“Shelby is FABULOUS! She provides loving and attentive care, consistent communication, good photos each visit, and goes above and beyond to meet the needs of my pups. Her attention to detail and willingness to adapt are a bonus. She is not only kind and warm, but also a genuinely wonderful human. I will definitely use her again if our schedules allow.”

“Kevin is excellent and would highly recommend him. He is very comfortable and caring with animals and clearly enjoys being around them. His report cards are very thorough. Recently Kevin watched our cats and we had a last minute medical situation that involved giving one cat eyedrops. Kevin handled it smoothly and I felt good knowing that he was caring for our cats.”

“Megan is awesome! She is very attentive to details and excellent in her communication. She sent pics and thoughtful notes with each visit she made while I was traveling. Beyond that my pups loved all the attention and play time she gave them.”

“We appreciate Abbey's great care of our two cats when we travelled. She's reliable, caring, thorough and gives our guys the attention they need. Manages medication and keeps a good eye on the house. Thanks Abbey.”

“Leslie did a great job taking care of my cat, Luna, while I was out of town for a week. She sent detailed updates with photos and videos and went above and beyond to make sure things were taken care of. Highly recommend!”

About: The first time I left my fur baby with a sitter, I was a nervous wreck. So I get it! I know that your dog (or cat, or bunny, or hamster - I’ve taken care of them all!) is an important member of the family, and I want to make sure they’re safe and happy, and that you know your pet is in good hands while you’re away. I’ve taken care of puppies, senior dogs, and everything in between, and have done it all - cleaned up messes, administered medication, and clipped nails. I’m self employed and work from home, so I can be with your fur baby 24/7! Needless to say, I love animals, and can’t wait to meet yours! I’m self employed and work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule, and can be with your fur baby 24/7! I’ll work around your dog’s schedule. Many pets are more comfortable being in their own home, so I offer house sitting. I make sure to take care of your home like I would my own! I’m also happy to water any plants, put out garbage cans, and anything else you might need.

“We love Aaron! He goes the extra mile with our cats who are always so happy and relaxed after he has cared for them. On his last visit he noticed the laser pen batteries were low so he replaced them so that the cats didn’t miss out on their play time. And Aaron always keeps us updated with how the cats are doing. He’s the best pet sitter!”

“Brooke did a great job juggling the needs of two 18-year old cats and their meds for four days. She was prompt, a great communicator and my kitties seemed relaxed and happy when i returned home to them. High marks!”

“Jen was great! She watched our cats for a week and In every video and picture she took of our cats while we were away it was obvious they were happy to see her and having fun!”

“Fleur was fantastic! It’s obvious she cares about animals so much and took great care of Fred. Shes very communicative, reliable and went above and beyond. She eased my mind while I was away.”

“Caroline was absolutely wonderful! She was extremely communicative and provided many photos while we were traveling. I felt like our cat was in good hands. Plus, she was a lovely human all around!!! I would highly, highly recommend using Caroline to take care of your animal. (We will definitely be reaching out next time we travel!) Thank you, Caroline!”

“Madison clearly loves cats and did a great job of taking care of mine for a week. Madison even watered my plant, which I forgot to ask her to do. Definitely went above and beyond!”

“Fantastic experience! I was in a time crunch and Erika quickly went over to my home to take care of Kobe. She sent a photo of him and was able to reassure me that he was in good hands. Highly recommend!”

About: I have had dogs in my life since I was born. I work in Downtown Bend and can frequently check in! I have a proven track record of being responsible and reliable for all different types of dogs. I will be available mostly weeknights after 5pm and weekends! I work in Downtown Bend so I can stop by for potty breaks and have plenty of time to play after work! I am always sure to get the dogs energy out! My apartment has a nice dog area and I can take them on long walks as well! My own dogs are not currently living with me so there will be no other dogs present at my apartment.
“Elaine was wonderful with our Moose!! The perfect amount of communication - we loved all the photos and updates. It’s clear Moose was well cared for! We’ll certainly book Elaine in the future :) thanks so much!!”

About: Me: I love all dogs and I'm particularly crazy about the big doggos, the gentle giants, the floofs. Lost my sweet boy to age and cancer two years ago and dog-sit to fill my bucket with doggo love. I've had medium-to-big dogs since I was smaller than they were; I've trained and worked with dogs on and off leash, from puppy to late-senior. Dogs in my care only go off leash with owner permission, and the dog's safety is paramount. Favorite command: "Trail" - to keep my big guy from roaming too far into the woods. The environment: I work from home full-time, which means pups get lots of companionship throughout the day. If I do have to be out of the house for an appointment, my hubby also works from home and is available for potty breaks and skritches. If we head out together, I prefer pups who are comfortable in their crates for up to 4 hours but are happy to talk to owners about any particular pup needs. Dogs are allowed on couches at our house, but only if the owner says yes - we follow your rules with your dog, to reinforce your training. Adventure and Playtime: Depending on your pup's energy levels, this might include summertime hikes and woodsy walks or runs, wintertime nordic adventures, river-trail loops, or simply couch time and neighborhood sniff-walks for the senior bois and girls. There's a friendly neighborhood pack of labs who get together for coffee every Friday (their humans get to come too), and a fenced dog park just three blocks away. I work from home full-time, which means pups get lots of companionship throughout the day. Dogsitting is part of my work (and my heart), so I block time in my work calendar to take your pup adventuring each day they're here. If I do have to be out of the house for an appointment, my hubby also works from home and is available for potty breaks and skritches. If hubs and I head out together, my goal is to keep the dog safe and as stress-free as possible. For that reason, I prefer dogs who are comfortable in their crates for 4-6 hours, but can be flexible; I am happy to talk to owners about any particular pup needs. Safety first, then fun and snuggles! We follow the owner's training rules and instructions regarding on/off-leash time, couches, food, snacks, etc. With two of us working from home, your dog is well-loved and well-cared-for. We have a two-dog limit and don't take dogs from different families unless they already know each other. (Example: You and your BFF are heading to the coast together, and want your dogs have their own getaway weekend at our house!)
About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs my whole life and absolutely love making connections with animals! I would love to support pet owners by helping out with walks, playtime, check-ins, and more. I have the most experience with small dogs and cats but have spent time with larger pets as well. I have walked dogs AND cats on leashes/harnesses and love playing with pets too! I work remote most days, so my schedule is very flexible. I would love to help with care any time of day and any day of the week. I am practiced at making sure cats stay inside (those little rascals love to try to escape through any closed door don’t they?), and am comfortable with leashing or crating dogs if needed. I am comfortable walking cats on harnesses as well!
“Marie is the best! She takes such good care of our pup! She is quick to respond and goes above and beyond to help out with short notice! We would recommend Marie to anyone and everyone!”

Kevin was awesome! He was always on time and gave me all the details on what was going on. He made sure that both of my kitties were safe despite their shyness towards him, even to the point of looking for them in their hiding spots. I would definitely ask him to help again!

Morgan was wonderful with our pup! She is professional, friendly, and a great communicator from start to finish. When she came over for the meet-and-greet, she asked thoughtful questions, immediately showed our dog so much kindness, and even helped redirect some of her over-the-top excitement. That gave me confidence right away. Our 1.5-year-old English Bulldog is full of energy and gets very excited when people come over. She’s not the easiest walker and can overheat quickly, so I was looking for someone who was happy to spend time playing in the yard, keeping her safe, and making sure she had fun. Morgan was exactly that. We’re so grateful for the wonderful care she gave our girl. I highly recommend Morgan and will absolutely book with her again!

We came home to a happy cat and healthy green plants! Kayla was attentive to every detail and kept us updated with thoughtful, detailed messages throughout our trip. We truly appreciated her care and communication, and we hope to book Kayla again in the future!
ellyn was amazing!!! our cat was very well taken care of when we were gone. she brushed him, hand washed his bowls, and even clipped his nails when she noticed he had a long one! her updates were fantastic and very detailed. she was very thorough and we came back to a super clean house. will definitely be booking her again! thank you so much ellyn!

Marisa always goes above and beyond. She’s watched my two cats at least five times now, and I know they’re always in great hands. She sends thoughtful updates, takes amazing care of them, and even cleans up the fur that collects on the couch. I highly recommend Marisa to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter!

Jennifer took great care of my two cats while I was away. She was communicative, caring, and made sure they were well looked after. I really appreciated the updates, and I had complete peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. I’d happily have Jennifer back and highly recommend her!

Rebecca did a great job checking in on my kitten over a long weekend. I felt relaxed knowing he was in good hands. She took the cutest photos and I loved getting them after every check in. Rebecca is very reliable, trustworthy, and good at communicating. Your animal will be in good hands here!

Aaron is our go to sitter and has cared for our two cats on several occasions. Our cats love him and they are always happy and relaxed when we return. We can highly recommend Aaron for his reliability, great communication and best of all his sincere care for animals.

Brooke was great! She was thorough, asked clarifying questions if needed, made good decisions the days i couldn’t respond immediately, and left detailed notes and pictures for each day. She has good, kind energy too. My cat doesn’t like everyone, and gets anxious in his old age. I could tell just from the photos she took of him lounging around and of his food bowl that he was much happier and less stressed than other visits with people who didn’t care about his needs and just kept him alive. I was then able to enjoy my vacation instead of just feeling worried he wasn’t being treated well. I’ll feel a lot more confident leaving town again now that I know I can reach out to Brooke again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
