About: Hi I’m Dafne! I’m originally from Seattle and new to the Bend area. I’ve been dog sitting/walking for about 15 years now. Working with dogs, cats, etc. has always been my ideal side gig, and I hope to turn it into a full time career one day. With your permission I take your pet(s) on outings to local parks, lakes, and trail systems. Having pets of my own and having had personal experience with a dog with aggression issues, I’ve learned how to get on “their level” so to speak. I have experience in dog/house sitting multiple pets, for weeks at a time. I have experience walking 4+ dogs at a time. References are available upon request, please don't hesitate to ask about anything! I currently WFH part time, which means I have fairly open availability to walk and or care for your pet(s). Walks with me are 45-60 minutes, and I am also available for daily check ins. At this time I am NOT offering boarding services in my own home. However, I am able to transport your pet for walks or even rides to where they need to be.
About: I was a volunteer at the Oregon Humane Society (OHS) for six years, caring for dogs, cats, and small animals. I now work as an Animal Care Technician at an animal Shelter. My experience goes beyond feeding and walking animals—I’ve been trained in animal wellbeing, calm handling, basic behavioral training, basic grooming, introducing new dogs to other dogs, playgroups, pack walks, and leadership. I can also administer some medications if needed as well. At OHS, I served as a team lead, led tours, ran camps, trained new volunteers, and even taught a few classes. I hold a FearFree Animal Wellbeing Certification, a Breaking Up A Dog Fight Certification, and I have completed numerous training courses, and earned multiple certifications and achievements through OHS. I’m organized, dependable, and experienced, ensuring every pet in my care is safe, happy, and well-loved. Some fun animal facts about me: I’ve ridden a camel, petted a shark, and used to ride horses! Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is my passion. I am so glad I found Rachel while looking for a new drop-in visit/dog walker! With working 12 hour shifts, I’m ultimately away from my dog and cat for 14 hours including drive times on occasion and was frantically trying to find someone trustworthy that my pets also liked for visits to break up their long stretches alone.
