Kevin is excellent and would highly recommend him. He is very comfortable and caring with animals and clearly enjoys being around them. His report cards are very thorough. Recently Kevin watched our cats and we had a last minute medical situation that involved giving one cat eyedrops. Kevin handled it smoothly and I felt good knowing that he was caring for our cats.

Brooke was awesome! She was so thorough and sent so many pictures. As someone who is very picky and anxious about leaving my cats, I can say I would definitely ask her to watch them again. My cats are also extremely shy and they even let her pet them which I feel is a testament to her character!

Thank you so much for being an awesome pet sitter! Finding a sitter who can handle my high-energy dog is difficult, but you were wonderful. I appreciate you throwing the ball and giving him treats, and even wiping him off when it was wet. You’re the best!

About: 18-year dog mom in Bend, Oregon with hands-on experience caring for puppies, adult dogs, and seniors needing extra patience, mobility support, and medications. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I work from home in Bend, Oregon. I’m available for regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and plenty of supervision, attention, and companionship throughout the day In my Bend home, pets enjoy a secure fenced yard, supervised playtime, and a calm environment with my gentle senior dog and cat for friendly companionship. I follow each pet’s routine closely. In clients’ homes, I maintain familiar schedules, feeding, walks, medications, and lots of attentive care.

Kersie stopped by twice a day while we were out of town to give Daisy her allergy pill, let the dogs play outside, and to feed them. The dogs loved her, they went looking for her the day after we got home. We would book with her again.

About: Hi there! For the first time in a while I am animal free and looking to share my love with your furry family. For over a decade I've either adopted, fostered, or taken care of my friends and family's pets. I have lots of experience with both dogs and cats of all kinds. My approach is always patient and kind. I look forward to meeting your loved one! I work remotely and have lots of flexibility. At your house I would be able to take the pets out for potty breaks often and never leave them unattended for more than a couple hours. I am open to caring for your pets inside the comforts of your own home, that way they feel most comfortable and don't have to be moved to a stranger's home.

About: I’ve taken care of pets my whole life. I currently have 1 dog and 2 cats and 1 four year old daughter. I’m a teacher and have summer off, so I have lots of time to take care of your pet. I’m a teacher and am off for the summer so I have time to walk, play, or snuggle your fur baby. My house is pet friendly, dogs are allowed on the couch. I have a fenced yard with grass and trees and shade. I have a very mellow 12 year old dog named Yogi and 2 indoor/outdoor cats who do their own thing.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 15. I’ve also had experience training puppies as well as walking dogs. I love to spend time with the dogs I am watching outside as well as snuggling up with them in the house. I also enjoy playing with cats and am responsible with keeping up with cleaning litters boxes, making sure all pets have plenty of water, and they are fed in time according to their schedule. Your pet will be loved and taken care of as if they were my own while you are away. :) I am a current college athlete working a part-time summer job as well as taking a short 6 week summer course (in the mornings 4 days a week). I will be in Lacey Washington from April-June and then will be moving back home to Bend, Oregon for the rest of the summer. In Lacey and Bend, I will have time to do drop-ins to check on your babies as well as give them potty breaks and/or take your dogs on walks (if your dog has experience running, I’d also love to do that!). I can also stay at your house if you need someone over night. My schedule will depend on the week, but I will keep my Rover calendar updated with my available times/days, and I am open to having a regular walking schedule with clients. I am not open to taking animals at my own place as I am currently in a on-campus apartment with not a lot of space (especially for dogs). But I will take very good care of your house whether that is me doing drop-ins or staying at your house. I can water plants or complete other tasks if you need while I am staying there. I can crate your animals while I am away if you need, and I will always make sure to stop by every 4-5 hours (depends on day, I will have basketball training, class, or work) to let them have a potty break and to ensure they have plenty of water as well as being fed on time. Your home and animals will be well taken care of!

About: The first time I left my fur baby with a sitter, I was a nervous wreck. So I get it! I know that your dog (or cat, or bunny, or hamster - I’ve taken care of them all!) is an important member of the family, and I want to make sure they’re safe and happy, and that you know your pet is in good hands while you’re away. I’ve taken care of puppies, senior dogs, and everything in between, and have done it all - cleaned up messes, administered medication, and clipped nails. I’m self employed and work from home, so I can be with your fur baby 24/7! Needless to say, I love animals, and can’t wait to meet yours! I’m self employed and work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule, and can be with your fur baby 24/7! I’ll work around your dog’s schedule. Many pets are more comfortable being in their own home, so I offer house sitting. I make sure to take care of your home like I would my own! I’m also happy to water any plants, put out garbage cans, and anything else you might need.

I knew my cat was in good hands with Joann. She was very understanding with me worrying about my cat being lonely while I was away and followed the care instructions I left including lots of play time! Joann also checked in to see if there was anything she could help with while I was away like watering plants. She is also just a pleasant person and I would happily book her again.

About: Hello! My name is Estelle. I’ve had pets my whole life, mostly cats and dogs, but also birds, fish, turtles, and lizards. Currently I have my own pup, Lemon, who is 4, but from 2020-late 2021 I traveled around the U.S. staying in other people’s homes taking care of other people’s pets. Again, mostly cats and dogs, but also hamsters, fish, and some other animals I’m sure I can’t remember at this point. While I would love to, I do not have experience with farm animals. I have administered insulin shots to cats, provided oral medication, cared for puppies just months old along with senior pets as well. While I don’t have experience in training other people’s pets, I have trained my own and understand different approaches and respect whichever method you’d like me to use with your pet. I’m generally flexible Fri-Mon. I do work a little here and there during those days but assuming your animal doesn’t need me to be there 24/7, I can usually adapt my schedule to need whatever routine they already have set in place. I wake up around 6:30, go to bed around 10:30, and am generally flexible during that time when given advance notice. I believe every pet deserves care that matches their unique personality, routine, and needs. I do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible to help them feel safe and comfortable. For dogs, that means plenty of exercise, enrichment, playtime, potty breaks, fresh water, meals on schedule, and lots of affection. For cats, I make sure they have clean litter boxes, fresh food and water, playtime if they enjoy it, and a calm, stress-free environment. I'm also comfortable administering medications, including insulin injections, when needed. I treat every home with respect by keeping things clean, following any instructions you leave, and making sure your pet has everything they need. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your furry family member is happy, healthy, and well cared for while you're away.

She’s also very responsive to my questions. We’ll definitely ask her to take care of Tui again! Highly recommend her for any pet sitting!

About: I’ve been pet sitting on and off for the last 4 years and grew up with all sorts of family pets around the house (cats, dogs, fish and other animals). I travel a lot so it’s not practical to get a pet of our own currently so I’d love to extend my love of animals to your family and treat them as my own. I run a video production company in town so most of my days are spent working from home or only being gone for a few hours max. This allows plenty of time to care for your pets, take them on neighborhood walks, and keep them company. When boarding at my house, I have a fenced in yard and a great neighborhood for walks. Your pet has plenty of space to roam around our house and yard!

Even though Amanda is working a difficult schedule these days, she was able to visit with George and take care of him as promised, including pictures taken during her visit. We're hoping Amanda will be able to get to know George better as she visits with him in the future and he becomes more comfortable with her. He is a tough nut to crack!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tumalo. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
