“Sarah and Ben were awesome sitters for our energetic boxer. We were running late for both drop off and pick up and they we understanding and more accommodating than they needed to be. Their own dogs are very friendly and made for a great play date. We will definitely be looking to use them again.”

“Julie was wonderful and took great care of our dog. She made accommodations to keep him as safe and stress-free as possible. When we picked him up, Jack continued to ask for her attention. We think he had a great time during his short stay.”

“Colin took great care of our two dogs for the full day so we could go adventure a bit in Bend without worrying about our dogs. Appreciated the pictures sent as an update. Would definitely use again!”

About: I grew up around all types of animals on my grandparent’s 100 acre farm, and I have spent recent years taking care of two very loved pups and a big family. We no longer have dogs, but I would love to be there for your fur babies to make them feel loved, safe, and doted on while you are away! I’m a stay-at-home mom of three kids 👧🏻👧🏼👦🏼 (ages 4, 6, and 7), so please only reach out if your dog is good with kids. I also have a super flexible schedule to prioritize companionship, bathroom breaks, walks, play, feeding, and any concerns you might have. I always make sure I give the best care possible and spoil your pup with love! 💗 We have a fenced yard and live near parks and river hiking trails. I love giving lots of extra attention and gentle pets! Let me know what needs your pet may have, and I will do my best to achieve them! I also enjoy setting up meet and greets to make sure that I am the perfect pet parent for your dog and to begin to create that loving, safe connection. It can be difficult to leave your pup, so I will take pictures and keep you updated. I will treat and love your pup as if it were my own! I am a stay at home mom, so I am able to be there for your dog and around for walks, bathroom breaks and couch cuddles. I leave the house for a few hours here and there but not all day. I am completely flexible to work with your schedule. I have a fenced yard. I also have kids 3-7 years old who are gentle with pets. Your dog can run free in our home and can also be kenneled when we go out. We live in a neighborhood that is great for walks, and close to parks. There are lots of kids and green spaces.
“Dexter had a wonderful first visit with Lisa and Dave. He was well cared for and the environment was calm and relaxed, which is just what Dexter likes! Dexter is 13 needs a fair amount of care and I was worried about leaving him in a new space. Lisa and Dave did an amazing job of keeping me updated on how Dexter was doing throughout the day, letting me know what Dexter was up to and following the guidelines I had shared with them. This gave me the confidence of know that Dexter was in safe hands. Lisa and Dave are not only attentive but also respectful of Dexter’s needs. They took the time to get to know him and his communication style, kept their own dogs on leashes while we did a meet and greet and asked smart questions if anything was unclear. Their dogs, Fezzi and Scout are a delight. Like Lisa and Dave, they are kind, respectful and easy to get along with. Dexter doesn’t always like other dogs and he got along with theirs. I am so grateful to have found Lisa and Dave and will definitely be bringing Dexter there again!”

“Veronica and her son were amazing hosts for Rodeo! They were so sweet with him, giving him plenty of playtime and cuddle time. They were incredibly patient with his young dog energy and antics, making sure he felt comfortable and loved. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we’d absolutely have them watch Rodeo again!”

“Blake was an absolute lifesaver! We needed a last-minute booking, and he was incredibly helpful and responsive right from the start. To make things even better, when we hit a hiccup in our day and had to adjust our pickup time, Blake was incredibly flexible and understanding. It completely took the stress out of our situation. We knew our pup was in great hands, and we couldn’t recommend Blake enough if you’re looking for a reliable, accommodating, and top-tier sitter in Bend!”

Lisa and Max made accommodations for our pup to come over and hang during the concerts and she had a great time! Very communicative, responsive, and overall, just excellent dog people! Would definitely recommend them for your Rover needs!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with almost 20 years of experience caring for dogs through walking, sitting, and boarding. I started my first dog-walking business at 14, and my love for animals has only grown since then. I’ve spent years dog sitting for friends and family, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pets. My wife and I have two dogs and two cats of our own, so I’m very comfortable caring for pets in a home environment and managing different personalities, energy levels, and routines. We live on a half-acre property that gives dogs plenty of space to run, play, and explore safely. I’m very active and love getting dogs outside for adventures—whether that’s long walks, hikes, bike runs, or even snow outings for dogs who enjoy winter fun. I always tailor activities to each dog’s age, energy level, and comfort, with safety as my top priority. Your dog will be treated like part of the family, with plenty of exercise, attention, and care. I’d love to meet you and your pup and help give you peace of mind while you’re away! I do alot of my work from home so our pets don't spend too much time alone. We exercise our dogs daily and frequent the local trails. We have a large fenced yard and two dogs that love to play. Our dogs sleep in our bed with us, so we can set up a bed, or a crate, or they can snuggle up with us!
“After a long stay our dog is back with Nicole and her family for doggy daycare! He LOVES being there. He is safe, well cared for, and with their yard and dogs he is well exercised! Happy doggo, happy mama 💗”

About: I grew up with big, energetic dogs, mostly labs and mutts, so caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my life. I’m very comfortable around active dogs and enjoy spending time outdoors walking, running, and playing with them. I know how important it is for our pups to get exercise, attention, and care during the day, especially when their people are busy with work. I’m happy to help by providing a midday walk or run and making sure your pup gets movement, stimulation, and affection. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes and always aim to make them feel safe, cared for, and happy during our time together. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m already active and spend a lot of time outdoors walking, running, and getting fresh air, so adding dog walks and visits during the day works well for me. I especially enjoy midday walks when dogs often need a break, exercise, and some attention while their owners are at work. I’m reliable about scheduling and make sure I plan my day so each dog gets the time, movement, and care they need. I enjoy slowing down and giving dogs focused attention so they feel comfortable and cared for while we’re together. When caring for pets, I try to follow the routine they are already used to so they feel comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I focus on making sure dogs get the exercise, attention, and care they need while their owners are away. This usually includes walks or runs, fresh water, feeding if needed, and spending some time giving them attention so they don’t feel rushed or alone. I’m attentive to each dog’s energy level and personality and adjust walks and play accordingly. I also make sure to respect the client’s home by following any specific instructions and leaving everything as I found it. My goal is for both the dog and the owner to feel at ease while we’re spending time together.
About: I’ve always had a pet as a member of my family. Cats and dogs. My current love is a super chill (yes, there is such a thing!) lab. Every walk is a mini training adventure. My lab Riley will get along with your pup, it’s just his nature. I provide enrichment during the day to keep boredom away. If I visit your cats, I know they might not visit me! I’ll just sit on the floor and wait for them to come out from under the bed! I’m fortunate to be able to adjust my retiree schedule every day. I’m flexible to your particular pet’s needs and schedule. It depends on the type of service, in my home or in yours. I have a completely fenced, (tall too) back yard. I don’t leave my pup unattended while he’s out. We leash walk mornings, afternoon and evenings. I have numerous sniffing loops I use as I live along the canal.
The median cost per day for doggy day care in Bend is $45

Sonja did an amazing job with my pup! My dog can be incredibly anxious when I’m not around, but he warmed up immediately to Sonja and had no issues hanging out at her place. She sent some adorable photos and kept me updated on his behavior. All the gold stars! Will absolutely work with her again :)

Jessica took amazing care of my two pups! Both of my dogs are shy and nervous and they came back happy and well cared for. Jessica was very responsive and easy to work with when I needed to update my booking at the last minute. Next time we are in town we will for sure use Jessica again.

Jeanie and Brett are the BEST! They clearly love dogs and go above and beyond to make sure they adjust comfortably to the dog haven that is their backyard! (Tons of space, other friendly pups and a creek water feature🤩) Our dog has difficulty with separation at times, but they were tuned into how she was doing and gave her special time, space and treats to help her connect. Can’t recommend them more highly! We were able to float the river confident she was in the best of hands ❤️ Thank you, Jeanie and Brett!!!

Jamie was amazing! She was able to watch me pup the entire evening / night while I was at a concert at Hayden Homes. She was incredibly receptive and caring for my pup and any potential needs of hers. I would absolutely rebook the next time I am in Bend. Strongly recommend her :)

Gig was great! I contacted her as a new client on a rather short notice to watch my dog while I worked and she was very accommodating! She did a great job at making sure Pache felt welcome and happy in her home! Mapache does great with other dogs and does well with cats but can be skeptical of new cats 😂 Gigi did a great job at making sure everyone got a proper introduction and got along well together!

Sarah took great care of both our senior dog and our puppy during a doggy daycare day in Bend. She was responsive, communicative, and made sure each dog got the attention and care they needed based on their different ages and personalities. We felt completely comfortable leaving them with her and would highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter 🫶🏼

Fantastic experience. Seriously. I can’t emphasis enough how much we appreciate the care that was offered for our babies in this home! Both our dogs had a pep in their step that I haven’t seen in a long while when we picked them up. Will 100% book again knowing that our babies will have the best care offered!!! Thank you so much for making this happen!!!! ❤️

Carlay is a wonderful pet sitter! She was easy to communicate with and truly went above and beyond to provide the best possible care for our cavapoochon puppy, Lily. Carlay even arranged for us to visit with her and her pup, Willa, several days before our scheduled service so we could make sure Lily and Willa would be comfortable and get along well. Willa is an incredibly sweet and patient dog, and Lily had the best time playing with her! And Carlay herself was not only kind, flexible, patient, and accommodating, but she also provided enrichment, socialization, and excellent overall care. Lily does have significant separation anxiety, so we especially appreciated all the photos Carlay sent of a very happy and active Lily. When we picked Lily up, she was clearly very comfortable and extremely happy. We would absolutely recommend Carlay to anyone, and we will definitely hire her again the next time we need pet sitting services in Bend, Oregon!

Heidi and Aaron were super helpful taking care of our dog Watson. Despite our booking their daycare services at the last minute, they accommodated a quick meet & greet. Watson doesn't always do well with other dogs, but he did great with their dog, and enjoyed ramping around in their big backyard. Would happily recommend them and will reach out again the next time we might need dog care when we're visiting Bend!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Bend commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
