Dexter is 13 needs a fair amount of care and I was worried about leaving him in a new space. They took the time to get to know him and his communication style, kept their own dogs on leashes while we did a meet and greet and asked smart questions if anything was unclear. Their dogs, Fezzi and Scout are a delight. Like Lisa and Dave, they are kind, respectful and easy to get along with. Dexter doesn’t always like other dogs and he got along with theirs. About: I grew up around all types of animals on my grandparent’s 100 acre farm, and I have spent recent years taking care of two very loved pups and a big family. We no longer have dogs, but I would love to be there for your fur babies to make them feel loved, safe, and doted on while you are away! I am completely flexible to work with your schedule. I have a fenced yard. I also have kids 3-7 years old who are gentle with pets. Your dog can run free in our home and can also be kenneled when we go out. We live in a neighborhood that is great for walks, and close to parks. There are lots of kids and green spaces.

About: I am a recent graduate of Carleton College with a double major in Biology and Chemistry. In the fall, I will be starting a PhD in Cancer Biology at UW-Madison. However, despite the scientific background, I worked as an Equine Veterinary Assistant for a year in college, and spent a summer gaining extensive exotic animal care experience from a full time Zookeeping position. Over the years, I’ve cared for a wide range of animals, from dogs and cats to farm animals and exotics. My diverse background enables me to provide compassionate, knowledgeable care for many different species, and I adapt quickly to new challenges and needs. With experience in the veterinary setting, I am particularly attentive to an animals’ health/behavior. I am unavailable between Thursday, July 9th and Tuesday, July 21st as I am traveling, but I am completely free otherwise for walks, doggy daycare, and drop-in visits. I have an 13 year old family dog currently living at home with my family who is friendly and curious. He is kennel trained and can be kept separated from any pets who are not comfortable with other animals.
