Safety, trust & environment
you’ll receive timely replies and clear updates and photos every visit. I follow your instructions closely and I always prioritize safety with secure leashing, door/gate checks, and weather-aware walk times.
Information Josie H. would like to know about your pet
Has your dog ever presented aggressive behavior [attacking and/or biting other animals or humans]? I do not accept aggressive dogs for the safety of myself and the dog. Other things I'd like to know: Is your dog reactive? Does your pet have any medical issues or take medications?
A typical day
Anxious/Shy: slow introductions, soft voice, predictable cues; avoid crowded routes; add decompression sniff-walks; Senior: shorter, more frequent potty; joint-friendly pace; non-slip paths; meds/reminders logged carefully; extra water checks. Reactive: choose quiet routes/times; keep distance; reward “check-in” behavior; no on-leash greetings

loving,reliable sitter - Insured
Pet care experience
Insured and Bonded through Pet Sitters Associates I’m a patient, safety-minded pet sitter with 3 years of experience and flexible availability. I have experience with shy and anxious dogs. I work from home so I am able to spend as much time as needed with your pets! During each visit I handle potty breaks, a relaxed walk or light play (as appropriate), fresh water, and a quick tidy of food and leash areas, so your pup feels cared for and your home stays in order. You’ll receive timely replies and clear updates and photos every visit. I follow your instructions closely and I always prioritize safety with secure leashing, door/gate checks, and weather-aware walk times. Services include daily dog walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting/overnights. I’m a great fit for dogs who benefit from a gentle, consistent approach. If you’d like, we can schedule a quick meet-and-greet so I can learn your dog’s cues and comforts. My goal is simple: stress-free care for your pet and total peace of mind for you. Please note that I am only able to do drop-in visits in Redmond. Rover defaults to 30 min or 1 hour visits. If you are needing more than that just let me know and I am happy to arrange it! For housesitting, I am willing to travel most places in central oregon for stays more than 2 nights.
Reviews

Josie left a very detailed sitter card after her drop in visit, we would trust her again with our high energy staffy/pitt!

Josie was fantastic! We felt completely at ease knowing ourtwo senior pups were getting the best possible care at home so they wouldn't be stressed out in a kennel. Josie is a kind, compassionate and very capable dog and house sitter. We appreciated her so much!

Our dogs and cats were well cared for! She house/pet sat for us. She had a checklist to make sure she provided proper care from scooping the litter box to snuggling each pet every day! We will definitely be using her again for our next trip

Josie did a fine job staying at our home and looking after our 2 Scotty pups for 14 days. They loved her and she performed all our requests as to their feeding, playtime etc. perfectly. She showed herself to be trustworthy and attentive. We would have her back again without question.
