About: Hi there!! My name is Melissa. I have cared for animals from the time I could walk. When I became an adult, I worked in veterinary medicine for 15+ years. First I was in reception, and then I had a long veterinary technician career. My genetic and progressive neurological disorder causes my hands to shake, so I’ve had to step away from technical work. I’m currently working at Sunriver Vet Clinic as a receptionist 3 days a week. I’ve done pet sitting in Illinois, and have recently moved to beautiful Sunriver. I’m comfortable with injections, medications, and I’m very familiar with dog and cat care and health problems and concerns. I myself have an 18 year old kitty in mid stage kidney failure and two greyhounds. Poop, pee, vomit, anal glands- nothing phases me. I have also done a lot of feral cat work. If you want a been there, done that pet sitter then that’s me. I’d love to meet your furry family members. I have very flexible part time commitments during the week. I make my own schedule, so I can schedule my commitments around your pet’s needs. I care for your pets exactly the way you want me to. I’m extremely cognizant of pet safety and having worked as a veterinary technician has made me very good at reading pet body language. I can tell if your pet is stressed, needing something, or up to shenanigans and adjust accordingly. 😂

About: I've had a love for animals my whole life & have spent the last 5 years working as a dog groomer. During that time I've cared for dogs ranging from energetic puppies to seniors who need a little extra patience & support. I'm Pet First Aid & CPR certified. I've worked with puppers who have special needs, including allergies, mobility challenges, heart murmurs, brachycephalic breeds, & other health concerns. I've been trained on critical & non critical signs of stress, so I know when things are concerning & always keep pet parents informed. I'm also comfortable handing nervous, reactive, & challenging dogs. I currently work remotely, which gives me a very flexible schedule & allows me to dedicate plenty of time & attention to any pet in my care. Aside from the occasional errand, I'm available to spend most of the day with your pet, keeping them company and maintaining their normal routine. I offer drop in visits overnight, stays and extended care. I'll make sure your pet gets plenty of exercise, enrichment, affection and 1 on 1 time while you're away. While caring for pets, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved, while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. Before each stay, I'd love to learn about your pets, so I can provide personalized care that feels familiar. I'll carefully follow instructions for meals, walks, potty breaks, and any other routine your pet relies on beyond meeting their basic needs. I want their time with me to feel like a vacation. That means extra playtime, enrichment, belly rubs, cuddles, and plenty of 1 on 1 attention. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax, knowing your pet is happy, safe, and having a great time while you're away.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life! Growing up, my family had dogs, cats, chickens, horses and we even had a turtle! Even from a young age, I had a passion for taking care of animals. I’m an active person that loves hiking and neighborhood walks with my very energetic and goofy English Setter. I also have two senior adopted cats that get daily snuggles as well. My husband and I lost our beloved blue heeler a couple of years ago who was our adventure buddy that went everywhere we did! He loved people, but tolerated other dogs and now we have a very sweet and active English Setter that would love to have some friends to play with! I have a fully fenced, half acre property and regularly go on walks with my dog. I also have experience with giving insulin to one of my diabetic senior cats, twice a day. My pets mean everything to me and I’d treat anyone else’s like my own! I currently work part time and love to get out and explore, so I have plenty of time throughout the week and weekend to help with pet care! I have a fully fenced in half acre yard for dogs and a very active dog that would love to have a buddy to play with! I also go on neighborhood walks, feel comfortable with puppies and senior pets.

About: What is it about those dog souls? They capture me, each and every one. I am a Registered Nurse with a heart for all dogs. I have had 3 dogs myself, the last one being a bully breed who taught me a great deal of how to work with dogs who require high management. I understand dog behaviors and idiosyncrasies and enjoy working with different personalities. I work from home so can keep eyes on your pup at most all times. I enjoy breaking up the day with a dog walk or training. I am happy to walk, run, play fetch, work on training or any other request during your pups stay. I enjoy spoiling dogs. But I also practice boundaries and behavioral expectations. My rate includes 2 walks a day and/or other exercise. I also provide a stuffed kong and other chewy toys unless you prefer they don't have ☺️ I am a proponent for dog parents to have a fi or gos collar for their pups. I think it's helpful for you as the owner to know where your pup is and the exercise they are getting as well, in an unfortunate/ unlikely event of getting out we can track them. I work from home so am available at most all times. I also have a half acre fenced yard If possible I'd like to do a meet and greet before sitting. I understand the trust it takes to allow someone to take care of you own pup but also to allow into ones home when you are away. I want to ensure owners are comfortable with my level of care and trust you instill with my service

I’m comfortable with different types of animals and have experience caring not only for dogs and cats, but also horses and chickens.
