I have cared for animals since I can remember and am also an ally for all animals and their rights. I have experience with needy pets, those with fear and anxiety, and others that need particular medication on a strict and tight schedule. I will not interfere with any training and know how important it is to continue the protocol for puppies. As a child, I had a dog, guinea pigs, and hamsters to care for my own. During my teen years, our family had cats. During college, I cared for my cat and a bird while my roommates had additional cats and lizards. When living in China, my partner and I adopted a very ill cat. With limited resources there and quality care, we nursed her to a very healthy cat that now resides happily with her dog, cat, and human friends. I also did some pet fostering for pet rescue programs in Shanghai. I have experience caring for senior and ill cats but also have the high energy for a puppy that requires a lot of attention. I'm a very patient person with animals. I'm also athletic. I can handle most any type of animal. As a cyclist, I've learned very well how to talk and work with unfamiliar dogs and show little fear. With belly rubs and kisses, I will become part of the pack in no time. Aaaaand, since I'm a freelance photographer, who knows what kind of pet portraits you'll receive when I part ways with my new furry friends. * If you do not have detailed care and health info for your pet, I will not do a meet and greet. (Because of people trying to get me into their home and offer unfair rates or surprise me with special health needs.) * Special need animals may incur additional fees. * Any client more than 15 miles from central Bend may incur additional fees. I take this position and my ability to care for animals very seriously. They deserve my 💯 attention and will not get any lesser.

Eleanor is great! She took our last minute booking request and was so wonderful to our pup Brando. She provided so much comfort to him and worked through his separation anxiety. She even took him in a long walk. Would definitely book with Eleanor again if we come back through Bend <3
Excellent care for my 2 dogs and kitty. Perfect communication while we were out of the country. Last minute booking success! We had a sitter cancellation and booked Eleanor on the drive down from Portland. She was flexible and helped us out on the fly, was great with our two 60 lb dogs, took them on a fun walk with great pics, and gave us some peace of mind while floating the river for a few hours. Good experience all around
Eleanor was great. This was a short notice booking and couldn't be happier that she was available. I received multiple updates for the evening including some awesome photography of our dog. Would highly recommend.

Schedule
I am a freelancer (20 years) and currently developing some writing projects for publications and a book. My freelance assignments usually give me a week's notice so I am easily adaptable to you and your pet's schedule. I like to take walks, in the city or the park, or the woods for my health and would love to have some four legged company. I completed the "world's most difficult bike race" last summer so stamina won't be an issue. If I am hired to stay at your home with your pets, I have many writing projects and my foreign language studies that I can bring. (I speak Mandarin Chinese and currently learning Tibetan.) I'm sure if you have cats, they would love to push books off the table or curl up on my lap. Or a dog to distract me when I'm looking for a reason to procrastinate. I am not married and have no children. So there will be no last-minute emergencies or changes to our schedule. Your pets will receive all my attention and love.

I am honest, clean, and respectful of other people's homes and spaces. When I am a guest at friends' homes, I've always been told I leave a place like I never was there. I was raised to leave a place better than I found it. I do have a (Wilderness) First Responder Course, so I know how to remain calm and use my resources in case there is an emergency with anyone around me or in the area. I am attentive to animal's needs and they will the biggest priority. They will be treated better than family.
A typical day
I have the energy like a retriever and sometimes a similar attention span. I'm an avid outdoors person, ultra cyclist, and long-distance hiker. There are so many beautiful trails and we will go at their pace and distance. Perhaps dogs prefer to go to parks or just the backyard. I love getting down on the ground and playing with dogs, as if I'm part of the pack.
