“Shannon came to let my dogs out three days this week and is coming next week as well. She didn’t excellent job and sent me pictures and videos. My dogs love her! I would highly recommend her. :-)”

About: I’ve recently had to put my 15 year old dog down. I would love to care for yours the way I cared for mine for the past 15 years. I have walked dogs of all ages and size for the Humane Society of Central Oregon in Bend for the past 3 years. I am retired and love hiking and enjoying the outdoors. Would love to include a dog on my adventures. Not quite ready to replace my dog. We have a shared fenced yard with my in laws. They have a Golden retriever rescue just over a year. We are caring and attentive, able to care for senior dogs.
“Our kitty was very well taken care of while we were gone for 4 days. We could relax and not worry about her. I looked forward to Jordana’s daily reports plus pictures. We will be requesting her services again!”

“Janeene is a very reliable and conscientious pet sitter. She took excellent care of our senior kitty for 7 days, coming out 2x a day to feed her and help her to feel like she wasn’t totally abandoned by us. My cat was perfectly content when we got home. We will hire Janeene again.”

About: I’ve cared for animals my entire life, from my own pets to helping neighbors with theirs. Every pet is treated like family, and their safety, happiness, and comfort are always my top priorities. I’ve recently discovered a passion for dog grooming and am happy to offer basic grooming services, including bathing, brushing, ear cleaning, deshedding, and nail trims for dogs that are comfortable with them. My goal is to help your pet look and feel their best while making grooming a calm and positive experience. I’m also working with an experienced dog trainer to continue expanding my knowledge of canine behavior, handling, and training techniques. In addition, I’m currently pursuing certifications in pet first aid, CPR, and professional pet care so I can provide the highest level of care and peace of mind for every family I serve. Dog Walking: My dog-walking service is a special opportunity for my 16-year-old son, who is recovering from a traumatic brain injury and working hard to earn his own spending money. He has grown up around animals and genuinely loves spending time with dogs. All walks are supervised and coordinated through me, and if you prefer that I personally handle every walk, I’m always happy to do so. Whether your pet needs exercise, companionship, grooming, or loving care while you’re away, they’ll be treated with the same kindness, patience, and attention I give my own pets. Pet care has become one of my greatest passions. My primary focus is now caring for my family, completing my dual bachelor’s degrees, and providing loving, dependable care for pets. My husband works from home, so one or both of us are almost always here to provide companionship and supervision. We also have two teenagers who absolutely adore animals and love giving our furry guests extra attention, playtime, and affection. Our home is filled with love, and we understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. Whether your pet enjoys adventure, cuddles, or simply relaxing in a quiet spot, we’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home. Your dog’s comfort, safety, and happiness are my top priorities. We have a secure, fenced side yard with a doggy door, allowing dogs that are comfortable using it easy access for supervised potty breaks and outdoor time throughout the day. If your dog has a different routine, I’m happy to follow your preferences. Your pet will enjoy plenty of playtime with me, my family, and our friendly dogs (if appropriate). We also provide two enjoyable walks each day, along with lots of affection, enrichment, and attention. Of course, treats are always given according to your instructions, dietary preferences, and any allergies or restrictions. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away.
About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs since I was 9 but have always been the reliable choice for neighbors, family, and friends when it comes to watching over others. I have two dogs of my own (which I’ve raised from two months old) with different personalities, so I’m well versed in dealing with high energy and slightly reactive dogs. I have a hybrid schedule - work from home 2 days a week and work in Bend 3 days a week. I’m always looking for an excuse to take a screen break which is the perfect time to take your pup on a walk (at least two times during my work hours 7am-4pm). I’m used to crate training and can assist with that if needed and love to spend time outside with my own dogs to let them run their energy out. My dogs receive daily supplements, so if your dog has specific needs for meals, I’m your girl.
About: I have had a lot of experience taking care of my own dog. I have also taken care of pets for friends and family. I have experience walking, feeding and giving medication to pets. I am often available to care for pets, because I have a small school load and a seasonal job. I enjoy taking breaks outside with fur babies. I prefer to care for animals in their own homes, following all instructions provided by my client. They tend to be more at ease in their own environment.
“Checked up on my two cats for a week during break. Everything went exactly as planned and Heather was very professional and easy to work with. Would recommend and plan on rebooking.”

About: I have worked at stables, vet clinics and volunteered with rescues. I'm a "human" Nurse, but my skill set transfers easily to animals. Care, patience and tons of love. I am capable of administering medications, and skilled at special needs for dogs. I work M-Th 6-4. I am available for overnight stays, primarily on weekends! Overnights on weekdays are for animals that can be home alone during my work hours. I have lots of energy to engage and play! I do need to be able to leave periodically to check on my doggo at my own home and go out to eat, so no separation anxiety pets please. I have an escape artist dog at home. My senses are keen. I am always aware and would be the same for your pet/pets at your home. A watchful eye!

About: I have been around dogs of different temperaments and personalies my whole life and I'm the kind of person who stops to pet every dog I come across. When I spend time with my dogs I enjoy being outside and active, just as much as hanging out and giving pets. I've never met a dog I didn't get along with, and I promise they'll love hanging out with me (maybe too much). I like to either go for a walk, run, ski, or maybe even for an excursion into the mountains. It really depends on the dog though. If we need to keep it low-key then we'll just do a few laps in the neighborhood or even just hang out at home. Aside from getting the pup some exercise, I will often go spend time with friends or go run errands. In these cases I like to bring the dog with me as much as possible, but again, it depends on the dog. If you have a younger dog I can do some very basic training in obedience, commands and behavior. I work inconsistent hours and days. Outside of that I spend time outside or at the house cooking and hanging out with friends. Typically if I'm not working I will spend most of the day with the pet. When I do work, I can be gone 8 to 14 hours, so I like to get up super early to walk the dog, and take care of chores. This really depends on the pet. Some dogs like to flee if they get out, some like to stay around the people. Some dogs are friendly to other dogs, some are not. Some are all bark and no bite, some no bark and all bite. Learning how the dog does in different situations helps me figure out where I can take them, and how to take care of them and keep them safe. I think the big thing about house sitting is making sure they have everything they need before I leave them for an extended period of time: taking them out to poo, making sure they're fed, making sure there's no human food left out for them to snatch, etc.

About: Have worked as a dog walker and sitter for the last 8 years for various families all with unique dogs. My day job is a wildland firefighter but due to the nature of the job during the fall and winter I’m exclusively home and happy to help take care of your critter! Love being active with your animals. Will be happy to walk and or trail run with your pooch. We own a home with a secure fence and lots of grass with plenty of room to roam also near a park perfect for play! We reside in a nice neighborhood with many places for exercising and hiking. I will provide detail and care for your dog no matter what his or her special needs may be. I can provide references from my past to ensure your dog will be in safe and loving care with no need to worry about their care while with me! I’m a wildland firefighter and due to the nature of my job I am home in the fall and winter with an open schedule to be available to care for your critter! I am blessed to live in a great neighborhood with miles of trails for hiking and walking. I live directly across from a park where your dog can roll in the grass. I also have a fully secure fenced yard for your pooch!
About: I have been dogsitting and dog walking for over 10 years, with experience from puppies, to mature senior dogs. My dog recently passed away, at the ripe old age of 12, so I am accustomed to accommodating elderly dog's needs. I love to run and hike, and having a dog come along is the best part of those activities! I am recent graduate with my MSW from Boise State and I am spending my summer in Central Oregon as I transition into a career job! I will be working part time (occasionally full time) at the Bend Parks and Rec summer camp department, and would love to take your dog on outdoor adventures with me! I have my own vehicle that is well suited to transporting dogs to parks and trail networks. I can’t take dogs at my house, but would be happy to provide drop in visits and longer outings throughout the week. I will be working at the Bend Parks and Rec summer camp program, usually about 20-35 hours per week, so I might have some flexibility in my schedule. Currently I cannot care for pets at my home during this summer. I have my own vehicle and can visit homes to care for dogs in the central Oregon area.
About: Animals make the world go round, let me be a helping hand for any of your pets needs! I’m reliable, outdoorsy, and love animals more than anything. I’ve been surrounded by all sorts of animals my entire life and would love to spend some time with your pet, they will be in the most caring hands :) We can go over it in more detail if you decide to book with me, but I do have a very flexible schedule and will always make the time :) I’m very easy going, whatever you need me to do for your pet I’m there. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Prineville
Mekia has been an outstanding kitty sitter for us this past week. She is very personable and easy to get to know. She came to my house two times per day for 3 1/2 days. She sent several pictures of my kitty which included my somewhat standoffish cat snuggling in her lab. Mekia obviously is a pet lover and is so good with them. High recommendations for her!!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
