“Kevin is excellent and would highly recommend him. He is very comfortable and caring with animals and clearly enjoys being around them. His report cards are very thorough. Recently Kevin watched our cats and we had a last minute medical situation that involved giving one cat eyedrops. Kevin handled it smoothly and I felt good knowing that he was caring for our cats.”

About: Hi! I have had dogs all my life and have a lot of experience caring for them. I currently work from home and take my personal dog on 2-3 walks/day and would love to either include your dog on a walk or take them separately. She is good around the majority of dogs but I can walk your dog separately with absolutely no issues! I am always highly aware on walks and carry pepper spray for humans and other dogs. I know what to do when attacked by another dog and how to keep your dog safe. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule to take your pups on a walk in the park. I live in the NW part of town. I can easily walk your dog from your home or load them up in my car for a bigger adventure to a park and more!

About: I am very active and will walk dogs, play fetch, and can take them on runs. If needed, I will wash the dogs after activities to ensure everything will stay clean in the home. I am organized and will keep the dogs on schedule for meals and potty breaks. My father bred labs for my entire life and my experience with taking care of animals goes way back to my childhood! I work remote, and have a pretty flexible schedule. That being said, I can tend to the dogs as need be and bring them on walks as well. I grew up with lots of different types of dogs from toy yorkie to shepherds and I have experience with all sizes and breeds of dogs.

About: I’m a responsible, attentive, and patient sitter who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals. Having a dog of my own has taught me how important it is to understand each pet’s personality, respect their needs, and make sure they get plenty of attention and care. I’m happy to adapt to different energy levels, whether that means long walks, playtime, or a more relaxed day with lots of companionship. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable and cared for while giving their owners peace of mind knowing their pets are in good hands. I get off work at 3:30… sometimes even earlier! I’d love to come hangout with your pet afterwards, I am free on weekends all hours. I provide loving, attentive care and make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I love giving pets plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while respecting their individual personalities and needs. I want owners to feel confident that their furry family members are in good hands. I’m also happy to send regular photo updates so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away! 🐾

About: 🐾 NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS 🐾 Premium 1-on-1 overnight care, midday drop-ins, and private walks tailored entirely to your small dog's routine. ☀️ Daytime Availability: Monday through Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM, for dedicated dog walking and drop-in visits. 🏡 Overnight Care: Around-the-clock pet sitting hosted right inside your own home, so your baby stays safe, stress-free, and fully cared for while you travel. 🛡️ Fully insured and bonded for your peace of mind. 💛 For twelve years, I cared for my own little Pomeranian, Zo, twelve pounds of pure love. I cooked his meals, bathed him, groomed his coat, and gave him endless cuddles. As he grew older, I learned to care for him as a senior dog too, keeping up with his medication schedule and slowing our walks to match what his body needed. That season of my life taught me patience, gentleness, and compassion, and how to truly listen to what a small dog needs, even when they can't tell you in words. 🐶 I care for small dogs 20 lbs and under because I understand them in a way that only comes from years of loving one. When you leave your pup with me, I want you to feel confident they're somewhere warm, safe, and loved exactly like family. I respond quickly and keep my scheduling flexible, because I know how much it matters to reach your sitter when you need to. 🩺 For extra safety and peace of mind, I am Pet CPR & First Aid certified. ✨ Your little one deserves someone they can trust, someone who makes them feel safe and loved. Message me today to book a virtual meet and greet, where we'll talk through your pup's routine and needs before we meet in person. 🐾 Pet care is my business, and it's where I put my time and heart. My days tend to start slow and unrushed, which means when I'm with your pup, I'm fully present, not rushing or squeezing them into a chaotic day. This is especially true for overnight stays. When I'm caring for your pup overnight in the comfort of your own home, they're not one of many, they're the priority of my day and night. I like to get a workout in and enjoy the day at my own pace, but that time is built around your pup's routine, not the other way around. Since this is my main focus, I'm able to be flexible and responsive to what you and your pup need. Whether I'm there for a quick drop-in, a walk, or an overnight stay, your home and your pup's safety come first, every time. I treat your space with the same care and respect I'd want in my own home; doors and gates stay secure, your pup's routine stays consistent, and nothing about your home is disrupted while you're away. For walks and drop-ins, I follow the schedule and instructions you give me closely, feeding times, potty breaks, medication, and any little quirks your pup has. I always double-check leashes and gates before heading out, since small dogs can be quick, and I never let my guard down on a walk. For overnight stays, I settle in gently and keep things calm and familiar for your pup, sticking to their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel secure even with you away. I'm happy to help with oral medications and topical treatments, following any care instructions you provide closely. At this time, I'm not able to administer injectable medications. I am fully insured and bonded, as well as CPR & Pet First Aid certified, so if anything unexpected comes up, I'm prepared to handle it calmly. You'll always know your pup is safe, cared for, and loved like family, in the place they feel most comfortable: home.

About: I've been around dogs my whole life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I've dog sat for families for weeks at a time, trained puppies, and I'm currently the proud parent of a senior dog, so I know how to give extra patience and gentle care to pups of every age. Whether your dog needs a steady routine, medication reminders, or just lots of love, I'll treat them like my own. You can count on me to be patient, reliable, and attentive from the first day to the last. I work part time, I have plenty of time to give your dog the attention they deserve, whether that means cuddles on the couch, a steady routine, or long walks outdoors, which I love just as much as they do. I have a fully fenced in yard and lots of space to sniff and explore, my house is a great place for pups. If it’s preferred that I go to your house, I am happy to as well!

Lumpy can be a bit hesitant with new people and she approached him slowly and kindly. He warmed up to her real fast! She is communicative and flexible and couldn’t recommend enough!! Even though Amanda is working a difficult schedule these days, she was able to visit with George and take care of him as promised, including pictures taken during her visit. We're hoping Amanda will be able to get to know George better as she visits with him in the future and he becomes more comfortable with her. He is a tough nut to crack!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
