About: 'No worries'. I want you to feel confident in your decision to have a true 'No worries' time away from home. I can confidently say, I will give your fur baby(s) the best care they will need while your away. I can if needed administer medications as well. You tell me what your baby's specific needs are, I'm here to fill that need. I love doggies and know how It is important, as I know it is important to you to have your fur babies comfortable, happy, healthy and safe. . Hi, my name is Lucie. I have a natural calmness and patience about me that brings ease and confidence to your pups, which helps fur babies feel comfortable and safe. As a kid, I loved to spend time with my dogs and my horses, and for most of my life I had continued parenting different breeds of dogs, giving basic obedience, gaining mutual respect and nicely walking on a leash. I owned poochies as small as a 8 lb Terrie-poo on up to a 130 lb Samoyon husky Shephard, and other size breeds in between. I've spent time observing personalities, behaviors in dogs and how dogs communicate with eachother and with humans. I am grateful I had such successful experiences with so many different breeds, from puppies to seniors. Through my adult life, dog parents have been so grateful for my care and help, saying that I have a dog whisper way that not many people have. I even had an opportunity when a lady reached out to me to help work with a deaf very high energy Dalmatian Springer Spanial mix. she was so cool and a successful experiences. While caring for your baby(s) in your home, we discuss your needs and I listen to you as to the specific instructions needed for your fur baby. Your scheduled time for feeding, or for medication, potty needs and ect... All dogs are not the same and I understand that each have their own needs and their own likes and dislikes. I can assure you with the utmost confidence they will be completely safe on our walks and stay away from harm. I like taking walks and have coached many dogs to walk nice on a lead.
“This was our first booking with Rover and Sarah. She kept us updated on our kitties and sent tons of pics. Sarah is very personable and professional. If she wasn’t sure of something she didn’t hesitate to ask (we told her to reach out anytime with questions). Our getaway turned into a great trip knowing our animals were being taken care of. Sarah truly put my mind at ease and we are forever grateful.”
“As always Gabriela is a delight to work with. She goes above and beyond to take care of my fur baby and make sure all his needs are met. I cannot express how grateful I am to have someone whom I trust and value so much watching over my pet.”

About: I have no special skills per se, just a lot of love for dogs! I grew up with dogs my whole life and don’t currently have any pets, so I am just itching for some doggie time; walking, playing, cuddling, etc. Please let me hang out with your dog! I am free as a bird! I can be available for pretty much anything, any time! My baby naps on the go anywhere. Family dinners every night are our only scheduled event every day :) I live in an apartment that has a little dog area perfect for quick potty breaks, but I am in my 10k steps a day era so I really need a dog buddy to walk with me around the park or the neighborhood! I’m more than happy to take your dog to their favorite dog park too!
About: Animals have been a part of my life for over 30 years, and caring for them has become my lifelong passion. For the past five years, I’ve run my own professional pet-care business, building long-term relationships with clients who value trust, reliability, and genuine love for their pets. At Gentle Paws Home Care, I provide a calm, nurturing environment where dogs can feel safe, relaxed, and at home. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m caring for them in your home, they’ll enjoy gentle routines, quiet walks, soft places to rest, and plenty of affection. For dogs who need a little more activity, I also offer my signature adventure walks—hour-and-a-half off-leash excursions that let your pup explore, play, and connect with nature in a balanced, mindful way. My references reflect the consistency, compassion, and professionalism I bring to every animal I care for. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority. With over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and personalities, I’ve learned how to make them feel safe, loved, and understood. To me, dogs aren’t just pets — they’re people with their own unique personalities, and I take pride in giving them the care and attention they deserve. I run volunteer groups at Zumwalt park and take a lot of pride in our doggy community there. In my home, pets are truly part of the family. I’m with them the entire time, so they’re never left feeling lonely. I have plenty of cozy dog beds throughout the house, and if your pup prefers, they’re always welcome to snuggle up in my bed at night. We enjoy two large walks a day (and often a third smaller evening stroll), along with snacks, games, and fun activities to keep them happy and engaged. When I provide care in a client’s home, I do my best to stick closely to the routine and schedule you’ve set. I know how important consistency is, so I keep things as normal and comfortable as possible while making sure your dog feels safe, loved, and cared for every step of the way.
“Amy did a fantastic job with our cat Pepper. She was able to gain his trust and administer his insulin injections while we were away. She is dependable, flexible and a great communicator. Would highly recommend her for all types of pet care.”

About: I recently moved back in to the area from California. We are still getting our bearings off the city and finding new places to play and explore As a disabled veteran and single mom, i am home most of the time, outside of some time at the gym or taking my 3 year old to the park. She loves animals, is quite gentle, and is never just left with animals alone. She tends to be helpful in filling Lola's bowl with water and food and tossing a treat to show some love. If kids are not okay, I am child free Saturday through Sunday afternoons, for those times when you need to be doggy free. Fresh water is provided inside and out on the deck to bask, as well as a constant eye when not out for a walk. I tend to avoid dog parks with other people's pets under my watch, I'd prefer to maintain a safe and predictable environment.
“Kaylee was very accommodating and flexible. She gave great updates and took excellent care of our furbabies! Would definitely book with her again and highly recommend that you do the same!”

“Great job caring for my Nico! Gave him the potty break and energy release he needed during my long work days! Will be using in the future for sure! Thank you again for all your help, and being so helpful!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
