I work full time but my schedule is flexible enough for me to stay overnight and be away for no more than 6 hours at a time, most days no more than 4 hours at a time. On weekends I like to stay with the pets and give them all my attention. If the owner's return is delayed, I make sure that the pet's care is not affected and work with the pet owner's schedule so that the pet is not alone.

When I stay at a client 's home I make sure when they return that their pet(s) are happy and safe and their home (is clean). If requested I make sure the mail and trash/recycling are also taken care of and plants watered (bird feeders filled).

Let me know if your pet has special needs or any restrictions. I need to meet the pet in their home before agreeing to pet sit. The dog needs to be trained to walk on a leash and if possible know basic commands.
A typical day
I love to go for walks with dogs (or cats if they are trained to be on a leash) around the neighborhood, in their favorite park, or just play fetch outside in the yard. When the weather is bad (freezing cold or extremely hot) I like just hanging out with the pet inside and keep them busy. If the pet likes to snuggle I will give them lots of snuggles. If they like to be brushed, I will brush them. If they like belly rubs, i will give them lots and lots of belly rubs. When there are more than 1 dog I try to give each of them one 1:1 walk per day and individual snuggles. The other walks are two at a time. When it is extremely hot outside, I make sure the pet(s) have enough fresh water and are comfortable (if necessary I can bring my mini air cooler). I try to spend as much time as possible with the pets, and not leave them alone for too long.

Lifelong pet lover. I have experience taking care of cats and dogs that need some TLC (medication, wounds cleaned, help getting up and down stairs, separation anxiety or just need some extra love and attention). I have experience taking care of young and senior pets and pets needing medicine. I like to send daily updates + pictures to the pet owner. When I pet sit I treat the pets like family making sure they are happy. If the pet is used to a specific routine, I make sure to follow it. If I can fit in some extra walks I try to. I love to cuddle on the sofa or in bed with cats or dogs or just sit on the floor with them : giving them belly rubs, brushing them or throwing the ball, especially when the pet may be anxious and need a little more love.

Fleur is hands down our favorite pet sitter! She gives so much care to Rigley and he always comes home in great spirits. On this last visit, he was showing her signs of pain from a pre-existing injury and Fleur gave us a clear description of his symptoms, worked with us on a vet visit, and administered new prescribed medication. She even put a heating pad on Rigley’s injury and gave him a comforter to lay on. I mean….! Fleur is our most rebooked sitter for a reason! We are so grateful to her.

Fleur was a true angel in a moment of desperation for me and my sweet cat. I found out she had oral cancer shortly before having to travel for the weekend. On the evening before, Fleur jumped in and was so willing to dote on my little girl and help with her special feeding and grooming needs. She really went above and beyond to make her comfortable and keep me informed, which was truly invaluable as I navigated the heartbreak of the situation and the unfortunate logistics of the moment. Highly recommend — she is very detail oriented and will follow your instructions plus offer her own ideas and support (she offered her own fans and cat food to try, kept her water iced during the heat, brushed my little kitty, left the house very clean, etc.).
