I love cats and cat sitting and I know how important quality care is! I have two cats of my own and I will treat your cats with the care and respect I expect for my own cats. Cats aren't just pets, they're family! My current cats are young and healthy, but I previously had a sick with special needs, elderly cat. I have experience giving multiple medications including tablets and liquids, subcutaneous fluids, and providing any additional care that goes along with an aging or sick cat. I adjust each visit to the cat's needs and interests. Every cat is unique and has a different personality. Some cats are shy and like to hide. For those visits, I will check to see where the cat is, make sure they are ok and then go about the visit dispensing food, refreshing water, and scooping the litter. For the remainder of the visit, I may simply sit quietly to let the cat know that they are being cared for. If the cat is social and active, I will say hello in whatever way the cat greets me. I will do the tasks of the visit (food, water, litter) and then offer playtime, pets, and cuddles. If provided, I can offer treats at the end of the visit. In addition to the routine tasks, I will clean up around the litter box if litter is scattered about and I will also clean food or water bowls. I may ask if the cat likes or is good with grooming. With permission, I can offer nail trimming or brushing as long as the cat is happy with the activity. If you have additional requests for your cat, I will happily accommodate!
