About: Hi there!! My name is Melissa. I have cared for animals from the time I could walk. When I became an adult, I worked in veterinary medicine for 15+ years. First I was in reception, and then I had a long veterinary technician career. My genetic and progressive neurological disorder causes my hands to shake, so I’ve had to step away from technical work. I’m currently working at Sunriver Vet Clinic as a receptionist 3 days a week. I’ve done pet sitting in Illinois, and have recently moved to beautiful Sunriver. I’m comfortable with injections, medications, and I’m very familiar with dog and cat care and health problems and concerns. I myself have an 18 year old kitty in mid stage kidney failure and two greyhounds. Poop, pee, vomit, anal glands- nothing phases me. I have also done a lot of feral cat work. If you want a been there, done that pet sitter then that’s me. I’d love to meet your furry family members. I have very flexible part time commitments during the week. I make my own schedule, so I can schedule my commitments around your pet’s needs. I care for your pets exactly the way you want me to. I’m extremely cognizant of pet safety and having worked as a veterinary technician has made me very good at reading pet body language. I can tell if your pet is stressed, needing something, or up to shenanigans and adjust accordingly. 😂

About: I've had animals my entire life, and have glady cared for my friends' pets over the years. From golden retrievers needing exercise while thier dad is at work, to a high-energy puppy needing attention and a place to hang out, a cat with special diet needs and multiple visits per day, and more, I'm looking forward to learning about and with your pet. I am home this summer from a master's degree abroad and have no set commitments and a totally flexible schedule. I'd be happy to bring your dog on walks with my pup and forest jaunts, or take them on their own adventures. In my home, I have an older border collie who loves puppies, but is also able to handle any size and can keep to herself. I also have a small, fearless cat who loves meeting new pups. I typically do one big walk in the day with my pup, with plenty of play and outside time between. If feeding is a challenge, we separate animals during mealtimes to ensure everyone gets their meals. If coming to your home, I'm happy to visit 2-3 times per day as needed, depending on the animal and service (any more frequency can be discussed). I'm also happy to spend time in your home keeping your pet company. With cats especially, respecting boundaries but being nearby can help keep them from getting lonely.

About: I’ve had pets my whole life! Growing up, my family had dogs, cats, chickens, horses and we even had a turtle! Even from a young age, I had a passion for taking care of animals. I’m an active person that loves hiking and neighborhood walks with my very energetic and goofy English Setter. I also have two senior adopted cats that get daily snuggles as well. My husband and I lost our beloved blue heeler a couple of years ago who was our adventure buddy that went everywhere we did! He loved people, but tolerated other dogs and now we have a very sweet and active English Setter that would love to have some friends to play with! I have a fully fenced, half acre property and regularly go on walks with my dog. I also have experience with giving insulin to one of my diabetic senior cats, twice a day. My pets mean everything to me and I’d treat anyone else’s like my own! I currently work part time and love to get out and explore, so I have plenty of time throughout the week and weekend to help with pet care! I have a fully fenced in half acre yard for dogs and a very active dog that would love to have a buddy to play with! I also go on neighborhood walks, feel comfortable with puppies and senior pets.

About: I am an experienced pet and house sitter. It was my first job as a kid and I continue to love it and take excellent care of your pets! I’m moving from Montana and hoping to line up some dog sitting gigs as I settle in to a new city. I travel a lot and am hoping to fill my time at home with dog sitting. About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've worked in the veterinary field since 2001 as a receptionist, veterinary technician, and front office manager, caring for pets with all kinds of personalities and needs. Growing up, both my parents were animal control officers and our home fostered hundreds of animals, so I learned early on how to handle, comfort, and care for pets in many different situations. I work full-time Mondaythrough Thursday but am often flexible for visits before and after work. I'm off Friday through Sunday and available for pet sitting and pet care during those days. I will care for your pet in your home as if they were my own. I understand how important it it is for pets to stay in their familiar environment, so my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I will make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, receive plenty of exercise and playtime, and get lots of attention and affection. About: Grew up around a few different types of dogs, cared for senior dogs and now I have one goofy labradoodle. She's 6 years old, fixed, and gets along with everyone. I'm also open to checking on or feeding any other animals you have, I've been around goats quite a bit, and I own a few ducks and geese myself. We now have over an acre of fully fenced yard for your dog to play on, we even have a kiddie pool for extra hot days. Very open schedule, work from home and make my own hours, so just looking for a side hustle... and I love dogs, so what better way to make an extra few dollars. Our care is best suited for dogs who do well in a real home environment and benefit from consistency, structure, and attentive supervision. We do not operate a kennel or high-volume setup, dogs stay indoors as part of our household and are cared for throughout the day/night. We share our home with our Labrador, Knox, who is friendly, well-socialized, and used to having visiting dogs around. Care Style & Sleeping Arrangements We focus on individualized care and maintaining each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible. Dogs may: Free-roam indoors Sleep in a private bedroom or wherever they sleep at home Use a crate if that’s their preference or requirement We do have crates available. Crates are used intentionally for puppies, dogs with destructive behaviors, or dogs who prefer or require a crate for rest. Owners should let us know their dog’s typical sleeping setup in advance. We share our home with our Labrador, Knox, who is friendly, well-socialized, and used to having visiting dogs around. Our home is open and comfortable, with plenty of space for dogs to relax, settle, and feel at ease. Meet & Greets For most new clients, we require a meet-and-greet prior to booking. This allows everyone, dogs and humans, to make sure it’s a comfortable fit and gives owners a chance to see where their dog will be staying. We’ve found this step is key to maintaining a calm, safe environment and ensuring successful stays. House Sitting & Multi-Pet Care In addition to in-home boarding, we also offer house sitting for dogs who are most comfortable staying in their own environment. We have experience caring for: Dogs and cats Chickens, ducks, and pigs Horses and other farm animals (basic daily care) House sitting is ideal for dogs who do not do well with other dogs or whose households include multiple species. Both of us work from home full-time, so dogs are rarely left alone beyond short errands or the occasional dinner out. Outdoor time is always supervised, and dogs are separated during feeding to ensure safety and comfort. We maintain a calm, predictable daily routine that helps dogs settle in quickly, especially during longer stays. We live on a 2.5-acre property with a designated, fully fenced area for dogs in our care. Our fencing is ranch-style with additional reinforcement, which works well for most dogs but may not be suitable for dogs who routinely escape fencing or jump barriers. Dogs in our care: Stay indoors in our home (no outdoor kennels) Are supervised while outside Are cared for in a low-stress, structured environment We are always happy to leash dogs for potty breaks if that’s what they’re accustomed to or need.Our home is open and comfortable, with plenty of space for dogs to relax, settle, and feel at ease. We’re intentional about the dogs we accept into our home so we can maintain supervision, follow routines accurately, and respond quickly if a dog needs attention. I know that your dog (or cat, or bunny, or hamster - I’ve taken care of them all!) is an important member of the family, and I want to make sure they’re safe and happy, and that you know your pet is in good hands while you’re away. I’ve taken care of puppies, senior dogs, and everything in between, and have done it all - cleaned up messes, administered medication, and clipped nails. I’m self employed and work from home, so I can be with your fur baby 24/7! Needless to say, I love animals, and can’t wait to meet yours! Many pets are more comfortable being in their own home, so I offer house sitting. I make sure to take care of your home like I would my own! About: I have had a dog my entire life and have house sit and cared for others pets since I was 16. My life is dedicated to adventuring and cuddling my dog and ensuring he is the happiest boy. We go to the river trail or good dog almost every day and I'm happy to take your dog to whatever park/place is their favorite to explore, play, and walk. I currently have my one dog in the home and no other pets. He is extremely friendly and loves playing with dogs of all sizes so he would be more than happy to share his bed (my queen-size bed) for a couple of nights. We're happy to do whatever makes your doggy happy! The days I work change based on the week but at the moment I'm working very short shifts about two days a week in the evening, so I have plenty of time to walk, play, and care for dogs. I have one extremely friendly dog who loves doggies of all kinds. We have a good-sized house with a big fenced back yard. My dog curls up on the couch and bed. My neighborhood is really quiet and calm and the river trail is a two min walk away from my front door, so we go to the river trail or good dog daily.
