About: I’m a caring and reliable pet sitter with a genuine love for animals of all kinds and ages. As a licensed pharmacist, I have extensive experience safely administering medications — both to pets and humans — and I’m very comfortable following detailed care instructions to make sure your furry family members get exactly the care they need. I’ve had the joy of sharing my life with a wonderful German Shepherd and two rescue cats. Though my current housing situation doesn’t allow me to have pets of my own right now, I still cherish every moment I get to spend with other people’s pets. I especially love active dogs — bonus points if yours is a frisbee enthusiast! You can trust that your pets will receive attentive, compassionate care in a calm and structured environment while you’re away. I work part-time remotely, which gives me the flexibility to provide lots of attentive, one-on-one time with your pets throughout the day. I’m very active and love going on walks, runs, or trips to the park, so I’m a great match for energetic dogs or playful cats. My availability is generally flexible, though it works best if you’re comfortable with my children (ages 9 and 11) joining me during visits if your booking falls on my parenting time (please ask if it’s an issue). I’ve been trusted by many clients — including friends and strangers alike — to care for their beloved pets and homes. I provide daily updates and photos throughout each booking so you can stay connected and feel completely at ease while you’re away.
“Shelby is a reliable, professional, and all around wonderful dog person who did a great job walking our Berner, Sully. She took him on local adventures in our surrounding area, making sure he got plenty of exercise and stimulation during the full hour. Her love and care for dogs is evident in all her interactions. I highly recommend Shelby!”

About: I have had animals in and around my house all of my life. I love both cats and dogs and have experience with both and many different sizes and breeds. I love animals and consider them a part of my family. I have experience administering pills, syringes, eye drops and most other common at home care for both dogs and cats. Pet care is my main focus. I run a small business from home which allows me full focus and flexibility around your pets needs! I’m very flexible and will ensure to prioritize your pet if we have a booking together. I try to leave any space better than I left it. I’m happy to follow any directions you may have for both your pet(s) or your home. I always double check locked doors, water and food levels as needed prior to leaving. I will make sure your pets are cared for, and you are kept in the loop of any and all things that take place during my time with your pet(s).
About: Lifelong animal lover with experience volunteering at shelters, fostering pets, overnight pet sitting, dog walking, and caring for all kinds of animals since childhood reliably. I'm home from college for the summer and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to caring for pets. Whether it's morning, afternoon, or evening visits, I can provide walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention. I'm excited to spend my summer keeping pets happy, active, and well cared for while their owners are away. I take the time to learn each pet's routine so they feel comfortable, safe, and secure in their own home. I'll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and bedtime to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I'll provide plenty of love, attention, exercise, and companionship while making sure they're always supervised and well cared for. I'll also treat your home with the same respect and care as I would my own. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable, confident, and worry free while you're away.

“David has been an incredible dog walker for my dog Sasha. He is outgoing, fun-loving, and genuinely loves animals. What amazed me most was how quickly Sasha bonded with him — she is usually very shy around strangers, but she connected with David immediately. Now she gets excited every time she sees him! Their walks around the neighborhood are always an adventure, and it’s clear how much David enjoys exploring nature with her. He is kind, funny, dependable, and brings such positive energy to every walk. Watching Sasha so happy and comfortable with him has been wonderful. It truly feels like the perfect match.”

“Emerson has been taking Bella on long walks while I am recovering for surgery. Bella is a very hyper , leash reactive dog. Emerson has been on time and takes her for an hour and a half which tires her out to the max. So greatful for Emerson, and her ability to handle my high maintainenance high energy pup! Note: Bella is not the best on leash, she tends to pull and Emerson is really handling it. She walks Bella three times a week.”

“Elizabeth is wonderful. She did a meet and greet with me first, then on 1st walk she was very attuned to the different needs and personalities of my two pups. I have confidence that they will be well cared for during my upcoming out of town trip, and that they will benefit from her walking them.”

About: My love of and for taking care of animals started at a young age, being partially raised on my grandparent's farm. I grew up with dogs and cats as companions, and that early connection taught me how to listen to them: their moods, their energy, and the quiet ways they communicate what they need. Today I’m a self-employed forest therapy guide in Bend, and that same sense of presence and patience carries into how I care for pets. I love taking dogs on enriching walks where they can explore the world through scent and movement, or simply sitting with an animal and letting them feel safe and at ease. I’ve raised and cared for many different personalities, including a medically needy pug and my current highly anxious border collie rescue, who has taught me a lot about sensitivity, reassurance, and reading subtle cues. I’m especially known among friends as a bit of a “cat whisperer”; even the shy or standoffish cats tend to warm up quickly. Whether your pet is playful, nervous, curious, or independent, I meet them where they are and care for them with gentleness, attentiveness, and respect. My goal is simple: that your pet feels safe, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away. I'm self-employed, working a mix of at-home and guiding outdoor sessions that keep me away for no more than 3 hours at a time. I have plenty of time and flexibility to ensure your furry family is well taken care of! I like to stick to YOUR routine and preferences to keep your pets happy, healthy, and safe. I create a calm and comfortable atmosphere and keep a tidy, respectful environment when staying in your home.
“Kaili does so amazing with our big boy Westley! He’s a sensitive soul and he’s so excited to see her when she arrives for walks, he very much trusts her and has a great time and comes home happy and tired.”

“"I cannot recommend Stacey enough! Leaving your dog with someone else is always a bit nerve-wracking, but Stacey immediately put us at ease. She is very reliable, and treated our dog like her own. We will definitely be rebooking 😊”

About: I have 20+ years of experience caring for dogs, including administering oral medication, walking, bathing, feeding, snuggling and ensuring their overall happiness, comfort, and well-being. Dogs are family! I also have a Furbo camera so I can peek in & give treats when I’m away. I work from home with occasional errands and activities out of the home so your friend will have lots of attention and snuggle time. I'm available for boarding throughout the week and on weekends as well as check-ins & walks with notice. I often take our dog with us for errands and would bring yours with us as well. We go to the dog park and take frequent walks. When your dog is with us, they’re family & I’d love any and all suggestions from you to keep them as comfortable as possible. I have two large courtyards and several grassy areas for potty breaks throughout the day and for shorter walks. The area is unfenced so will be sure to leash your dog, just as we do ours. I have a small friendly dog to keep yours company & a 9-year-old daughter who is super sweet & helpful. Our dog sleeps on the bed and yours would be welcome to do the same however, I'm happy to crate at night if you'd prefer. **Please note, I have an upstairs unit incase that’s an important consideration for either yours or your pup’s mobility.
About: I grew up with a Lakeland Terrier and a Yorkshire Terrier, who taught me both the fun and responsibility of pet care. While I don't currently own a dog, I do actively dog sit for clients, friends, and family. My experience allows me to provide sincere and kind pet care for your dog. I work remotely most days, so I am available to take care of your pet early in the morning, afternoons, evenings, and anytime during weekends. I’ll take care of your pet in your home based upon your guidelines—it’s your home, so I want your pet to have consistency within the practices you’ve established.
About: I have grown up with many dogs and have my own golden retriever puppy at home! I love being outside and would love to take your dog to a park, on a hike, or on a run! I am a first grade teacher so I have the summer off. Looking for something to fill the gap! I can handle dogs of any size, breed and age. I would love to get the opportunity to hang out with your awesome pup! Let me know if I can help! Also happy to host your pup if you think they’d get along with a puppy! I use Rover for my pet rabbit and dog so I would love to be of help to someone else! I am a teacher who has summers off so my schedule is very flexible and I can stay or take care of your dog anytime/as many times a day as you’d like! I would take them out multiple times on long walks to use the bathroom. I would also soak up any time I can get cuddling or spending time with your pet. I will feed them on time!
“Nadia was great! She went above and beyond when I got a last minute job out of town. She was available for two walks the very next day, and was very thoughtful and kind (she gave my pup water as well as her dinner). It was reassuring to see pictures of her on the walk too. Wilma seemed very relaxed and happy when I got home (after I was away all day). We are so grateful for you Nadia! Thank you! I would 100% recommended her in the future .”

About: I have spent most of my life with pups and adore them to bits. I've cared for dogs with special needs, high energy puppies that need lots of play time, and everything in-between. My dog, Oswald, absolutely adores having a buddy around and has shared his toys, beds, and undying friendship with dogs big and small. I have a large, fenced yard for the pups to play and run around in, with a Good Dog wander to satisfy those extra zoomies after my remote work day ends in the early afternoon (M-F). Weekend hikes or lake-side wanders are a few adventure options, but every pup's needs are different and will shape the activities I pick for us to explore. I work from home (M-F) and am very active in my daily life. I have plenty of time throughout my work day to give pups plenty of attention and care, and finish in the early afternoon with plenty of time for an outing. Weekends are spent out and about! I have a pet-friendly home and big fenced yard for the pups to explore, nap, and play. My dog is a lil prince and lives in absolute comfort, and I extend that same love to pups that stay with us.
About: It's was an amazing 16 years taking care of my own dog, and 8 years ago, I was lucky enough to add a cat named Eleanor to our pack when my wife and I moved in together. I would be thrilled to take care of your animals while you are away and give them the attention they deserve. I’m in between jobs right now so I have a lot of time on my hands and I’m looking to pick up extra work while I look for my next role. I love my pets and do whatever to make them feel comfortable and cared for which included carrying my dog up and down the stairs everyday for about a year.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
