I have already booked my pup's next stay with Joshua. He is a dog person through and through, a good soul, and loves providing his canine B&B as his business. My Rusty is one year old and had little socializing with other dogs, but Josua "auditioned" him with the family dogs in advance, which ensured a great fit. Rusty came home after a week of hanging with the pack, and he's calmer and more confident when we go out for drives or walks. Joshua is a good communicator and will relieve your anxiety over finding a suitable sitter.

Our dogs love, Tori! Her fenced back yard is like a giant playground for our Lab (who loves Tori’s sweet girl, Mona!) and is easy for our older dog to get around in, as well. They were so excited when we pulled in for our second visit that I couldn’t get the leash off our dog before she and Mona were off and playing! We’re looking forward to the next over night visit while we’re on vacation. Such peace of mind to know they’re in a safe and loving environment while we’re away! Thank you, Tori!!

Angeline was amazing! She sent pictures and kept us updated with how our dog Bambi was doing. She cleaned all our stuff we packed for her too: blankets, bowls, etc. She has a really nice space and backyard, and Bambi had so much fun!

About: I have 10+ years of experience caring for dogs. Anyone that knows me, knows that I am a dog-lover through and through! Since early middle school, my family and I have rescued and loved 4 amazing dogs. Beyond caring for my own dogs, I've cared for dogs of family, friends, and co-workers in their homes. As I write this, I'm watching two great pups! I am responsible, caring, and have experience with a variety of different breeds. From bigger dogs like Great Danes, Pitbulls, Bulldogs, and Boxers to smaller pups like terriers, Chihuahuas, and all kinds on little poodle mixes. I am happy to walk, feed, snuggle, play or just spend time with your fur babies! I'm available for boarding on weekends. I work hybrid and can occasionally accommodate longer stays depending on when I work from home. I spend a lot of time at home and would be able to spend a lot time with your pet. I live in an apartment, so frequent potty breaks and walks outside would be given. I would prefer to crate your dog while i'm out of the apartment. I'm not usually away for more than a couple of hours.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and grew up with three dogs and cats, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me. I’ve also watched and cared for neighbors’ and friends’ pets over the years, which has given me experience with different breeds, personalities, and routines. What sets me apart is how genuinely much I love animals and how seriously I take caring for them. I know every pet has their own personality and needs, and I always try to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away. Whether that means sticking to their normal routine, giving them extra attention, or just being patient and calm with them, I want them to feel as at home as possible. As a graduate student, I’m responsible, dependable, and organized, and I bring that same mindset into pet care. I understand that trust is a huge part of leaving your pet with someone, and I want owners to feel fully confident that their pet is in good hands. My schedule is very flexible right now, which allows me to be available for a variety of pet care needs. I’m available all weekdays and weekends! I always make safety and trust my top priorities when caring for someone’s pet. Whether I’m in my home or a client’s home, I make sure pets are in a clean, comfortable, and secure environment where they can feel relaxed and cared for. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions from the owner. I know every animal is different, so I try to make the experience as stress free as possible by keeping things consistent and giving them plenty of attention, patience, and care. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the pet’s space and the owner’s home, and I always aim to keep things tidy and follow directions closely. My goal is to make pets feel safe and comfortable while giving owners peace of mind that their animal is in good hands.

About: I’m constantly around animals. I’m wanting to become a veterinarian technician once I get into collage. I was raised having animals. I don’t recall any animals not liking me. I’m a very genuine person. I am very caring when it comes to animals. I’m a huge animal lover also very active when it comes to walks. I’ll make sure ur animals are well cared for. And your house. I was raised a hard worker and very responsible. I promise I will not let you down if you hire me. I hope I can show you how much care I will give for ur animals and I won’t let you down! I am not working right now, so I will have plenty of time to play with your animals! I am free every day. I am available anytime. I will make sure they have everything they need to survive with, food, water, toys, and treats if they need. I can put them in their kennel if need be, and make sure they are well taken care of with lots of love.

About: All types of animals (cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, horses, llamas, goats, sheep) have been part of my life forever. I love all animals, most of them more than humans! Currently 2 large dogs, 3 cats, 4 chickens and 1 human are my "family". Previously I lived on 36 acres and took care of my horse, 2 donkeys, a herd of goats and chickens. I recently retired and am looking to fill some of my time taking care of your animals and home. I am happy to take care of any types of animal and will provide love and care for your pets while your away. I recently retired from being an insurance agent for 20 years and am very flexible with my time and can be available for short or longer stays. I will take great care of your pets, will administer medications, walk them or play ball, keep them company while your gone. And I will treat your home and belongings with respect and keep it clean and safe.

Joseph was an excellent dog sitter and took the best care of our 2 goldendoodles for nearly 3 weeks. Our senior dog has a hard time with traditional walks and Joseph’s place was perfect for him. He could walk around, sniff and play in a huge enclosed yard- just what he needed. We appreciated the photos and updates. We will definitely use his services in the future!

About: Animals have been a part of my life for over 30 years, and caring for them has become my lifelong passion. For the past five years, I’ve run my own professional pet-care business, building long-term relationships with clients who value trust, reliability, and genuine love for their pets. At Gentle Paws Home Care, I provide a calm, nurturing environment where dogs can feel safe, relaxed, and at home. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m caring for them in your home, they’ll enjoy gentle routines, quiet walks, soft places to rest, and plenty of affection. For dogs who need a little more activity, I also offer my signature adventure walks—hour-and-a-half off-leash excursions that let your pup explore, play, and connect with nature in a balanced, mindful way. My references reflect the consistency, compassion, and professionalism I bring to every animal I care for. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority. With over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities, I’ve learned how to make them feel safe, loved, and understood. To me, dogs aren’t just pets — they’re people with their own unique personalities, and I take pride in giving them the care and attention they deserve. I run volunteer groups at Zumwalt park and take a lot of pride in our doggy community there. In my home, pets are truly part of the family. I’m with them the entire time, so they’re never left feeling lonely. I have plenty of cozy dog beds throughout the house, and if your pup prefers, they’re always welcome to snuggle up in my bed at night. We enjoy two large walks a day (and often a third smaller evening stroll), along with snacks, games, and fun activities to keep them happy and engaged. When I provide care in a client’s home, I do my best to stick closely to the routine and schedule you’ve set. I know how important consistency is, so I keep things as normal and comfortable as possible while making sure your dog feels safe, loved, and cared for every step of the way.

Ruthie took great care of our little pup! She checked in frequently and sent us lots of pictures so we knew he was having a good time. She also took him on walks each day and gave him lots of snuggles. Malaia is the best sitter I have ever had. She kept me continuously updated on the care of my senior dog. She kept reassuring me that my fur baby was in good hands. My dog liked her and her fur babies from the moment they first met. I will let her keep my dog again very soon. I really like that the dogs have a nice yard to play in. She followed my instructions of giving my dog his food and medicine very well.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 300 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Elmira. About 92% of Elmira sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
