“I was so pleased with the care my dog, Jessie, received this last week June 7 - 10. I was able to enjoy my mini vacation knowing Jessie was in a setting of care that fostered her well being and happiness. It was nice receiving text/photo updates throughout her stay. I highly recommend the two of them for a safe, fun place to have your dog taken care of in your absence. I plan to book with them again!”

“Shay was great to work with! Dennis had a great weekend and I got regular updates and pictures on how he was doing! Would definitely use her again in the future. Thanks for taking such great care of our Dennis:)”

“Rosie was well taken care of and Nova, Jonathan’s dog, was a great friend for her to hang out with. We were kept well informed and received pictures of Rosie throughout her stay. We will definitely use Jonathan again if we come back to Eugene and need a dog sitter!”

“Sarah and Anthony were the perfect sitters for our little dog. They also have a big dog and small dog to keep her company. Their house is very dog friendly as are they, thank you so much for taking such good care of her and sending pictures. This experience could not have been better!”

“Madison took great care of my little senior. She provided me updates and pictures. My girl was as perfect when I picked her up as she was when I dropped her off. Would recommend!”

“Angeline was amazing! She sent pictures and kept us updated with how our dog Bambi was doing. She cleaned all our stuff we packed for her too: blankets, bowls, etc. She has a really nice space and backyard, and Bambi had so much fun!”

“Journey was an excellent choice for my sweet Lily. Lily is a soulful pup and takes her time to warm up to strangers and seeing her thrive under Journeys care was wonderful too see!”

“Julie was so great with Rocko: I loved the pictures and updates, and of course, the glowing report card at the end! Her calming presence left me with zero concern while I was away for work. I'm so lucky to have been able to book with her and have the peace of mind that Rocko was very well cared for.”

“Alexandra took excellent care of my dogs and was so willing to take them on short notice when my prearranged sitter had a family emergency and cancelled.”

“Valerie took such great care of my two kitty boys! She was truly amazing with them and also with me - sending photos frequently along with updates. She answered my questions and special requests to make sure Izzy was peeing first day. I was able to go visit them as well. Her home is clean and neat. When we arrived to her special room for kitties for drop-off day, it was so welcoming and all set up for two cats. I felt so welcomed. I will have to replicate some of the beds and carpet she has for them, they loved them so much. There is a big, secure catio with kitty door for those cats with indoor-outdoor preferences; it has a whole wooden structure in it for them to climb or be up high or down on the ground. Valerie gave my boys lots of loves and playtime/laptime. Milo "helped" her with paperwork (ahem). She is calm and warm and loving. When I visited, they were so calm. Izzy was hesitant at first, hiding under the bed, but by day 2 he was ready to get rubs and playtime. She even plays soothing kitty t.v./music for them. I 100% recommend Valerie and her set-up. She also invited me for a meet and greet before booking. I am so grateful for Valerie taking care of my cats while I traveled and looked for a rental.”

“Juno was well cared for and happy when I picked him up after staying with Erin. Great communication and daily photos. I would definitely book with Erin again.”

About: I've raised 2 puppies who spent their whole life with me. I've adopted 1 rescue and 1 senior. They have had health issues (particularly the rescue and senior) so I'm familiar with some of the early and intermediate signs. We are now at a point in our lives where we want to still spend time with dogs, but we aren't looking for the 24/7 commitment. So we would like to host your furry baby for a night or a weekend and give him all the joy of a good friendship without the kennel experience of a dog hotel. We will be taking on pet care Friday thru Sunday. We may be able to support an emergency during the week, but since we both work full time, that would mean I would need to work from home for a day (which is pawsible with notice). However, it would not be our preferred schedule. We want to spend time with your dogs playing and relaxing - not just leaving them in an unfamiliar space while we are at the office. We are looking for day or overnight services on the weekends when we are free and planning to be home. We would expect you to bring enough food and medication to last their expected stay plus 1 day (in case of unforeseen circumstances). Then leave the rest to us. We will give regular bathroom breaks and play times (no yard), much love and pets and be vigilant about your recommended food/medicine. We do not look forward to creating your animal. So we expect at least one of us (husband or wife) to be home at all times and we expect your dog to be housebroken.
“Erika is incredible. She will care for your dog as if she were her own. My dog, Ziggy, loves her and enjoys being with her. Erika is responsible, reliable, and very caring. Erika is truly a wonderful person and a great dog sitter.”
“Ruthie was amazing, communicative, sent awesome pictures the whole time, and my dogs loved it. Ruthie even created a little doggie bag to go with a report card review of how great the dogs were. This is a really sweet touch and next time we are in Eugene we will definitely seek out Ruthie and Jolly Olly again - thanks again for everything.”
“Jacqueline took great care of our dog while we were away for the weekend. She gave us lots of updates and sent frequent pictures so we knew our buddy was doing well. When we picked him up, he seemed pooped, so we know he got lots of attention and exercise. We would 100% have our fur baby stay with Jacqueline again!”

About: Hi! I'm a dependable and compassionate pet lover who truly enjoys caring for animals. I have experience caring for both small and large dogs, including a Husky/Pit Bull mix, so I'm comfortable with energetic, strong breeds as well as smaller companions. I have experience walking dogs, sticking to their routines, and making sure they get the exercise, attention, and care they need. I'm also highly experienced with cats and understand that every cat has a unique personality. Whether your cat is playful and social or shy and independent, I'll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for while you're away. In addition to dogs and cats, I have a Flemish Giant rabbit of my own, so I'm familiar with caring for rabbits and other small pets. Having experience with different types of animals has taught me patience, attention to detail, and the importance of following each pet's individual routine. When you're away, I'll treat your pets like they're my own. I'll provide plenty of love, playtime, exercise, and regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind knowing they're happy and in good hands. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and dedicated to giving every pet the care they deserve. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Pet care fits easily into my schedule, and I make sure every pet gets the time and attention they deserve. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, and I do my best to be flexible with scheduling. Whether your pet needs a morning walk, an evening visit, or extra playtime and cuddles, I'm committed to following their normal routine so they feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. I work part time Wed-Friday to 4 PM, otherwise I’m available! I have a small house with a Flemish Giant breed bunny named Jessie! She is in a separate caged area, safe and secure. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions (if needed), and any special care requests you provide. I'm experienced with both small and large dogs, highly experienced with cats, and I also care for rabbits, so I understand that every animal has unique needs. I'll treat your home with respect, keep you updated with photos and messages, and make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and stress-free while you're away.
About: I’ve had dogs in the past; loved them and walked them every day. I’ve trained puppies before on how to walk on a lease and more. I’ll be able to give them lots of attention in the morning and afternoons/evenings. I work a flex schedule, but the flexibility allows me to make my own schedule. On the weekends I’ll be with your pet full time. I have a fenced front and back yard. I will walk them and feed them on their schedule. I’ll probably love them too much to and take too many pictures.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Eugene
This was my first time using Rover, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Brittany took amazing care of Orion and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She was incredibly communicative, sending regular updates and lots of pictures, which meant so much to me. It was clear that Orion was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. I truly appreciated her kindness, professionalism, and the peace of mind she gave me. I will absolutely be booking with Brittany again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional dog sitter!

Book with Ruthie. Our pup was so perky, happy, and relaxed when we came to pick him up after a 4 night stay. He is usually an anxious pup scrambling to leave the boarder’s house. But with Ruthie, he came out to greet us then started to lead us back in 😆 Ruthie gave Great updates, respected our wishes, and was easily accessible. We plan to book with her again and would recommend her services.

Dez is an amazing pet sitter! I got regular updates about my pup and felt extremely at ease knowing she was well taken care of. All questions were answered promptly and Kibou had a blast on her little vacation wtih Dez. I would absolutely trust Dez to watch any pets any time! :)

Emma took amazing care of Rusty while we were away for 4 weeks in Germany. It’s always hard leaving a pet for that long, but he felt right at home with her immediately. He also absolutely loved hanging out with her dog, Ghost, and they got along perfectly. I had total peace of mind the entire month. I would book with her again anytime and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, trustworthy sitter!

Jessi was unbelievably kind and accommodating for my special needs dog. Even though I told her not to bother sending pictures because we would be out of cell range - when we got service back I was welcomed with a bunch of happy pictures! Nova didn’t want to leave, which is seats a great sign!

10 stars! Elizabeth has a great love for dogs. Mochi was in the best care with her. She took him in like he was her own. She made sure he had so much fun with so many outings, doggy play dates, and snuggles. She had great communication throughout. We highly recommend her and will definitely reach out to her again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
