Blake was an absolute lifesaver! We needed a last-minute booking, and he was incredibly helpful and responsive right from the start. To make things even better, when we hit a hiccup in our day and had to adjust our pickup time, Blake was incredibly flexible and understanding. It completely took the stress out of our situation. We knew our pup was in great hands, and we couldn’t recommend Blake enough if you’re looking for a reliable, accommodating, and top-tier sitter in Bend!

About: I have taken care of plenty of pets including great danes, chihuahuas, cats, geckos, etc. I am rated 5 stars on trusted house sitters and am very comfortable with overnight housesitting stays as well. I have pet sat for years and can do or be taught any special needs that yours may have. I'm excited to love and treat your pet like my own! I am photography business owner with my own hours, so my schedule will be open 7 days a week to care for your pet and keep them company. I'm an early riser and can be available any time of day you need me. I am able to adapt to requests you may have for caring for your animal in your home. I will respect your space and can keep a close eye on your pet. I am a very active and outdoorsy person and would love to take your pet outside on my daily walks if they'd enjoy it. I also love snuggles while I work from your home and play time inside! When housesitting I can treat your pet with the same care and discipline that you do while you're gone. (If you become a returning client I will probably take professional photos of your pet on my visits :)

Julie was wonderful and took great care of our dog. She made accommodations to keep him as safe and stress-free as possible. When we picked him up, Jack continued to ask for her attention. We think he had a great time during his short stay.

About: I am a recent graduate of Carleton College with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. In the fall, I will be starting a PhD in Cancer Biology at UW-Madison. However, despite the scientific background, I worked as an Equine Veterinary Assistant for a year in college, and spent a summer gaining extensive exotic animal care experience from a full time Zookeeping position. Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide range of animals, from dogs and cats to farm animals and exotics. My diverse background enables me to provide compassionate, knowledgeable care for many different species, and I adapt quickly to new challenges and needs. With experience in the veterinary setting, I am particularly attentive to an animals’ health/behavior. I am unavailable between Thursday, July 9th and Tuesday, July 21st as I am traveling, but I am completely free otherwise for walks, doggy daycare, and drop-in visits. I have an 13 year old family dog currently living at home with my family who is friendly and curious. He is kennel trained and can be kept separated from any pets who are not comfortable with other animals.

Darian is awesome. She's dogsat Frida a bunch of times this winter, and she takes great care of her, takes her for walks, and feeds her when I'm out during meal times. She's communicative, on time, and always keeps me up to date on how the day is going, which is so great for peace of mind. Very happy and grateful that's she's able to watch Frida!

About: I grew up on a farm, and have had a huge love of animals, particularly dogs since I can remember. I meet new animals almost daily, and most people are surprised by how quickly their animal warms up to me. I am my friends go to house/pet sitter and they fully trust me in providing great care for their fur babies. I recently transitioned from a high demand job to a primarily remote work long job. This allows me to spend quality time with your animals, and be present for walks, bathroom breaks, and extra love. I get to know the animal and what is going to best meet their needs and will cater to the animal and owner. Depending on the pet, I can hang out and snuggle or go for walks, to the dog park, or just simply engage them in your yard.

My pup had the BEST time with Claudia! It was hard to get her back in the car to leave! I left my pup with Claudia for a day and boy were they busy. Lots of play time and a long walk and cuddles, my pup was POOPED after and slept all evening, a sign of a great day! Claudia sent pics throughout the day, which were honestly so nice to receive. She was super easy to talk and schedule the day with. Will be dropping my pup off with her again!!

About: I grew up with big, energetic dogs, mostly labs and mutts, so caring for dogs has always been a natural part of my life. I’m very comfortable around active dogs and enjoy spending time outdoors walking, running, and playing with them. I know how important it is for our pups to get exercise, attention, and care during the day, especially when their people are busy with work. I’m happy to help by providing a midday walk or run and making sure your pup gets movement, stimulation, and affection. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes and always aim to make them feel safe, cared for, and happy during our time together. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m already active and spend a lot of time outdoors walking, running, and getting fresh air, so adding dog walks and visits during the day works well for me. I especially enjoy midday walks when dogs often need a break, exercise, and some attention while their owners are at work. I’m reliable about scheduling and make sure I plan my day so each dog gets the time, movement, and care they need. I enjoy slowing down and giving dogs focused attention so they feel comfortable and cared for while we’re together. When caring for pets, I try to follow the routine they are already used to so they feel comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I focus on making sure dogs get the exercise, attention, and care they need while their owners are away. This usually includes walks or runs, fresh water, feeding if needed, and spending some time giving them attention so they don’t feel rushed or alone. I’m attentive to each dog’s energy level and personality and adjust walks and play accordingly. I also make sure to respect the client’s home by following any specific instructions and leaving everything as I found it. My goal is for both the dog and the owner to feel at ease while we’re spending time together.

Jessica was extremely accommodating, especially since we requested her services the day before. Her property is perfect for watching dogs. She was friendly and reliable. She even sent photos of the dogs during their stay. This was our first experience with Rover, and it didn’t disappoint. Jessica was great!!!

Visiting from out of town, Made a very last minute request to watch my dog and my uncle's 2 dogs so that our families could float the river. Claudia was so gracious and quick to respond - even though she wasn't available, she connected us with her partner James, who kindly met us at a convenient location go pick up the dogs. The dogs all seemed happily worn out when we picked them up a few hours later, and got some fun photos and video from their time at the dog park. Thank you so much! Would totally reach out again if ever back in town.

I was visiting Oregon from out of state and was anxious on finding a dog sitter for Speckles. Claudia was amazing and the best sitter Speckles has ever had. He had an adventure with her and came back very happy. She was responsive, communicated frequently, and sent many pictures and videos to put all my worries at ease. I highly recommend. Thank you so much Claudia! 😊

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Deschutes on Rover is $42.18 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 239 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Deschutes. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Deschutes commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 239 sitters in Deschutes, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
