About: I was a volunteer at the Oregon Humane Society (OHS) for six years, caring for dogs, cats, and small animals. I now work as an Animal Care Technician at an animal Shelter. My experience goes beyond feeding and walking animals—I’ve been trained in animal wellbeing, calm handling, basic behavioral training, basic grooming, introducing new dogs to other dogs, playgroups, pack walks, and leadership. I can also administer some medications if needed as well. At OHS, I served as a team lead, led tours, ran camps, trained new volunteers, and even taught a few classes. I hold a FearFree Animal Wellbeing Certification, a Breaking Up A Dog Fight Certification, and I have completed numerous training courses, and earned multiple certifications and achievements through OHS. I’m organized, dependable, and experienced, ensuring every pet in my care is safe, happy, and well-loved. Some fun animal facts about me: I’ve ridden a camel, petted a shark, and used to ride horses! Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is my passion. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets, and I look forward to giving them the love, attention, and care they deserve! I live and work in Redmond, with a set schedule. I will always have time for animals! I am flexible with when I am available. I have dog sat, cat sat, small animal sat, and house sat in many different homes and environments. I am flexible and easy to work with. However you like things done, I will do my very best to follow and keep it the same. My main concern is your pet's well-being and happiness!
“Kim is always willing to help me out in a pinch, and sends the absolute best updates and pictures/videos! She was scheduled for one drop in visit, but when my plans changed last minute she was more than willing to schedule a second one very last minute. My pup always seems to have so much fun with Kim. I truly can’t say enough good things about her and I plan to continue reaching out to her anytime I need someone to watch my girl.”

“Caitlin was great with our Retriever. She took her for a great walk and sent photos. She was very easy to work with on the details of our house and our dog. I highly recommend her for your sitting needs! Pam”

“Payten did a fabulous job taking care of my animals! I've got two cats and a very needy dog that were looked after twice a day. She was always timely and responsible and provided lovely pics with a concise but friendly message. I would definitely consider booking with Payten in the future.”

“I thought Meg was great. She listened to what I had to say and my requests. She took the time to meet the cats. I felt confident in her kindness and professionalism to leave me cats. She was very prompt in letting e know she was feeding them. I appreciated the pictures. I would highly recommend her and would use her again. Thanks so much Meg”

“We had a great experience with Ciera! She is very obviously a dog lover and has a calm and confident demeanor, which is exactly what we were hoping to find. I really appreciate how patient Ciera has been with our anxious pup. She is also highly responsive and communicative, and was flexible with adjusting the time of the visit when we had a change of plans.”

“Nothing but good things to say about sweet Britney. She obviously loves cats (has 3 of her own). She was prompt, followed my instructions, always took pictures of my cat. My cat was happy and content while we were gone for 5 days. I will be calling on Britney again this summer to care for my cat.”

About: Hi I’m Dafne! I’m originally from Seattle and new to the Bend area. I’ve been dog sitting/walking for about 15 years now. Working with dogs, cats, etc. has always been my ideal side gig, and I hope to turn it into a full time career one day. With your permission I take your pet(s) on outings to local parks, lakes, and trail systems. Having pets of my own and having had personal experience with a dog with aggression issues, I’ve learned how to get on “their level” so to speak. I have experience in dog/house sitting multiple pets, for weeks at a time. I have experience walking 4+ dogs at a time. References are available upon request, please don't hesitate to ask about anything! I currently WFH part time, which means I have fairly open availability to walk and or care for your pet(s). Walks with me are 45-60 minutes, and I am also available for daily check ins. At this time I am NOT offering boarding services in my own home. However, I am able to transport your pet for walks or even rides to where they need to be.
About: I have been raised taking care of all sorts of animals and critters. I total my 8 years of experience based on the cats I have raised, just in my adult life. They are happy and very well taken care of, just as I have been taught in my youth. I just hope to provide the same care I give my own, to yours. I am typically free all day Wednesday through Friday and every other Saturday. During my work week, I usually get two short breaks throughout the day. My cats were raised in my home since birth. They are litter trained and have a balanced diet appropriate for each. I care for other pets the way I am asked to by the pet parent.
“Annabelle is exemplary! Caring, diligent, professional, friendly, and outstanding! Her warmth and care for my animals went beyond expectations and allowed me to enjoy my trip worry free! I will definitely have Annabelle take care of my pets during future trips. I’m so grateful and appreciative!”

About: I grew up on a farm, and have had a huge love of animals, particularly dogs since I can remember. I meet new animals almost daily, and most people are surprised by how quickly their animal warms up to me. I am my friends go to house/pet sitter and they fully trust me in providing great care for their fur babies. I recently transitioned from a high demand job to a primarily remote work long job. This allows me to spend quality time with your animals, and be present for walks, bathroom breaks, and extra love. I get to know the animal and what is going to best meet their needs and will cater to the animal and owner. Depending on the pet, I can hang out and snuggle or go for walks, to the dog park, or just simply engage them in your yard.

Our pets are a member of the family and that is how I will treat them. I take this seriously and also take pride in seeing an animal excited to see me!
“Kay was fantastic! We have an aloof senior dog and have been nervous about leaving him alone with someone he didn't know. Kay did a great job immediately with him and during her visits. She was was also incredibly reliable, giving him his medications when needed. Thanks so much for allowing us to have a relaxing vacation!”

About: I have worked at stables, vet clinics and volunteered with rescues. I'm a "human" Nurse, but my skill set transfers easily to animals. Care, patience and tons of love. I am capable of administering medications, and skilled at special needs for dogs. I work M-Th 6-4. I am available for overnight stays, primarily on weekends! Overnights on weekdays are for animals that can be home alone during my work hours. I have lots of energy to engage and play! I do need to be able to leave periodically to check on my doggo at my own home and go out to eat, so no separation anxiety pets please. I have an escape artist dog at home. My senses are keen. I am always aware and would be the same for your pet/pets at your home. A watchful eye!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
