About: I have lived with animals almost my entire life. These animals consisted of several dogs and cats, a rabbit, guinea pig, chinchilla, hamster, hedgehog, bearded dragon, some fish, a miniature horse, goats, hens and roosters, peafowl, ducks, turkeys, and geese. Oh my! My experience with animals continuously grows as I pursue this work. Since August of 2022, I have been house and pet-sitting full-time in nine different states across the US, looking after over 80 homes with a combined total of upwards of 30+ cats and 30+ dogs, some farm animals, and recently, reptiles! Many of these homes also had houseplants and gardens that needed looking after, and I have experience with growing plants from studying horticulture in college (not a single plant has died under my care yet, fingers crossed). I am newer to the Rover platform but can demonstrate my experience to homeowners in interviews and meet-and-greets with pets. During my time pet and house-sitting around the US, I was often told by homeowners that I take excellent photos of their pets (see profile pics). I take pride in the level of care I provide to pets, including the cute photos I take of them. I can hardly take credit, though, as all of the pets I look after happen to be incredibly photogenic. ;) I house and pet-sit full time while traveling, so animal care is primarily what I do. When I’m at a sit, pet care takes full priority of my time and energy and my entire routine revolves around making sure your pets get the care they need. I intentionally choose work that is flexible so that I can prioritize time with your pets, but pet-sitting is my main form of income now so I can often afford to focus 100% of my energy on looking after your fur babies. I have always been able to accommodate pets that cannot be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time. More often than not, I am present at the home during the entirety of the sit because the opportunity to watch over your pets is a welcomed and rewarding break from the constant movement and change that comes with the travel lifestyle I have. More on my scheduling preferences and availability: - I am comfortable with longer stays (my longest sit so far has been longer than a month). - I love pet-sitting in rural areas and enjoy driving out from the city. My one condition is that the road to your home should be accessible by most cars and not require high clearance or four wheel drive. I don’t currently offer services in my home (yet). You can help support a boarding service in the future by booking a dog walking or pet-sitting now. :) When I care for pets in their own home, I try to replicate their routine as closely as possible to what they are used to at home when their owners are present. I wake up at the same time homeowners do, feed pets at their usual time, and take them on walks when they would typically go out at home. That being said, because this is what I do for a living, I have so much more extra time to spend with pets. I’m often able to give pets more loving attention and care than they typically receive in a household where homeowners leave for work during the day. I’m extremely conscious of any potential hazards to pets that may be around the home and keep a clean environment. Homeowners always report their home being cleaner after they return than when they left it. Safety is a top priority of mine. Since I began house-sitting as a service to others, I have experienced situations where pet health was thrown into jeopardy and I was tested on my ability to respond calmly and effectively. During my first-ever house-sit for a client, I navigated a wildfire evacuation and prepared the property according to the homeowners’ instructions (no animals were harmed and no damage to the property). In an another house-sit on a rural farm, I encountered a possum attempting to steal one of the chickens from the coop and successfully secured the safety of the farm animals and caught and relocated the possum (no animals were injured). I understand that unexpected scenarios pop up and I’m proud to house-sit for pet owners knowing that they can rely on me and feel safe leaving their pets in my care. I’m currently working on improving my skill set to include more medical and emergency response care for animals in some capacity. I usually send photo and message updates every other day for homeowners to see how their pets are doing, but I have adjusted this to more or less frequently depending on homeowner preference. Once during a sit, in addition to regular photo and text updates, I also accommodated frequent video calls for an owner to allow her to talk to her chihuahua while she was overseas. They both seemed to appreciate that very much. :)
“Ally was completely fantastic. Took great care of our anxious, high-energy Blue Heeler while we were in Bend for vacation. Ally was communicative, flexible, and went above-and-beyond, dropping by the pet store to pick up dog food when we ran low and staying late when our plans ran long. I would trust Ally to handle any dog and any situation.”

“Sam is an awesome sitter. She shows up on time and takes good care of our dogs. I know they are both in good hands when Sam visits. We are very happy with our choice of Sam as our dog sitter and the pups are very happy too!”

About: I’ve cared for pets of all ages—from energetic puppies learning the ropes to sweet senior dogs who just need a little extra love and patience. I treat every animal like my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. What sets me apart is my gentle, attentive nature and ability to adapt to each pet’s personality and needs. Whether it’s keeping up with a playful pup, administering medication, or providing calm companionship for older pets, I always go above and beyond to make sure they feel loved and cared for. I’m reliable, communicative, and truly enjoy spending time with animals—it’s the best part of my day! Animals have always been a huge part of my life—I’ve had cats for as long as I can remember and have spent years around dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors. I truly love getting to know each pet’s personality and making them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their people are away. I currently work three days a week as a CNA, which leaves me with extra time to do something that brings me joy—caring for pets! Whether it’s a long walk, belly rubs, playtime, or quiet companionship, I’ll make sure your furry friend gets the same love and attention they do at home. Reliable, gentle, and communicative, I treat every pet like family. ❤️ When I’m caring for pets in your home, their safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take time to learn your pet’s routine—feeding times, walks, favorite toys, and any special needs—so everything stays consistent while you’re away. I make sure doors and gates are secure, keep an eye on any potential hazards, and never leave pets unattended outside. I’m respectful of your home, tidy up after myself (and your pets!), and send regular updates with photos so you can relax knowing they’re in good hands. Your pets will feel loved, and your home will be treated with care and respect—just like I’d want for my own. ❤️
About: I've been taking care of pets since I was very young. I've raised puppies and kittens from birth, tended older dogs who need help getting around, done some high-maintenance medicine routines, intricate feeding schedules, and some significant first aid on animals. (I successfully performed CPR on a chihuahua one time, nursed another chihuahua through a slashed cornea, and have nursed one or two cats with abcesses from fighting through to good health.) I work full-time on a night shift four days out of the week, so I'm definitely a weekend Rover, with anywhere from noon through to 5am being my best available times! (If you need something very specifically between 3am and 5am on a weekday, I suppose I'm technically free during those hours??) I love dogs, and I love getting around Central Oregon, so dog walking is right up my alley! I love finding niche trails and new parks to take dogs to so they always have something new to sniff, and exploring places with your pet only builds my roster of cool dog adventure spots for all my lil fluffy guy friends! Currently trying to hard work myself into buying a house with my future husband 😷. Serving the Redmond/Bend/Sisters/Madras/Prineville areas! I'm very flexible to an animal's needs; my own dog flip-flops with me from being a 9-mile hike kind of dog to a total couch potato to needing crazy play time, so she keeps me up to date on all the dog needs! Whether your dog just needs dinner in his bowl and to stretch his legs in the yard, or a mile long walk, a ball thrown at the park for an hour, or the correct pills in the correct dosage at the correct time, I'm there to make it happen and keep him happy, healthy, and safe! I'm very proactively concerned about what animals come in contact with outside of the home, even for vaccinated animals, and I make sure that places I walk dogs are clean environments, free of broken glass or animal refuse, and as close to nature as I can get them. For a very large or strong dog, I might ask if you'd be ok with me walking them with a head halter to reduce pulling, due to the fact that I love really big dogs, but I myself am not very big! Very good at footwork and grounding though, have successfully walked a straight line with an very distracted American Akita 20lbs heavier than myself in the past. While I do my utmost to keep a perfectly safe environment, things happen sometimes, and when they do, I have personal experience with pet first aid, on a variety of animals. Everything from keeping care of abcesses on cats to setting a kitten's leg, nursing a chihuahua's cat-slashed cornea to a successful heal, doing actual cpr on that chihuahua's brother (they were quite prone to mishap) and ensuring that a distended eye on a terrier-chihuahua mix stayed wetted through to getting him to a proper vet. (The key to first aid is knowing what's worth a $5,000 vet bill, truly.) Monitoring an animal's condition after a surgery or medication change is a huge responsibility that I take very seriously and pay close attention to- your pet is is loving and concerned hands in my care.
About: I've worked with dogs of all ages both personally and professionally. From puppy to seniors. I've raised my own from 6 weeks old into adulthood so aware of training from a young age. Have worked with older dogs who need extra care and special instructions. I am active so can do plenty of walks or runs or whichever to accommodate your fur baby's energy. I appreciate when I have detailed instructions so I can take better care of an animal, really get to know them and not throw them off of their routine. Every one's happy and wins! I love doing photo sessions so you'll get plenty of photos and videos! If you would like for me to pet/house sit, I am very conscious and respectful of homes. It will be like I was never there! My house stays clean so yours will definitely be! I love all the animals! The skittish and grumpy ones get even more special care because its my mission to make them all my friends! I have never owned anything other than a dog, cat and fish but have taken care of exotic fishes and reptiles. Open to all animals! Also willing to discuss rates since I'm new to the area. My rates are priced at the care and quality that I know I give but would like to see what works for everyone out here! :) Going to school and mainly work from home so I would work around you and your babys schedules! My schedule will change at some point but I will update this to reflect that. Completely open to dates if Im not booked and even if I am, I would try to help with visitation instead. I like to run when my knee allows, but for sure walks or no walks, if thats what your doggo needs. They'll be along side either way! I don't own any pets right now so I can fully focus on your babies! If you prefer your baby to have company, I can always find them a friend to join our party.I normally prefer to start with a meet and greet so all parties are comfortable. Open to any requests and normally ask for detailed instructions. Completely comfortable with having/walking multiple animals at once. The more the merrier!
“Our kitty was very well taken care of while we were gone for 4 days. We could relax and not worry about her. I looked forward to Jordana’s daily reports plus pictures. We will be requesting her services again!”

“I was so worried leaving Bear for the 1st time, but Janis was very loving and caring. This is also the 1st time I've come home where Bear seems relaxed and calm. With his age going to the kennel is getting too much for him. Janis took really good care of him while I was away.”

About: I have been taking care of my neighbors, dogs, and cats throughout my life. Care has ranged from dropping by just to make sure the food and water bowl is still full to staying overnight and going on multiple walks a day. I have a vehicle that can transport animals in if you do not have a walkable neighborhood or would prefer your pet to go out on a trail. From puppies to senior dogs, cats, reptiles, and even fish- I’m happy to help take care of your furry/feathered/slimy family members! I am happy to house sit during the work week and can take care of animals before and after work hours. With 3 day weekends, I have more flexibility to stop by in the middle of the day or several times a day! Saftey is at the forefront of my mind I want to be very mindful of the environment, most importantly people and other animals. I also assume responsibility if there is some sort of mess created by your animals I am happy to clean that up.
About: Hey all! I’ve been working in vet med as a vet tech for about 10 years now. My career and education has given me experience with animals, including special needs animals, special handling, basic first aid, medication (including injections), etc. I also have experience with volunteering at animals shelters, fostering cats and dogs, and my own pets; giving me a wide variety of experience such as training, handling strong and excited dogs on leashes, administering medication, CPR, and much more. I have two dogs of my own who are very friendly and who I take on walks, hikes and jogs and they would love extra company. If your dogs are not so friendly we can discuss the options! Additionally; I offer nail trims, anal gland expressions, and ear cleanings for an additional charge upon request. These are things I do several times a day at work, so I have plenty of experience. I work Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and am out of the house for almost 10 hours those days. I am still about to fit in a dog walk on the days or a drop in visit. I have a fully fenced back yard and two friendly dogs that will be keeping your dog company (if appropriate). I am open to almost any of your special requests as I know how stressful leaving your four legged friend can be!
About: Dogs have been my companion for most of my childhood and adult life. I have had puppies, senior dogs and dogs that require medication, wound and skin care and strict feeding schedules. I love all dogs, all sizes but the majority of my dogs have been large to giant breed. I enjoy playing, hanging and walking my four legged friends. Jarvis my Irish Wolfhound is apx 150lbs while my "little" dog is an Antolian Shepard at 85lbs (she truly is a runt!). I am open most days for drop in visits, walks and some playtime. Overnight availability will be open on a 3 week rotating schedule schedule. In the right circumstances I may be able to watch pets in my home, after a compatibility visit to see if it is a fit with my 2 dogs. I am able to pet sit in all living conditions, homes, apartments, fenced or not fenced. I can either crate your pup or they can sleep with me if that is your routine. My goal is to keep your pet in their routine as much as possible so they feel safe and cared for when away from you.

I have a Chihuahua mix, hes 30 pounds and his name is Roo. I also have Gus Gus, or Uncle Gus, he’s 35 pounds. He takes every dog I have fostered and teaches them how to play and just be a dog. He is the best! They love playmates! However, if your dog likes to just lay around and not much for playing, They are pretty good at backing off. I love all animals and would love to love on and play with your beloved pup while you are gone. I also frequently have a pup or 2 that I am fostering.
