About: What is it about those dog souls? They capture me, each and every one. I am a Registered Nurse with a heart for all dogs. I have had 3 dogs myself, the last one being a bully breed who taught me a great deal of how to work with dogs who require high management. I understand dog behaviors and idiosyncrasies and enjoy working with different personalities. I work from home so can keep eyes on your pup at most all times. I enjoy breaking up the day with a dog walk or training. I am happy to walk, run, play fetch, work on training or any other request during your pups stay. I enjoy spoiling dogs. But I also practice boundaries and behavioral expectations. My rate includes 2 walks a day and/or other exercise. I also provide a stuffed kong and other chewy toys unless you prefer they don't have ☺️ I am a proponent for dog parents to have a fi or gos collar for their pups. I think it's helpful for you as the owner to know where your pup is and the exercise they are getting as well, in an unfortunate/ unlikely event of getting out we can track them. I work from home so am available at most all times. I also have a half acre fenced yard If possible I'd like to do a meet and greet before sitting. I understand the trust it takes to allow someone to take care of you own pup but also to allow into ones home when you are away. I want to ensure owners are comfortable with my level of care and trust you instill with my service
“It gave me peace of mind to have Leah come visit with our young puppy and take him out while we did a river float. Leah sent several photos of her time with our puppy, who was obviously having a great time with her. We will definitely be scheduling more visits with Leah whenever we need to be gone from our house for extended periods to ski, float, etc.”

“Layne is always amazing and dependable. He also gives the best updates and sends the best photos. I always feel comfortable leaving knowing our "kids" are in the best of hands.”

“Melissa was amazing with our cat, who is slow to trust strangers. Her experience with animals realy shows - she went above and beyond to earn his trust with patience and care—no easy feat! She truly did give him her full attention. Her thoughtful updates gave us peace of mind, and we came home to a happy, relaxed cat. Highly recommend!”

“This was our first time using Rover. Arianna was very responsive to initial request and made a pre-visit meet and greet. She visited daily as requested and sent pictures of our kitties. We would 100% recommend Arianna and will request her again.”

I grew up with small dogs who are now seniors, but I have spent a lot of time with friends'and family members' dogs of all sizes and ages. I have pet sit for family friends in the past and enjoy getting to spend time with their dogs, too I am a full time undergrad student, but half of my classes are online so I am free to pet sit most of the week! I am only busy with in-person classes Tuesday and Thursday, between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. About: • Caring for pets and homes since I was 15 (friends, family, and repeat clients) • Experienced with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities • Comfortable caring for senior pets and administering medications • Patient with shy, anxious, or nervous pets—I let them warm up at their own pace, and somehow the shy cats usually decide we're friends. • Happy to provide walks, playtime, enrichment, cuddles, or simply quiet companionship, depending on what your pet enjoys • Proud cat parent to three cats, so I fully understand that we exist to serve Their Royal Highnesses • No breed restrictions—every dog deserves love, belly rubs, and good care • Respectful, clean, and reliable while staying in your home; happy to bring in mail, water plants, and help keep everything just as you left it • I know routines matter, so I do my best to keep your pets comfortable by sticking to their normal schedule as closely as possible I genuinely love getting to know each pet's unique personality. My goal is simple: for you to come home to happy pets, a well-cared-for home, and complete peace of mind while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home and have a flexible schedule. That flexibility allows me to be present throughout the day and plan my schedule around your pet's needs instead of the other way around. I'm available for overnight stays and genuinely enjoy spending time with the pets I'm caring for. Whether it's morning walks, afternoon play sessions, sticking to medication schedules, or simply providing companionship, I love making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. Because I already spend much of my day at home, I don't like leaving pets alone for long periods whenever I can avoid it. My goal is to give them plenty of attention, keep their routine consistent, and make your time away as stress-free as possible for both of you. I believe every pet deserves individualized care because no two animals are exactly alike. Before each booking, I take the time to learn your pet's routine, personality, favorite activities, medical needs, and anything else that helps them feel safe and comfortable. I'm experienced caring for puppies, senior pets, multi-pet households, and administering medications. I'm also happy to care for cats, dogs, fish, chickens, and other small livestock or farm animals, including feeding horses and goats. When I'm in your home, I treat it with the same respect and care I would my own. I'll carefully follow your instructions, keep your pets on their normal routine, double-check doors and gates, and keep you updated with messages and photos so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. Whether your pet wants to play nonstop, explore on a walk, nap on the couch, or quietly observe me from across the room, I'm happy to meet them where they are and earn their trust at their own pace.
About: With 25 years of experience working with animals, including 20 years dedicated to animal welfare, I bring a lifetime of knowledge, compassion, and hands-on experience to caring for your pets. I have extensive experience working with fearful and anxious animals and am certified as a Fear Free Handler. I understand that every pet is different, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. My experience goes beyond cats and dogs. I’m also comfortable caring for exotic pets, including reptiles and birds, and understand that these animals often have very specific routines and care requirements. I’m highly experienced in administering medications, including injectable, oral, ear, and eye medications. You can feel confident knowing that your pet’s routine and medical needs will be handled with the same care and attention you would provide yourself. I also understand that taking care of your home while you’re away can be just as important as caring for your pets. Houseplant care is available, so you can come home to happy, healthy plants along with happy, well-cared-for pets. Most importantly, I know how much your pets mean to you—because my pets are my world, too. Nothing means more to me than giving your pets the love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing they are safe, happy, and in loving hands. I do work full-time for an animal welfare organization, but caring for animals is more than just my job—it’s what I love. Your pets will always be a priority when they’re in my care. I’m able to schedule drop-in visits before and after my workday, as well as on my days off. I’m committed to working with you to find a schedule that fits your pet’s needs and routine. My goal is to make sure your pets receive the attention, care, and companionship they need while you’re away, giving you peace of mind that they’re in good hands. The safety and well-being of your pets is always my top priority. Whether I’m caring for an animal in my home or visiting your home, I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and respect. I understand that every animal is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and comfort levels so they feel safe and cared for. Caring for animals is something I’m deeply passionate about. I truly love every interaction I have with an animal—even if that interaction is simply sitting nearby and talking to them. I believe those little moments matter. Nothing brings me more joy than being surrounded by animals and having the opportunity to care for them. When your pets are in my care, I want them to feel comfortable, loved, and secure, while you have peace of mind knowing they’re being treated like family.
“Beatriz was amazing with my shy, older dog. It was clear from the first drop in that she took the time to let my dog acclimate, and by visit 2 they were playing fetch in the yard. Also very professional with communication and punctual. Definitely would recommend!”

“Madison was awesome and took great care of my two timid cats! They can take a while to warm up to new people, but they actually came out of hiding to say hello and hang out with her on the second day! I’m super grateful for her help and will definitely be requesting her help with the kitties again in the future.”

“Jake is an older dog and as such is slowing down. When Allyson realized that Jake was in pain fetching, which he would do until he dropped, she changed the activity to be a little easier on him. She was in communication with me all the time and handled everything well.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
