I currently work from home for my main career as a Spatial Data Analyst (wildlife related). Your pet would have someone around aside from the occasional trip to the store or other errand. I will always communicate openly about my schedule during your visit so you are aware of any times I may have to be out of the house.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a large fenced backyard and a 4-year-old Great Dane to keep your dog company! Thus, for stays in my home your dog must be dog-friendly, non-aggressive, and not afraid of large breeds. I also have four cats. I do have a doggie gate that keeps the cats separated, but one of them can jump the gate as she likes to sit on top of the kitchen cupboards and observe. Aaron and I have two sons, ages 7 and 10. They both have been around dogs their entire lives and are very used to respecting their space and letting dogs warm up to them. With that said, they are still kids. So for stays in our home, your dog will have to be good with other dogs, young kids, and cats. For stays in your home, your dog ideally will be okay with kids but my kids don't always need to come with depending on the dates of the stay.

Information Jordana A. would like to know about your pet

Let me know any special needs your dog requires (meds, food allergies/needs, walking behaviors, etc.). It is helpful if you write things down on a sheet of paper and send it along with your dog so I can refer to it as needed. It is also helpful if you bring their bed, crate (if you use one), toys, food bowls, and anything else that will help them feel more at home. I do also have bowls and places for them to sleep if you forget or don't want to bring them.

A typical day

We try to keep your dog's routine as close to your normal routine as possible, especially when staying in your home. We like to adapt to the individual needs of each dog. If your dog likes to go for walks, we are happy to enjoy walks with them. If not, the backyard is fun too. If they just like to nap and chill, we are down for that as well. Our kids love to play fetch if that's your dog's thing! Our kids are used to having different dogs stay with us, so they are interested for awhile and do interact with them, but they also do their own thing and give the dogs space. They are not constantly trying to engage with them.

Dog Loving Couple (Any Breed)!

Pet care experience

We have both been around and owned dogs since we were kids. I worked in a vet clinic from the time I was 14 all throughout high school. I also worked with a dog groomer for a few summers. I am an Animal Behavior College certified Dog Trainer as well as a wildlife biologist. Let's just say I love animals!! We are cat lovers too and would be more than happy to care for them also! We would provide the same level care for your pets as you do. We like to treat them like a member of our family and hope that they enjoy their time with us so much that they hardly know you are away. We know it is an honor and a privilege to be trusted with caring for your fury family member and we take that seriously and strive to never disappoint.

Thank you so much! This was our first time having someone watch our anxious pup, and it sounds like it went great. Thanks for everything!

Our kitty was very well taken care of while we were gone for 4 days. We could relax and not worry about her. I looked forward to Jordana’s daily reports plus pictures. We will be requesting her services again!
