Greg and I both work flexible, remote jobs from home, which makes providing attentive, consistent care during the week (Monday–Friday) easy and natural for us. When we’re hosting a pet, we’re especially intentional about our time on the weekends as well, keeping our schedule open so we can prioritize extra activity, attention, and outdoor time.

Safety, trust & environment
We live in a well-kept, safe neighborhood and take pride in maintaining a clean, organized home. Our fenced yard provides a secure space for outdoor time and supervised socializing. Our pup, Willa, is very friendly with other animals, and we closely monitor all interactions to ensure everyone feels comfortable and plays safely together. Willa has spent time living with cats, so she's even cat friendly.

Information Carlay C. would like to know about your pet
Because we have a dog of our own, we’re only able to host dogs who are dog-friendly. We’re the best fit for pups who are reasonably well-behaved, potty trained, and comfortable settling in for calm, relaxed periods between activities. Dogs with low anxiety who can enjoy both playtime and downtime tend to thrive most in our home. We are happy to administer medication if needed- please write down specific directions ahead of time and inform us.
A typical day
We typically head out around 9am for a morning walk and some fresh air and sunshine. Mid-day, we make sure the dogs get plenty of playtime both in the backyard and indoors. In our fenced yard, we love playing fetch, chase, and tug-of-war to keep everyone active and engaged. In the evenings, we’ll either go for another walk or run, or visit a local dog park for some extra social time. If you’d prefer that your dog not go to dog parks or public spaces, we’re more than happy to accommodate that. Before bedtime, your pup will get lots of love—belly rubs, brushing, and even a bath if needed—so they can wind down feeling comfortable and cared for.

Pet care experience
Greg and I both work from home, which allows us to provide plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, and mid-day walks. We have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time. In the evenings and on weekends, we stay active and enjoy walks, hikes, and visits to local dog parks. We’ve been dog owners for over 10 years and both grew up with family dogs, so caring for them is truly second nature to us. We currently have a young, submissive hound mix, so we do require that any dog in our care is friendly and gets along well with other dogs. We can't wait to host your fur baby in our home!
Reviews

Carlay is a wonderful pet sitter! She was easy to communicate with and truly went above and beyond to provide the best possible care for our cavapoochon puppy, Lily. Carlay even arranged for us to visit with her and her pup, Willa, several days before our scheduled service so we could make sure Lily and Willa would be comfortable and get along well. Willa is an incredibly sweet and patient dog, and Lily had the best time playing with her! And Carlay herself was not only kind, flexible, patient, and accommodating, but she also provided enrichment, socialization, and excellent overall care. Lily does have significant separation anxiety, so we especially appreciated all the photos Carlay sent of a very happy and active Lily. When we picked Lily up, she was clearly very comfortable and extremely happy. We would absolutely recommend Carlay to anyone, and we will definitely hire her again the next time we need pet sitting services in Bend, Oregon!
Carlay and Willa were loving caretakers for my Odin! Carlay is very communicative in setting up the Rover sit and then during the day while he is there! Odin was happy spending the days there and thoroughly worn out when he got home! A tired dog is a good dog!
Carlay has been a huge help with easing any anxiety we had with having someone come over and watch our dog. She's very good with sending us photos/videos of him playing and being taken care of. She's also very reliable any time we needed to get hold of her to ask questions or just check in. Would definitely recommend!
My names is Christina and I have a one year old Malamute. Carlay has been a lifesaver when I have to head out of town, knowing my Dog is getting the love and attention she deserves. Carlay is a special caregiver because she will send me photos/videos and text updates while I am gone. Carlays love for nature is espeically comforting knowing Nakoda is getting the exercise a growing pup needs!
