“Samantha has watched our two kitties a handful of times now. She takes great care of their needs and they are always stoked to see her. I would reccomend Samantha for your kitty sitting needs any time!”

“Kim is the absolute best! She’s so reliable, and always takes great pictures and provides updates. She came very last minute when my wife’s water broke and took care of our kitty so it was one less thing to worry about. Would recommend to anyone with pets!”

“Ciera was a fantastic sitter! We felt comfortable leaving the kitties for the weekend as she uploaded photos and made sure all their needs were met. She communicated with us throughout the trip which was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be booking with Ciera again!”

“We had a great experience with Summer checking in on our two labs, Gracie and Mocha. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about our dogs’ well-being. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our girls were being looked after while we were at work. The girls were happy and well cared for, and we really appreciated the pics, texts, and more importantly, the attention they received during the visit. It’s clear Summer loves dogs and truly cares for their happiness. We would absolutely recommend Summer to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!!!”

About: I have been taking care of my neighbors, dogs, and cats throughout my life. Care has ranged from dropping by just to make sure the food and water bowl is still full to staying overnight and going on multiple walks a day. I have a vehicle that can transport animals in if you do not have a walkable neighborhood or would prefer your pet to go out on a trail. From puppies to senior dogs, cats, reptiles, and even fish- I’m happy to help take care of your furry/feathered/slimy family members! I am happy to house sit during the work week and can take care of animals before and after work hours. With 3 day weekends, I have more flexibility to stop by in the middle of the day or several times a day! Saftey is at the forefront of my mind I want to be very mindful of the environment, most importantly people and other animals. I also assume responsibility if there is some sort of mess created by your animals I am happy to clean that up.
“Our cats were well cared for and we appreciated the photo updates and responsiveness. They seemed comfortable and at ease when I returned. Would happily work with Annabelle again.”

About: I am a former veterinary assistant with 13 years of experience caring for pets of all ages. I am experienced with puppies, senior pets, and dogs with special needs, and I provide compassionate, reliable care with your pet's comfort and safety as my top priority. I am currently taking some time away from veterinary medicine, which gives me a flexible schedule to help pet owners who need dependable daytime care. Whether your pet needs a midday walk, a drop in visit, some playtime in the yard, or extra attention while you're at work, I would love to help keep them happy, active, and cared for throughout the day. Safety is my biggest priority and something I take very seriously with my own dogs. I'm extremely detail oriented and attentive, always paying close attention to my surroundings, leash security, gates, doors, and anything that could affect your pet's safety and wellbeing. I treat every pet as if they were my own.
“Kelly is an absolute animal lover and clearly enjoys tending to our furry loves ones, Bella and Brutus. She has done an extended home sit for us as well as drop-in visits - both at an exceptional high level of quality care. With two senior kitties that both require medication, it’s a relief having someone like Kelly to trust their care to.”

“She took excellent care of my dogs and was so flexible when I had changes come up with my booking. She was kind, genuine, and followed my instructions of how best to care for my pups! I would definitely book with her again!”

About: I have taken care of animals for my entire life. I had family dogs, cats, and lizards. Once I went to college, I watched dogs and cats when I was not in class. I volunteered at animals shelters and assisted in the clinic. I recently moved to Oregon and rescued two perfect fur babies of my own. There is no animal too big or small. I would love to spoil your fur babies and treat them like my own! I am working a full time job Monday-Friday 8-5. I am free to do drop in visits in the afternoon after work. I am available most weekends as well. I have two cats in my apartment. They are currently indoor only cats and will not be able to bring pets here unfortunately. I love to take dogs/cats on walks or play with them in the yard depending on your preference. I can do drop ins or home stays if needed! I will make sure all the fur babies are spoiled while in my care.
“Megan is awesome! She is very attentive to details and excellent in her communication. She sent pics and thoughtful notes with each visit she made while I was traveling. Beyond that my pups loved all the attention and play time she gave them.”

About: I have 10+ years of experience with pet sitting. I grew up living with dogs my whole life and I now own a cat. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, and care for their furry friends. Since I work from home I have the flexibility to provide your furry friend with the best care! I am available all week days and some weekends. I am available for dog walking where I come to your home to pick up your pet, available for house sitting at my home and available for drop ins during the day.
About: I’ve lived with or taken care of dogs of all sizes, breeds, personalities, and needs my entire life! Have a high energy and chaotic fur baby? It’s a good thing I love walks and playing! Got a more relaxed and calm dog? We can go to the park and read a nice book together! I am a recently graduated college student waiting to start my Masters program so my days are vastly open! I would love to fill my days with your animals and helping out where I can! I am attentive to all animals and carefully read all care instructions left by owners. I am also very careful with the weather conditions as animals are more susceptible to heat and cold then we are!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Redmond
We were staying with friends in town and needed a last minute dog sitter. Spencer was wonderful to help us out while we went out on hike. She was professional and courteous. She came and checked on our Murphy, took him out and played with him. We were thankful for finding someone at the last minute.

Ciera was prompt, helpful, and a huge help to me this past weekend when I went out of town. My cat took to her very well - better than she has with anyone before. It was a great relief to me to know my cat was looked after just as I had requested, and I really appreciated getting a photo or two each visit to check in. I will certainly try to rebook her for my next trip. Would recommend.
Maddie did a great job watching our cats, Herschel and El Rancho. She communicated well throughout her visits, showed up when scheduled, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. We appreciated knowing our cats were in good hands and would gladly use her again!

I am so glad I found Rachel while looking for a new drop-in visit/dog walker! With working 12 hour shifts, I’m ultimately away from my dog and cat for 14 hours including drive times on occasion and was frantically trying to find someone trustworthy that my pets also liked for visits to break up their long stretches alone. Rachel followed our somewhat crazy instructions perfectly, walked our dog, kept our cat happy, and provided lots of updates and communication. I look forward to booking with her again!

Lisa was great with Hux and I would trust her again to watch the doggo. Good communication while I was gone and prompt with her visits; Hux was walked/taken to the dog park as requested and seemed to enjoy her company. Lisa even watered the flowers and cleaned the yard of waste. Overall, a good experience.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
