Lizzy knocked it out of the park caring for our two energetic pups! Not only was she great on walks with them, but she also stepped up to do some drop in visits when our roommates left town. 10/10 would recommend Lizzy!

About: I am a sister of two Pomeranians back in Brazil, so I truly understand the responsibility, love, and attention that pets need every single day. Caring for my own dogs has given me hands-on experience with small breeds, their personalities, and routines. I have also cared for my friend’s Yorkshire Terrier multiple times, including overnight stays. I am comfortable with feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and making sure pets feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they were my own, with love, patience, affection, and full attention. I am responsible, trustworthy, and happy to provide updates and photos for peace of mind. During the week, I work full-time as a nanny, and I’m fully available for pet sitting on Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays. I’m happy to provide dedicated, focused care during those days. I may also be available for select weekday bookings with advance notice, feel free to message me to discuss! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine to reduce stress and keep them comfortable. I follow all feeding schedules, potty breaks, walk routines, and any specific care instructions closely. — I’m a rule follower. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and playtime, while also respecting their individual personalities and needs. Cleanliness and safety are very important to me. I keep the home tidy and ensure pets are always in a secure environment. As a dog sister to two Pomeranians, I understand how important communication is, so I provide regular updates and photos to give owners peace of mind while they’re away.

Megan is great. She scheduled a meet and greet with me and the pups. Very prompt and paid attention to details I shared. We scheduled a walk as well as drop ins for an upcoming trip I have. She is quick and consistent with communication, and clear on instructions. The pups look forward to seeing her again.

About: I grew up with cats and dogs. I am comfortable with a wide variety of breeds and their needs. I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs. I genuinely love animals, and taking care of them has always been a passion of mine. I have nearly a year of full-time experience working in a doggy daycare environment. During this time, I developed a strong ability to read canine body language and communication, manage group dynamics, and respond appropriately to a wide range of temperaments and energy levels. I strive to keep educating my self so I can continuously improve my skills in taking care of animals. I am able to create my own schedule. I would be able to accommodate your pet or pet’s, with routine walks, breaks and check in. I take care of any animal as if they were my own. My priority is to make all animals and humans involved comfortable. My clients homes are treated with respect and I always pick up after my self. I genuinely love being around animals and spending time with them. I strive to gain and maintain trust with my clients and their fur babies.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was 10 years old, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I have a dog of my own that I trained myself, and I’ve cared for pets of all ages, breeds, and personalities. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or has special needs, I’m happy to tailor my care to what makes them feel most comfortable. If your dog enjoys having a playmate, mine would love to join them for walks or playtime (with your approval, of course!). I’m a flight attendant, so pet sitting is the perfect way for me to spend my time when I’m home. I’m typically home about half of each month, and during those days I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets plenty of attention and work around their normal routine. I have experience caring for pets both in my home and in their own, although I generally prefer caring for them in their familiar environment whenever possible. I can administer basic care, crate pets if needed, provide walks, playtime, enrichment, and even trips to the park if that’s something they enjoy. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away, so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I am a flight attendant so this is a great job for when I am not flying which is normally about half the month. When I am home I have practically uninterrupted time so I can work around what kind of care you are needing. I am very familiar with watching dogs in their own home and my own but would prefer it be in their own home. I can crate them if needed, walk, play, and or take them to the park if they enjoy that.

About: We have both been around and owned dogs since we were kids. I worked in a vet clinic from the time I was 14 all throughout high school. I also worked with a dog groomer for a few summers. I am an Animal Behavior College certified Dog Trainer as well as a wildlife biologist. Let's just say I love animals!! We are cat lovers too and would be more than happy to care for them also! We would provide the same level care for your pets as you do. We like to treat them like a member of our family and hope that they enjoy their time with us so much that they hardly know you are away. We know it is an honor and a privilege to be trusted with caring for your fury family member and we take that seriously and strive to never disappoint. I currently work from home for my main career as a Spatial Data Analyst (wildlife related). Your pet would have someone around aside from the occasional trip to the store or other errand. I will always communicate openly about my schedule during your visit so you are aware of any times I may have to be out of the house. I have a large fenced backyard and a 4-year-old Great Dane to keep your dog company! Thus, for stays in my home your dog must be dog-friendly, non-aggressive, and not afraid of large breeds. I also have four cats. I do have a doggie gate that keeps the cats separated, but one of them can jump the gate as she likes to sit on top of the kitchen cupboards and observe. Aaron and I have two sons, ages 7 and 10. They both have been around dogs their entire lives and are very used to respecting their space and letting dogs warm up to them. With that said, they are still kids. So for stays in our home, your dog will have to be good with other dogs, young kids, and cats. For stays in your home, your dog ideally will be okay with kids but my kids don't always need to come with depending on the dates of the stay.

About: Hi, I’m Suzy! I recently moved to Bend from NYC and I’d love to continue pet sitting on the West coast! I recently took a sabbatical from work after 10+ years with the same company to do some self-care, spend more time outdoors and pursue a career change. I don’t have a pet, but my most recent roommate for 2+ years had a dog (pictured in my profile) and I have experience pet sitting other dogs as well for 10+ years. My roommate frequently left me with her dog when she traveled, etc. I’m happy to provide her contact information and / or connect for a video chat / meet and greet prior to accepting my application! I also have provided care for a number of other dogs (16+) through Rover and friends over the last 5 years. I love all pups! Please reach out with any questions. I look forward to meeting you and your wonderful pets! I’m currently at home most of the time and don’t have any upcoming travel! I can also travel to you within Bend / stay at your place if preferred. My schedule is flexible so happy to accept last minute sits. I usually like to do a meet and greet to get familiar with my client’s home or ensure your pet feels comfortable in my home and to learn about any specific care instructions. I make sure to take notes about any guidelines and am mindful about following the specific rules and routine that someone sets in their home.

About: It is all about having peace of mind! I am hoping that by offering my services, I can give pet owners a sense of security while they are away and their dogs are left alone. I wish I could have more dogs personally myself, but I have a 2 year old Beagle who I raised from 7 weeks old. He is the love of my life and he has taught me so much more than I could have ever taught him! By offering services on Rover I am looking to help people out who have suffered the same anxiety about leaving their dog at home like I used to. I know first hand what it's like to wonder what your dog is doing while you are away! I would love to help you and your dog by checking in on them and having my dog play with them as well!

About: I’ve lived with or taken care of dogs of all sizes, breeds, personalities, and needs my entire life! Have a high energy and chaotic fur baby? It’s a good thing I love walks and playing! Got a more relaxed and calm dog? We can go to the park and read a nice book together! I am a recently graduated college student waiting to start my Masters program so my days are vastly open! I would love to fill my days with your animals and helping out where I can! I am attentive to all animals and carefully read all care instructions left by owners. I am also very careful with the weather conditions as animals are more susceptible to heat and cold then we are!

About: I have cared for many animals. I have 3 children and we always had a family pet. They are now grown and have pets of their own. I have been in a bind before and had to use Rover for my own animal, and it was a lifesaver. I am hoping I can help you out too! I am currently a housewife with open availability! Its just me and my little shih tzu. Plenty of time for walks and play while your away! We live in a gated community near Mountain View, which is perfect for walks as well as having a fenced yard for play time. I do allow my dog on my bed, and try and keep him off the couch, but doesn't always work. Lol

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 833 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Alfalfa. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Alfalfa. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Alfalfa.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alfalfa. On Rover:

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
