“Julie was wonderful and took great care of our dog. She made accommodations to keep him as safe and stress-free as possible. When we picked him up, Jack continued to ask for her attention. We think he had a great time during his short stay.”

“Jamie was very communicative and was wonderful with Maggie. Her pups played so well with my dog, and I loved receiving the frequent pictures and videos. Would definitely send Maggie back to Jamie again!”

“Dexter had a wonderful first visit with Lisa and Dave. He was well cared for and the environment was calm and relaxed, which is just what Dexter likes! Dexter is 13 needs a fair amount of care and I was worried about leaving him in a new space. Lisa and Dave did an amazing job of keeping me updated on how Dexter was doing throughout the day, letting me know what Dexter was up to and following the guidelines I had shared with them. This gave me the confidence of know that Dexter was in safe hands. Lisa and Dave are not only attentive but also respectful of Dexter’s needs. They took the time to get to know him and his communication style, kept their own dogs on leashes while we did a meet and greet and asked smart questions if anything was unclear. Their dogs, Fezzi and Scout are a delight. Like Lisa and Dave, they are kind, respectful and easy to get along with. Dexter doesn’t always like other dogs and he got along with theirs. I am so grateful to have found Lisa and Dave and will definitely be bringing Dexter there again!”

“Nicole and her family were amazing. We were traveling to Bend for the long weekend and left our dog with Nicole for the one day we were visiting a National park. They took great care of our dog and sent us photos regularly of all the fun they had. I highly recommend trusting Nicole and her family with your pup if you are in Bend, they were awesome!”

I’m patient, calm, reliable, and attentive to each dog’s routine, comfort, and unique personality, with experience creating safe, supportive environments where dogs can feel at home. About: I grew up with big, energetic dogs, mostly labs and mutts, so caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my life. I’m very comfortable around active dogs and enjoy spending time outdoors walking, running, and playing with them. I know how important it is for our pups to get exercise, attention, and care during the day, especially when their people are busy with work. I’m happy to help by providing a midday walk or run and making sure your pup gets movement, stimulation, and affection. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes and always aim to make them feel safe, cared for, and happy during our time together. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m already active and spend a lot of time outdoors walking, running, and getting fresh air, so adding dog walks and visits during the day works well for me. I especially enjoy midday walks when dogs often need a break, exercise, and some attention while their owners are at work. I’m reliable about scheduling and make sure I plan my day so each dog gets the time, movement, and care they need. I enjoy slowing down and giving dogs focused attention so they feel comfortable and cared for while we’re together. When caring for pets, I try to follow the routine they are already used to so they feel comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I focus on making sure dogs get the exercise, attention, and care they need while their owners are away. This usually includes walks or runs, fresh water, feeding if needed, and spending some time giving them attention so they don’t feel rushed or alone. I’m attentive to each dog’s energy level and personality and adjust walks and play accordingly. I also make sure to respect the client’s home by following any specific instructions and leaving everything as I found it. My goal is for both the dog and the owner to feel at ease while we’re spending time together.
“Lily was great! She accepted our request super last minute and was so accommodating. We really appreciate how sweet she was, our pup seemed to really enjoy his time with her. Thanks so much Lily!”

“Blake was an absolute lifesaver! We needed a last-minute booking, and he was incredibly helpful and responsive right from the start. To make things even better, when we hit a hiccup in our day and had to adjust our pickup time, Blake was incredibly flexible and understanding. It completely took the stress out of our situation. We knew our pup was in great hands, and we couldn’t recommend Blake enough if you’re looking for a reliable, accommodating, and top-tier sitter in Bend!”

About: I am a recent graduate of Carleton College with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. In the fall, I will be starting a PhD in Cancer Biology at UW-Madison. However, despite the scientific background, I worked as an Equine Veterinary Assistant for a year in college, and spent a summer gaining extensive exotic animal care experience from a full time Zookeeping position. Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide range of animals, from dogs and cats to farm animals and exotics. My diverse background enables me to provide compassionate, knowledgeable care for many different species, and I adapt quickly to new challenges and needs. With experience in the veterinary setting, I am particularly attentive to an animals’ health/behavior. I am unavailable between Thursday, July 9th and Tuesday, July 21st as I am traveling, but I am completely free otherwise for walks, doggy daycare, and drop-in visits. I have an 13 year old family dog currently living at home with my family who is friendly and curious. He is kennel trained and can be kept separated from any pets who are not comfortable with other animals.

Gig was great! I contacted her as a new client on a rather short notice to watch my dog while I worked and she was very accommodating! She did a great job at making sure Pache felt welcome and happy in her home! Mapache does great with other dogs and does well with cats but can be skeptical of new cats 😂 Gigi did a great job at making sure everyone got a proper introduction and got along well together!

Sarah took great care of both our senior dog and our puppy during a doggy daycare day in Bend. She was responsive, communicative, and made sure each dog got the attention and care they needed based on their different ages and personalities. We felt completely comfortable leaving them with her and would highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter 🫶🏼

Fantastic experience. Seriously. I can’t emphasis enough how much we appreciate the care that was offered for our babies in this home! Both our dogs had a pep in their step that I haven’t seen in a long while when we picked them up. Will 100% book again knowing that our babies will have the best care offered!!! Thank you so much for making this happen!!!! ❤️

Our dog had a lovely, relaxing time with Lisa and we had a great time at the concert knowing she was safe and sound. She is usually a little anxious when we leave her but Lisa was kind enough to send photo updates and she was crashed out so she must have felt right at home!

Carlay is a wonderful pet sitter! She was easy to communicate with and truly went above and beyond to provide the best possible care for our cavapoochon puppy, Lily. Carlay even arranged for us to visit with her and her pup, Willa, several days before our scheduled service so we could make sure Lily and Willa would be comfortable and get along well. Willa is an incredibly sweet and patient dog, and Lily had the best time playing with her! And Carlay herself was not only kind, flexible, patient, and accommodating, but she also provided enrichment, socialization, and excellent overall care. Lily does have significant separation anxiety, so we especially appreciated all the photos Carlay sent of a very happy and active Lily. When we picked Lily up, she was clearly very comfortable and extremely happy. We would absolutely recommend Carlay to anyone, and we will definitely hire her again the next time we need pet sitting services in Bend, Oregon!

Heidi and Aaron were super helpful taking care of our dog Watson. Despite our booking their daycare services at the last minute, they accommodated a quick meet & greet. Watson doesn't always do well with other dogs, but he did great with their dog, and enjoyed ramping around in their big backyard. Would happily recommend them and will reach out again the next time we might need dog care when we're visiting Bend!

Krista was wonderful with our 14 y/o golden doodle who does not like to be alone, but can no longer keep up on long hikes and outings. We had guests from out of town, and had lots of activities planned, and needed doggy daycare. Krista provided an excellent day care service, was graciously flexible with scheduling dropoffs and pickups, and location was ideal; centrally located in Bend. Would recommend! Phoenix looks forward to staying with Krista again.
Eleanor is great! She took our last minute booking request and was so wonderful to our pup Brando. She provided so much comfort to him and worked through his separation anxiety. She even took him in a long walk. Would definitely book with Eleanor again if we come back through Bend <3
Dexter had a wonderful first visit with Lisa and Dave. I am so grateful to have found Lisa and Dave and will definitely be bringing Dexter there again!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
