loving environment where they can feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. I take the time to learn each pet's routine—including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise needs, favorite toys, sleeping habits, and any medications or special instructions. Keeping their routine as consistent as possible helps them settle in and feel at home. My home features a fully fenced backyard, giving dogs a secure place to run, play, sniff, and enjoy the outdoors under my supervision. In addition to backyard playtime, each day includes walks, enrichment activities, and plenty of one-on-one attention. Safety is always my top priority. Pets are never left outside unattended, I closely supervise all interactions, and I maintain a clean, pet-friendly home where they can relax and feel at ease.

About: My love of and for taking care of animals started at a young age, being partially raised on my grandparent's farm. I grew up with dogs and cats as companions, and that early connection taught me how to listen to them: their moods, their energy, and the quiet ways they communicate what they need. Today I’m a self-employed forest therapy guide in Bend, and that same sense of presence and patience carries into how I care for pets. I love taking dogs on enriching walks where they can explore the world through scent and movement, or simply sitting with an animal and letting them feel safe and at ease. I’ve raised and cared for many different personalities, including a medically needy pug and my current highly anxious border collie rescue, who has taught me a lot about sensitivity, reassurance, and reading subtle cues. I’m especially known among friends as a bit of a “cat whisperer”; even the shy or standoffish cats tend to warm up quickly. Whether your pet is playful, nervous, curious, or independent, I meet them where they are and care for them with gentleness, attentiveness, and respect. My goal is simple: that your pet feels safe, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away. I'm self-employed, working a mix of at-home and guiding outdoor sessions that keep me away for no more than 3 hours at a time. I have plenty of time and flexibility to ensure your furry family is well taken care of! I like to stick to YOUR routine and preferences to keep your pets happy, healthy, and safe. I create a calm and comfortable atmosphere and keep a tidy, respectful environment when staying in your home.

About: I have several years of both informal and formal house and pet care experience. My background spans caring for pets and homes for friends, colleagues, their extended networks, and now clients through a trusted, review-based service. I’ve looked after playful dogs, affectionate cats, and senior pets requiring special attention, as well as smaller animals. My services range from overnight house and pet sitting to dog walking, drop-in visits, and extended companionship during the day. Responsibilities have included maintaining daily routines, administering basic medications, providing exercise and enrichment, keeping homes secure and clean, and ensuring pets are happy, healthy, and comfortable. I approach every assignment—whether a quick walk, a full day of company, or an extended stay—with the same responsibility, care, and respect I’d expect from someone looking after my own home and pets. As a remote employee with a highly flexible schedule, I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care. Working from home means I can easily accommodate feeding schedules, playtime, litter box cleaning, and companionship throughout the day, rather than just in the mornings and evenings. I can adjust my work hours around a pet’s needs—whether that’s extra snuggles, medication at a specific time, or simply being present so they feel comfortable and secure. This flexibility allows me to provide consistent, attentive care and keep pets’ routines as normal and stress-free as possible while their owners are away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety, trust, and creating a calm, comfortable environment. I follow all instructions carefully—whether that’s feeding and medication schedules, exercise routines, or special care needs—and remain attentive to any changes in behavior or health. I treat each home with the utmost respect, keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it. I’m mindful of doors, gates, and other safety considerations to prevent escapes or accidents, and I ensure pets have safe, cozy spaces where they can relax. Whether it’s an energetic dog needing daily walks, a cat who prefers quiet companionship, or a senior pet requiring gentle attention, my goal is to give owners complete peace of mind knowing both their pets and home are in responsible, caring hands.

About: I’m a caring and reliable pet sitter with a genuine love for animals of all kinds and ages. As a licensed pharmacist, I have extensive experience safely administering medications — both to pets and humans — and I’m very comfortable following detailed care instructions to make sure your furry family members get exactly the care they need. I’ve had the joy of sharing my life with a wonderful German Shepherd and two rescue cats. Though my current housing situation doesn’t allow me to have pets of my own right now, I still cherish every moment I get to spend with other people’s pets. I especially love active dogs — bonus points if yours is a frisbee enthusiast! You can trust that your pets will receive attentive, compassionate care in a calm and structured environment while you’re away. I work part-time remotely, which gives me the flexibility to provide lots of attentive, one-on-one time with your pets throughout the day. I’m very active and love going on walks, runs, or trips to the park, so I’m a great match for energetic dogs or playful cats. My availability is generally flexible, though it works best if you’re comfortable with my children (ages 9 and 11) joining me during visits if your booking falls on my parenting time (please ask if it’s an issue). I’ve been trusted by many clients — including friends and strangers alike — to care for their beloved pets and homes. I provide daily updates and photos throughout each booking so you can stay connected and feel completely at ease while you’re away.

About: I’ve always had a huge love for all animals. I’m a very active person who can take your doggo for a nice long walk, or spend a night in cuddling and spoiling your special friend! I appreciate open communication and will always do my best to make you feel as comfortable as possible trusting your fur babies with me. :) I work as a caregiver part time while going to school! Most of my classes this year will be online and my caregiving job has flexible hours that are easy to work around! I love being able to visit pets and go for walks throughout the day! :) I like to do meet and greets or phone calls with owners if possible before the initial first walk/night that I take care of a pet. This gives me an idea of your furry friend’s needs and anything I should be aware of. I love getting to know each pet and figuring out creative ways to bond!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
